Hey All,
Houstonn and I have been working on a stock release of JB that can be flashed through CWM or TWRP but we decided to throw a taste of the Sony Xperia Z into it. The ROM runs fast, smooth and looks fantastic. This build supports the Canadian variations of the Optimus G and the AT&T variation for the US with external SD support. As the title states, this ROM is clean of most carrier and OEM specific applications, however; there will be a few more to come out in subsequent updates! Please follow below for further details and updates!

Re: [ROM]StockJB with a taste of Xperia Z {Rooted+Debloat+Extras}[FLASHABLE]
I have been running custom Roms from day one. I decided to installed the official jb update to see how it felt. I then decided I wanted to go back to a custom Rom. I kdzed to stock ics rooted and freegeed. Everytime I ran feegee then rebooted the LG logo would flash on the display and the phone would freeze. With having installed the official jb update do you think it may have modified some firmware that would affect freegee. I did notice something unusual. When the phone reboots after running freegee it starts to boot then quickly shuts of and starts again. This is the first time I have seen this glitch.

I would suggest you see Shelnutt2 on irc he will help you with that.. you might need a new clean misc partition.. and he has that. I've provided him with an E973 misc and he has made sure it's been cleaned up so that you shouldn't have those problems.. it's either that or you might need his other freegee unlock for special phones.. I would contact him as he would have all the info you would need.
Great idea for a rom.
And with houstonn being invloved, it's got to be great!!

You can try to PM him but quickest would be IRC - http://webchat.freenode.net/ the channel is #lg-optimus-g
Shorelinedroid is working on aroma script where you'll have the options to choose what you would prefer to install as well as kernel so that E975 should have working camera..
Until that is done.. I'll make a flashable zip for att users to flash for their apn and their build.prop and fastdormancy has already been applied into the rom for the att settings. i'll add whatever extra if I can think of.
Looks like a nice rom. Will give it a try. Great to see more roms for this great phone. Thanks ShorelineDroid and houstonn
I have ICS, using houstons debloated ICS rom, freegeed and unlocked. Installing this rom overtop now.
I have stuck with ICS because all of the JB ports have had a network routing bug which prevented me from creating a hotspot. There was an obscure bug that affected the routing for rare customers like me that do not have a regular data plan, only UMB (web browsing only).
Will I need to flash the JB modem firmware after?

You can definitely flash the updated JB modem specific to your carrier after flashing this ROM. Take a look to the second post on this thread for a link to stock JB modem's from Houstonn

hey gunnyman.. you'll have to use the proper apn-conf file I sent to shorelinedroid. it flashes the proper build.prop plus proper apn for att users. I've also compiled a new stock jb kernel and sent to him.. but for now.. here's the zip.. it'll flash all 3 kernel + apn + build.prop

I'll have wallpapers coming in the first update - both LG and Xperia!!
I flashed the rom successfully on my E971 Rogers. Worked great out of the box except I had to add my APN, speakout.
I am able to tether to my speakout UMB data
I did not flash the modem, would there be any benefit for doing that or is it something I will need to do manually in the future anyways?
One very cool thing happened after I flashed the rom, I was able to get data from somewhere new, I think it was from Rogers. Odd, because I do not have a Rogers sim, I use speakout which piggybacks on the Rogers network. I went up from 5mbs on speakout to 10mbs on Rogers! However, I was not able to tether so the Rogers data wasnt useful for me.
After flashing this rom over ICS stock, I cannot get into recovery mode anymore. Just fastboot.
UPDATE: You can get into fastboot by installing the free version on Rom Manager, it has an option for booting to recovery
Just flashed it. Is it just me, or did anyone else see a battery life improvement over the Korean Leak?
Question: I see in the screenshots that you have the Sony messaging app. The ROM doesn't have the stock LG or Sony Messaging when I installed it, do you plan on integrating any other messaging app than the stock messaging? The one that the ROM comes with doesn't have any popup notification, so I was hoping you would put another one in.

I think that is the icon pack, not the sony messaging app. That being sad you can install the CM10 one probably.

