CyanogenMod 10.1 Jellybean 4.2.2 - KANG
CyanogenMod is an enhanced open source firmware distribution for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile operating system. It offers features and options not found in the official firmware distributed by vendors of these devices. Features supported by CyanogenMod include native theming support, FLAC audio codec support, a large Access Point Name list, an OpenVPN client, an enhanced reboot menu, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB tethering, CPU overclocking and other performance enhancements, soft buttons and other "tablet tweaks", toggles in the notification pull-down (such as wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS), app permissions management, as well as other interface enhancements. CyanogenMod does not contain spyware or bloatware. In many cases, CyanogenMod may increase performance and reliability compared with official firmware releases.

Hey there, here is a CM-10.1 KANG, Device tree is based off of Evervolv's (thanks so much) Other then that and some patches to framework to get camera going its all CM. I also included a modified kernel. Kernel is also based off of Evervolv's with some changes. Mainly I undervolted the lower cpu freqs. by ~25mV up until 1200 Mhtz, after that freq all voltages are the same as Evervolv's. I also added some more governors. Lazy, Smartassv2, lagfree, and interactiveX. Ondemand is default. I will be updating this ROM on a regular basis. Check below for source code and more details. As always: remember it takes a FULL charge from AC, and a full discharge then re charge batteryt to be accurate. Also leave it plugged in for up to an hour at 100%, Another thing i find helps battery life is to make custom auto-adjustment values if you use auto-brightness. Check below for full changelog Feedback always welcome Please read the Kernel section for more info and full config options for the kernel.

* Removed/Disabled KSM
* Removed ZRAM
* Optimized and compiled with with the "Optimize a lot, or -o3 option)
* Added more I/O schedulers

* OC to 1900Mhtz (default 1024Mhtz, Recomended: 1200Mhtz)

* Added CPU Governors: Smartassv2, lazy, lagfree, interactiveX
* User-configurable CPU OC
* User-configurable CPU default governor (ondemand = default)
* User-configurable I/O scheduler (default = DEADLINE)
Bugs
When taking a picture the screen turns green for a second. image is not effected
Notes
* As of Feb-19 CyanognMod changed the way the reboot menu works. To enable the "Advanced Reboot" menu with recovery and bootloader go to Settings>Developer Options and Check Advanced Reboot
* As of AOSP 4.2.2 ADB now has a whitelist feature. On first connect with adb it will say device offline You need to update your ADB then with the phone connected. Disable and Re-Enable Android Debugging in the Developer Options menu. It will ask if you want to accept and show the PC's RSA key. Select Yes and it will now work as expected
* As of AOSP 4.2.1 Developer Options and Performance setting menu options are hidden until you go into about phone and tap build number repeatedly (aprox. 6 times) this only needs to be done once
* If you are coming from another ROM i highly recommend you perform and Wipe Date/Factory Reset in recovery menu when applying this ROM.
* The gapps linked to does not have photosphere. As far as i know it's not supposed to. If you want photophere search for the flashable zip
* If you can't get MMS to work. Send yourself a MMS. or just wait a day. eventually they will work again

first create the folder structure for your source. I suggest creating android/system n your home directory.
Now cd into this directory enter this command
Code:
repo init -u git://github.com/Team-Hydra/android.git -b cm-10.1
repo sync
Once you have done that your ready to go. simply run:
Code:
. build/envsetup.sh
./vendor/cm/get-prebuilts
lunch cm_glacier-userdebug
mka bacon
make sure before you start a new build to always run make clobber
If anyone would like to help bug bash with me feel free. if you make any progress send me a pull request
Happy Developing,

Yeah pretty much. I might skip a couple days if there arent really any changes (a lot of times they are just translation updates) but for the most part yes

i realize that you probably don't have much time, so it's fine that you mostly copied and pasted from the sensation ROM page. i just want to make sure that what's stated in the OP is what's actually going on with the kernel and such. regardless, thanks for making this ROM!
---------- Post added at 05:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 PM ----------
especially with the reboots that a lot of the other ROMs seem to be facing...i'm sure once it gets fixed on one, it'll carry over to all of them

OK, good to know this is a bug. i wasn't sure if the glacier could do 720p/1080p video. its not my primary device. Is it just 720p it can do or 1080p as well. (you would think only 720p)

difference is mine is ported this is compiled, i will probably take my cm10.1 port thread and turn it into an aosp thread.
Trying this ROM:
1. Trackpad wake zip from PACman_GLACIER WORKS! (link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933896)
2. Settings -> security doesn't FC. which FCs in another CM10.1 ROM
3. Dev settings is hidden by default. To enable it, go to Settings -> About phone, then tap the bottom section (where it shows Build number) 7 times.
4. Antutu benchmark is pretty much the same as another CM10.1 ROM

