[MOD/PORT] CRT-ON to galaxy SII

Hi world
i could port the CTR-ON to SGSII,
actually it is different from the source i got , but with some modification and addition it works 100% on SGSII
so first of all thnx to [email protected] for the source
for the ppl who don't know what is the difference between CRT On & Off, it is the same beam that u got on off-screen , but this time u will have it once u on the screen too.
it is different from JKAY mod
this one is built in in the system
now , i made this one compatible with 2.3.6 ROMs, but it should also works with 2.3.5 (NOT TESTED YET)
also I added the needed modification for those who like BLN for SMS, so IT will work also with them
all what u need is to move my file to system/framework, and reboot
it should works fine
note that this mod is only for DEODEXED ROMs
and last,, DON'T 4get to hit thanks button

hey man thx for u ur great mod first of all proud to find an arabian wit such talent and sec can u make a mod for 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 espcially kk5 that includes both on and off crt without pixel and make thier install easy just install through recovery thx and plz try another mirror cuz the onee u privided is delted thx

if u can't understand this is normal and can be happen to anyone
but if u can't read so this is a disaster
If u read the OP again with ur eyes then u will know that this mod is different from jkay !

Does this actually do the full effect or only shows the last image like jkay?

i don't know about jkay but this will get u exactly the negative of crt-off
edit: i.e the full effect ,, i port from HTC

Dont understand what you mean by built into the system. But mine is also built into the system. I actually did not add anything I just enabled something that was already in the system.
But I will take a look... Hope that you fixed the crt effect.

well, UR modding is like creating a new way to handle the whole system which is intelligent
u didn't release source to know how to handle it
but as (user) it is as like as 3rd party application
in here it is in the system core
i hope u got my idea

Nope its not working. Im running Gingermod 0.7 and thats got Jkays mods already built into it, which i suspect is the problem.
I pushed your service.jar file to system/framework, got a message asking to replace, clicked yes, disabled CRT on off in Jkay mod and rebooted.

Again i gotta say iam tottaly proud that an arabian like me is such a great dev the rocks thx allot man wish id become a great dev like u one day

[MOD] Lockscreen flashlight (ICS)

Thanks to Sbrissen for his work and sharing sources.
See here for his Poolparty ROM.
Also thanks to MIUI Team for torch on lockscreen.

With this mod you can turn flashlight on, by pressing home-button while in lockscreen. Attached sources for devs. Those are for LP4 ROM.
CWM flashable zip for deodexed lp4/lp3 in this post. See links for other firmwares. That zip also contains 4-Way reboot in power menu and ICS-lockscreen.
Update 7/4/12
Now that flashable zip for lp4 dosen't affect to your themes at anykind it only contains changes in android.policy.jar
Backup before flashing.

I made CWM flashable zip on top of Wanam's LP4 rom files. It should work other lp4/lp3 rom's also. That zip also contains 4-Way reboot in power menu. Backup before flashing.

I am not sure if this mod needs certain system files that will differ from aosp and Sammy source

Not sure.. sbrissen made this to aosp for fascinate, but cant tell for sure without seeing cm files.

That rom has lp4 version also, so in that it should work. Just remember that this contains framework-res.apk so it will make your theme to stock look after flash.

Please note that I had the ICS lock screen and ... no problems
Just observed that the myhome application (start application by double click of home button) does not work anymore after installing this

Can u make one without the 4 way boot cuz now o lost my 4 wayboot...

First zip is sources for devs like it says... its not flashable zip.
Only change in framework-res is that i added image when torch is on. I guess that there can be used like background wallpaper id instead. Then
it will only affect android.policy.jar.
So yes, it can be made.

This is compatible with that. It seems thought that if you launch apk from lockscreen with that myhome, then it flashs the led, so maybe i add wait for that voicetalk command. I look that when i have time.

Is possible to implement a option to change what application is launched when press home button? For example camera.

Yes, but that will need new apk. I suck at making apk. That myhome does exactly that, so look into that one. Also jkays apk have that kind of options.

USAGE :
I’m using this pack on latest Omega V38 with Siyah Kernel 1.8.9 and all ressources are working well.
This mod has been made by collecting and modifying apk and ressources grabbed on different thread. (All credit goes to developpers)
I’ m using it since two day and i do not encountered any problem so it should work for all (all files where extracted from my phone).
How to use :
Download on your SD
Reboot in recovery
Make your backup !

Ok. I tried only the "android.policy.jar" and "services.jar" from the zip because I don't want to loose the other customizations (I'm on FoxHound v1.8). The result is that I gain the CRT-OFF effect and the torch but I lost the ink effect. Do you know how can I fix this?

I' ve tested on ZSEMA1 , XXEMA1 apparently has no difference...
If you are on another version please make a test , take 5 min to make your backup and test my pack it' ll help

I have the option in the lockscreen menu but there its no ink on the screen; only the water effect.

Pretty sure that come from framework
If u want try a backup in recovery and flash my full pack and look what is going on
If no good result just recover ure backup
That will take 20 min max of ure time (rollbackup included) :highfive:

I flashed your Mod over the crDroid Rom. Thank you. It works very good. Just one question. How can i make it that if i go on messages that my handsend app opens and not the stock sms ?

Humm in handcent did you define it app by default for sms&mms ?
Perhaps if not working u can try to freeze stock sms app with titanium to force using handcent

[MOD] Transparent Framework XWLS8 - Works on Omega 19.2

Hi,
For those who wants something different, i present here, the modded framework (transparent) from the new JB XWLS8.
Credits goes to Rocky183ya for it's styles.xml, please thanks him too...thanks a lot my friend! :good:
I'm using in Omega rom 19.2....(thanks Indie), so far so good..
On other roms with mods on framework you'll loose it...
Copy file to your phone and just flash it in CWM....

This mod is only for deodexed roms...it should work on any deodexed rom.

i have the same probleme (bootloop) with omega 19.2....full transparent theme is possible please (as vk 6.4 or turkbey roms)?

I did not have any 4.2.2 rom to cross check the pngs names
You can try it on 4.2.2 and report me if it works..no harm

Hi balliboxer, I´m using your 4.1.2 rom for Galaxy Grand Duos i9082L but i´m in trouble with external2internal...
In fact I dont want to use this feature but i think they already mess up with my partitions, can you send me some link or topic showing how I can disable or revert it to original state ?

Sorry man. XDA forums is very selective and i can´t allow me to communicate openly on forums I need (i9082 for example I tried.) And luckily I found balliboxer on this thread, and is not available on other channels (facebook page for him is down for example).
If you have access to, you can remove my messages to avoid messing on the forums, I apologize for this.
By instance, I already use some of your solutions (CWM touch, I think...) , and thank you for helping newcomers, like me.

hi bro,
i have go through your themes pngs. Its really great theme.
Just want to ask that i didnt found any pngs for 2nd sim card network.
Also in screenshots, only sim 1 is shown.
So sim2 network bars are themed or not ??
Will they be changes or be same as they are now ???

There are small small things that needs to be added also 4.2.2 support too Thats why WIP

yup i will change the sim2 bars; it is not shown because i use only one sim ...i will update the theme soon
and also add some more clean UI like different popups and all !!