So I installed the jailbreak a few months back and have been waiting eagerly for a ROM and searching around... but from what I have read, the sch-i925 version note 10.1 doesn't have the same partitions as other 10.1's, so I haven't found a ROM for it.
What confuses me is that people seem to be returning back to stock... and in the first line of the instructions of this ROM I find:

So... what other ROM?? How did I miss that?
I'm super happy that I finally find a ROM for this tablet, but why now a few day's after the first post of this great news... why I'm the first posting here?? Nobody else jumping out of their seats in joy??
Also, I'm curious... does the CM include phone capabilities? I'm in Iceland and the Icelandic version of this tablet is basically just a very large phone, I'm hoping this ROM will get me there since now I cant even use the mobile networks at all because I have no Verizon SIM and even if I did - it would be ridiculously expensive
I'm looking forward to testing this out, will post my results

Do you mean it includes the phone app, but somehow is still limited to Verizon?? If its a new ROM, why is it still locked to a certain carrier??
So I was about to install CWM when I got into trouble connecting detecting the tablet with both heimdall and odin. Adb detects the device... perhaps a driver issue because of ADB... perhaps it doesnt matter
I booted into recovery only to find the TWRP that I haven't used yet, it came when I installed adams jailbreak. Im not familiar with TWRP but it looks pretty good. Do I need to install CWM or is TWRP good enough??
*edit: No problem connecting to ODIN on a different computer, so now I can install CWM if needed.
Could you let me know if I can use the TWRP recovery instead of the CWM?
Also, did you mean that this ROM is locked to Verizon mobile network?

I believe this rom is specifically for the verizon version of the n8020. There is a port for the international version.

I also believe that this rom is specifically for the verizon version of the n8020 (the sch-i925). I have the Verizon SCH-i925 Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is a LTE version. So this rom should fit pretty well I dont believe I can use the n8020 ROM's because of some different partitions from what I have read.
Can I install this rom with TWRP recovery or is CWM a prerequisite?
I didn't quite understand your reply, even if the Rom is designed specifically for this tablet, that does not mean it is still locked to the network provider. Is it still locked?
Thanks again, cant wait to try it

cwm is just recommended for official cm builds but twrp should work. and no its not locked onto verizon it is just designed for it. moving it to another carrier would require slight modification

So the install went great - No problems with TWRP, ROM or Gapps... smooth sailing!
The only changes to the tablet prior to this install was following Adams guide on how to unlock the bootloader. I also had not installed any updates from Verizon.
The ROM I installed was the cm-10.2-20130904-NIGHTLY-i925.
I also didn't install CWM, the TWRP that i got from unlocking the bootloader worked just fine.
Here is the bug list:
The Bug List:
1. GPS is working just fine.
2. I haven't tried the BT voice search.
3. 5ghz WIFI not working - I also needed to reboot to get 2.4ghz working again
4. No graphical issues yet, I test played raging thunder racing game and no problems there at least.
Other Bugs:
Camera:
No camera app found. I installed Nexus camera from market but it gave an error: "Can't connect to the camera". Also, my flashlight app can not use the camera flash.
I noticed that in folder /root/sys/class/camera/ there is only two documents "front" and "rear" which are both empty 0.00B files. Was looking for the cause, perhaps this helps?
Mobile network *Edit: Not a problem anymore:
In order to search for networks, the APN needs to be configured first! I am using my normal phone Icelandic SIM now and can use 3G in here in Iceland, send texts and after downloading a dialer I can now make phone calls also
Besides that, the OS is working great... 4.3 is pretty cool Its a real bust that the camera isn't working, I hope that gets fixed since its the only downside of this upgrade.
I'll keep a watch on this forum, so let me know if I can send you any info about my install. I'll also keep an eye on the upgrades and report if my problems get solved
Thanks for this ROM

Good question, I'm glad I downloaded all of them, I suspected they might only have space for 5 there! Just wait a second, I'll google this for you.
Sorry for the wait, it was only a minute though... but I found this for you:
http://goo.im/devs/cm/i925/nightly
I guess I didn't need to download all of them after all. By the way, September 2 worked better than September 1 so Im using that now.
Im going to check the 8th of sept ROM tonight... perhaps its all fixed there, will report
I've got the latest 9/9 nightly flashed on my i925 and don't see an option to add APN's nor make calls.
Can I just download any Dialer from the market and calling will work?
My intention is to test it with the AT&T $35 month prepaid plan, but I hear already that supposedly Medianet Internet doesn't work.
If that doesn't pan out, I'm going to be trying a Staight Talk AT&T sim.
*EDIT* I downloaded Dialer One and that seems to work
@Snarlster, how did you edit the APN for data?
TBH I think so far the features of stock are more rich

You need to create an APN in "Access Point Names". (press + sign at top right)
You should only needed to set the Name (You create name) + APN (supplied by provider), here in Iceland they provide this information on their webpage.. can be fine to add more settings but this is the minimum (at least here).
*remember to save, I missed it at least the first time but you got to press the 3 dots in top right and press save.
After that, search for networks, if error then restart and search for networks again.

