[MOD/PORT] CRT-ON to galaxy SII

Hi world
i could port the CTR-ON to SGSII,
actually it is different from the source i got , but with some modification and addition it works 100% on SGSII
so first of all thnx to [email protected] for the source
for the ppl who don't know what is the difference between CRT On & Off, it is the same beam that u got on off-screen , but this time u will have it once u on the screen too.
it is different from JKAY mod
this one is built in in the system
now , i made this one compatible with 2.3.6 ROMs, but it should also works with 2.3.5 (NOT TESTED YET)
also I added the needed modification for those who like BLN for SMS, so IT will work also with them
all what u need is to move my file to system/framework, and reboot
it should works fine
note that this mod is only for DEODEXED ROMs
and last,, DON'T 4get to hit thanks button

if u can't understand this is normal and can be happen to anyone
but if u can't read so this is a disaster
If u read the OP again with ur eyes then u will know that this mod is different from jkay !

Does this actually do the full effect or only shows the last image like jkay?

i don't know about jkay but this will get u exactly the negative of crt-off
edit: i.e the full effect ,, i port from HTC

Dont understand what you mean by built into the system. But mine is also built into the system. I actually did not add anything I just enabled something that was already in the system.
But I will take a look... Hope that you fixed the crt effect.

well, UR modding is like creating a new way to handle the whole system which is intelligent
u didn't release source to know how to handle it
but as (user) it is as like as 3rd party application
in here it is in the system core
i hope u got my idea

Nope its not working. Im running Gingermod 0.7 and thats got Jkays mods already built into it, which i suspect is the problem.
I pushed your service.jar file to system/framework, got a message asking to replace, clicked yes, disabled CRT on off in Jkay mod and rebooted.

Again i gotta say iam tottaly proud that an arabian like me is such a great dev the rocks thx allot man wish id become a great dev like u one day

I would like to introduce you my black theme. It works only on JW1 roms.
First off all I would like to say thanks to some people:

In my theme i have include:
+Aosp lockscreen
+Extended Power Menu (Reboot,Recovery,Download)
+CRT 'screen off animation'
+ICS animation
+Transparent status bar
+Trasparent dialer
+Non increasing ringtone
+White overscroll effect
+Black/Dark Popup Menu Style
+White progress bar
How to install:
1) Go into recovery and make a backup.
2)Make wipe cache/dalvic cache first.
3)Install the attached __Black theme__ zip.
4)Reboot.
If you want to restore install the Restore_all zip and you are back to stock.

I made also a version without AOSP lockscreen for odex JW1. The installation method is the same. Just install from recovery the __Black theme__ JW1-Odex Glass Lock.zip.
UPDATE 25-1-2012: I port this theme to JVU but only for odex. The only feature missing is the AOSP lockscreen. The other features are the same (i include phone fc fix).
If you want any other mod (fm radio hack, camera hack, crt on etc) go here.
I upload only odex this time because there was problems with jw1 deodex versions.

I have made a deodex edition of my theme. But i havent test it because my base is an odex rom. So, please make a backup first and then test it. I am waiting to tell me if it worked...

FC
I installed on stock JW1 but after rebooting i get a lot of FC. Everything is Force Close,i can't use anything. I did wipe,reboot, retry the installation but still doesnt't work. Anyway it looks great.

What Rom do you have? Did you try to fix permissions?

Stock JW1. I tried fix permissions too.

[MOD][ICS ROMS][XXLP2/XXLP6/XXLPB/XXLPH] CRT animation

So I managed to enable the CRT animation for XXLP2/XXLP6/XXLPB ICS 4.0.3
CREATE A NANDROID BACKUP before trying.. JUST IN-CASE **** HAPPENS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PHONE THAT MIGHT SELFDESTRUCT DUE TO ANY FAULTS!
Made CWM Flashable zips for installing and/or removing the CRT Effect... Just use CWM and flash the zip files. As simple as that.
Should it fail to reboot, just flash the disable zip file. It will revert it and should boot up. If it still fails then restore from a backup
If you have a request, I might be able to help mod CRT effects into other firmware too but i need the framework-res.apk from /system/framework.

Yes it is proper and upright It seems it is fixed somewhere else.. I just simply enabled it

There are a few problems with this, mate:
1 - Icons of the Power menu are back to stock.. We need the ICS ones.
2 - On selection of anything in My Files, we get an orange background instead of a blue one..
Dunno what else problems are there. I couldn't bear the Orange in ICS, so I reflashed the ROM right away..

Yep I can confirm this mate in file manager its orange and the power menu icons definatly change to stock.

ICS Statusbar Layout for LG P350

This is based on Achep's ICS Statusbar layout (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324924)
Works only with Ron's Cyanogenmod 7.2 stable builds. Do not flash with other roms if you don't want to get into a bootloop.
This mod will look better if you are using ICS theme.

note:
In the USB connected screen, there is no "Connect USB" button,so just tap the android to enable sdcard mount to PC.
instructions:
There are two files included in the download, the patch and the undo patch in case you don't like it. Just extract and flash the patch in recovery mode.
If it doesnt work on first try, flash patch, reboot, flash undo, reboot, then flash patch again.

Hey, this is awesome!. But some of us can't use CyanogenMod, like me that I have a Galaxy Ace GT-S5830M. So I was wondering if you could port this to a recovery flash zip for Stock Gingerbread o maybe sharing the SystemUI and Framework-res? I tried to make my own ICS Status bar for my phone and I failed so bad :/

USAGE :
I’m using this pack on latest Omega V38 with Siyah Kernel 1.8.9 and all ressources are working well.
This mod has been made by collecting and modifying apk and ressources grabbed on different thread. (All credit goes to developpers)
I’ m using it since two day and i do not encountered any problem so it should work for all (all files where extracted from my phone).

Reboot in recovery

Torch is directly activated by pressing the home button , so it work on classic and AOSP

Ok. I tried only the "android.policy.jar" and "services.jar" from the zip because I don't want to loose the other customizations (I'm on FoxHound v1.8). The result is that I gain the CRT-OFF effect and the torch but I lost the ink effect. Do you know how can I fix this?

I' ve tested on ZSEMA1 , XXEMA1 apparently has no difference...
If you are on another version please make a test , take 5 min to make your backup and test my pack it' ll help

I have the option in the lockscreen menu but there its no ink on the screen; only the water effect.

Pretty sure that come from framework
If u want try a backup in recovery and flash my full pack and look what is going on
If no good result just recover ure backup
That will take 20 min max of ure time (rollbackup included) :highfive:

I flashed your Mod over the crDroid Rom. Thank you. It works very good. Just one question. How can i make it that if i go on messages that my handsend app opens and not the stock sms ?

Humm in handcent did you define it app by default for sms&mms ?
Perhaps if not working u can try to freeze stock sms app with titanium to force using handcent

I flashed your Mod over the crDroid Rom. Thank you. It works very good. Just one question. How can i make it that if i go on messages that my handsend app opens and not the stock sms ?