FAQ
Q: Do I need to wipe everything while upgrading from earlier CM10.1 build?
A: In general: only dalvick-cache and cache. But in case after upgrade you got bootloop (or stuck at cm logo or getting fc after boot) then you shuold wipe data.
Q: The 'Developer and Performance options' from 'settings' are gone. Where are they?
A: Touch the 'Build number' seven times in 'about phone'. Then they will appear.
Q: I have SD card bug, What to do ?
A: Connect your phone to usb at boot, your sd card bug will gone (NOTE: This bug Fixed in RC5)
Q: my phone freeze or white screen on Opening an App, what to do ?
A: go to the hwa setting app and disable hwa for that app, mostly browser need it (note: not needed from RC5)
Q: I'm facing touch hang in lockscreen
A: don't panic! just relock your phone and then unlock, however cybojenix said he is working on this bug and it will be fixed soon
Q: I can't use mass storage from RC5
A:
Use MTP
you can read this article to get more info on mtp/ptp
and for ubuntu users, follow this guide to use mtp
and mac users can follow this guide
(Note: mtp Is default since RC6 )
Q: When I powered on my Phone it goes into blackscreen
A: Reboot your phone into recovery and then reboot phone, This is bug in 3.0 kernel and currently we don't have any log on this bug and due to no log we stuck here
Q: When ever i open camera, my phone reboot
A: This is so strange bug and it only for few users with 3.0 kernel and right now i'm out of idea for this problem

just checked, doesn't work, but it will need implementing at source level as well. If you haven't merged the sources by the time I'm free, I'll merge it together
Also, tested wifi, scanning doesn't work (but didn't give it long so it might work) but manually connecting to network does
another first for the p350, first armv6 to have working wifi

* Accurately describing the setup include how to replicate it.

Yeah it was built using the Skyrocket source code. Rotation will be broken without flashing a rotation fix .zip.
nvm...

The source code has the relevant bits for T989, so should be fine...So you should NOT need a rotation fix, since I built this with T989 turned on. I will check if the T989 sources have any differences..

Im using Embryo 6.10 for T989 and just flashed this 3.5 kernel. The vibration is as strong but the rotation was inverted.

- I did disable the t989d simultaneous build.
Please install and let me know how it works.

Excuse for the off topic!
Edit:
Just for the compile of AOKP, nothing in more!!!
Thanks!

Yeah i guess it's a very reduce apns-conf.xml with only T-Mobile stuffs?
It's often the case on aokp builds,if not wanting or usually needing to set apn's you can flash cm10.1 list and then go to settings>access point names>reset to defaullt.

Why choose for CarbonRom?
CarbonRom is an AOSP based rom, which is always compiled with the latest linaro toolchain. The kernel also is compiled with -O3 optimizations for better performance. It also gives you a great option of customization. Reasons to go for CarbonRom are:
- Compiled with Linaro, this will make your phone ultrafast and ultrasmooth
- AOSP based, s no bloatware or other stuff
- Great Customization options
- Nice look
- HALO
- ...
Current Version
CarbonRom 2.0 is still in early stages, it's Android 4.3, but not all features are implemented!
I won't manually search for all new features, just wait for an official 2.0 changelog when it is completed.
- Android 4.3
- HALO
- DSP Manager
- New battery icons
- stability and speed enhancements
- a million other little things as well - we basically don't even sleep anymore.
What is CarbonRom?
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, @FXP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

I'll continue building nightlies as much as possible.
Support
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question here. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
Who is the Carbon maintainer for your device?
For you guys, Xperia developer is me only, Krabappel2548. I'm the only one working for Xperia devices, maybe I'll add more devices to my support list soon. Any donations are highly appreciated, I'll always use them for my development, to buy new devices

Thanks to your help we now have the machines we need for nightlies. We couldn't have done it without you! Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

== Kernel FAQ - GPU OC - Voltage Control - Sound Control==
GPU OC
OVERCLOCKING GPU WILL REDUCE BATTERY LIFE!
you can overclock/underclock GPU manually via scripts/commands...
[ how to do this manually/script ]
To check current max clock of GPU clock use:
Code:
cat /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/max_gpuclk
To set GPU to particular frequency (overclock or underclock) use:
Code:
echo 533333000 > /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/max_gpuclk
available scaling frequencies are:
Code:
[LIST]
[*]600000000 - 600 MHz
[*]533333000 - 533 MHz
[*]450000000 - 450 MHz (DEFAULT)
[*]320000000 - 320 MHz
[*]200000000 - 200 MHz
[/LIST]
Voltage Control
All credits for this interface go to Faux123!
WARNING!
DO NOT USE TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW VOLTAGES, SLOWLY increase the voltage one notch at a time for a particular frequency and do stability/testing for few hours. once you have verified that you CPU chip can handle that voltage ONLY then "Set at boot"/Use init.d script
You can either use an APP (like IncrediControl) [others mentioned in OP] or use an init.d script to do the work...
to see current voltage table use:
Code:
[B]cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
to set voltage for a particular frequency:
Code:
[B]echo 1512000 1150000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
will set 1512Mhz freq voltage at 1150mV
to reduce voltages for ALL frequencies:
Code:
[B]echo -25000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
to increase voltages for ALL frequencies:
Code:
[B]echo +25000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
Sound Control
Kernel level Sound Control
This feature has been added by faux123 himself!
The sources for this feature are covered under GPL and are released along with my kernel sources at my GITHUB repo.
[ WARNING ]
high volume can damage hearing!
Krabappel2548, DooMLoRD or faux123 are not to be held responsible if this damages ur headphones/speakers/etc
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
There are two ways to use this interface.
manual control through sysfs interface
paid app (FauxSound Audio/Sound Control)
How to use the app FauxSound Audio/Sound Control is pretty self explanatory so I will write on how to control using the sysfs interface...
BEFORE DOING ANY ADJUSTMENTS EXIT THE APPS LIKE MUSIC PLAYER/etc!!
The interface to control the sound output is located at:
Code:
[B]/sys/kernel/sound_control_3[/B]
it has 4 control interfaces:
Camera MIC
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_cam_mic_gain
Headphone
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_headphone_gain
MIC
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_mic_gain
Internal Speaker
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_speaker_gain
each supports gain levels from 20 (-20) to 50 (+10), base is 40 (0)
(the number in the brackets correspond to the numbers displayed in the app)
say if u want to boost headphone output (both left and right channels) then use the following command:
Code:
echo "44 44" > /sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_headphone_gain
u can also individually increase/decrease the gain for each right and left channel
similarly other interfaces can be controlled
TIP:
do not jump to maximum values as sometimes the headphones/speakers might start distorting the audio... slowly increase and do testing for the levels which suit you!
not all accessories will work well with boosted audio output
All of this wouldn't be possible without @Kali- and @Bin4ry helping with stuff and setting up device tree etc
Also big thx to @DooMLoRD for some of his kernel commits to tweak the CM kernel

These ROMs are of course unofficial both in the eyes of the CM team and myself. Only builds linked to in the the OP are going to be supported by me. But if all goes well the unofficial nightlies should run just the same. just updated. Check below for link.
Dec-24
* Merged with CM as of time of compile
* Kernel updated to Linux 3.4.75
* Cherry-picked commit to enable more mobile network selection options

* New cm boot animation
* All the camera stuff from cm-10.2 has been merged back in (ZSL support etc)

I've had the camera problem on one of the nightlies a couple of days ago. Also I've experienced a random reboot problem when just normally using my phone. I also noticed that when I play a video like on YouTube sometimes it'll make this loud weird noise.

camera is broken on download in first post and latest nightly 0515
my phone just stays black for 30 sec and the reboots
hoping for a fix
after flashing rom shown in op, i restored my back up ( i have 2 separate ones i tried) and apps that use memory dont work like snapchat whisper and problems moving anything to or from the computer and phone
internet has screwed up as well i believe but i need to check that out to be sure
ive even done all the wipes and super wipe tp try and fix it
mhl/hdmi does not work right?
Well... I had CM10 from AlbinoMan on my Sensation and loved it, thought I would try this out. I saw some people with issues with their camera on newer nightlies, so I flashed the last used by the dev. No go, the camera doesn't work on this version either and my phone has cycled twice and completely just locked up in the first 5 minutes on the ROM. It took me a while trying to figure out what ROM to choose, is this one still active? I'd really like to try to get the camera working rather than switching right away. Anyone have any fixes for it? I'm going to try a few other nightlies, but it doesn't sound like its been fixed.
Edit: Tried a few other nightlies and none of them were stable, so I went to the official CM11. If this ends up getting updated/fixed I'll check it out then. :/
I see there is a new build up I might have to give it a try..