T999 4.3 Leak OFFICIAL
Build UVUEMJC
Well, as most of you by know have realized, the Official 4.3 has been released! As it turns out, I was correct that the Leak#2 was to become our official build! What this means is that the Roms built from the leak and the Roms built from stock will essentially be identical. I have decided to build one from the official since I know most of you would prefer it that way anyway. I will keep the leaked versions posted for now as well, in case anyone wants to use them. Should you use one over the other? I doubt it. Ill say to use the rom built from official source though, simply because it is official.
Some of you will have already updated by flashing the official firmware via Odin, or by receiving the OTA update. Some will have been lucky enough to come in later and found it not to be the best idea to update yet. Because of this I will be including instructions for each situation. It may seem a little confusing at first, but just take it at face value and don't try to read extra into it and you should do fine!
WARNING!!!
If you have NOT updated via the official firmware or OTA update, it is highly recommended that you do NOT do so at this time!
You can still run these roms and gain every advantage, with none of the problems!
Instead of flashing the full firmware or OTA, I recommend flashing the deodexed, Knox free build of this Rom for now. I believe it should be the perfect replacement for the official update if you just want to run stock rooted. It has been proven to run smooth, fast and stable! Many have reported it to be the best build to date for our S3, and personally, I agree!
Alternatively, please check out @saranhai's Rom, .::StockMOD ROM::. | TouchWiz 4.3 | Stock & Slim Versions | UVUEMJC as well. It uses mine as a base, but is a bit more customized.

Installation
If you have already updated via OTA or Odin flashing the official firmware:
Flash the T999_Official_Deodexed Rom
Flash the slightly older MJ4 modem, IF YOU CHOOSE. This is not necessary though.
Enjoy and report back to me if WiFi and everything seems to be working ok.
If you have NOT updated to the official release yet:
Flash the T999_Official_Deodexed Rom
Flash the MJ2 ATT kernel
Flash your choice of the two modems in the OP.
Enjoy!
Based on the Leaked Build
Please thank @Prod1702 if you see him! Without his willingness, determination, and commitment to XDA, I would not be able to present you with this brand new build! He seriously stuck it through well beyond what I would've ever expected anyone to put up with! Please take a moment to go HERE and hit his Thanks button to show your appreciation! Without him, this rom, And MODEM, would be nonexistent in these forums!!!

Although the previous leak proved to be amazingly stable, and this one appears to be no different, please remember this is after all, still a leaked test build of the 4.3 Touchwiz system! There may be new bugs, new features, better or worse performance, etc, etc.
I do have reason to believe this may in fact become our official build, or if it does not, it is very close to it! I will try to explain more on this and what I expect to see a bit later. But I have been running this build for most of the day, and am seeing similar results as before where battery and stability are concerned!
So with no further ado, here is your latest leaked build of 4.3 Touchwiz! Note, these are complete T-Mobile builds, but I have had to continue using the AT&T insecure kernel due to issues pulling/dumping the one that goes with this build. As before, I have seen absolutely no problems arise from this.
T999_4.3_MJC_PureStock
Dev-Host Mirror
This is 100% the full MJC build (except kernel). I have not removed Knox or anything, and I have left it Odexed. Zero changes! This is more for devs or anyone who wants to dig into how Knox works and is affecting things. Or for those who just want to see what the full stock build is like. Understand that Knox and seLinux do interfere with root. So if you have problems with your root apps, I suggest you try the deodexed, Knox Free, build below. (I will provide a separate secure kernel later for flashing for those who want to set seLinux to enforcing.)
T999_4.3_UVUEMJC_Full_deodexed_KnoxFree
Dev-Host Mirror
This ROM has NOT been debloated. Only Knox, CIQ, and SysScope have been removed. Deodexed, full build.
Installation
If you are currently on a Non-Touchwiz Rom, you will have to Factory Reset
Because this is a Leaked build, I suggest starting clean. Preferably with already up to date MD5 firmware.
If you are not, Please Odin flash the MD5 root66 firmware. (Link to thread in my signature).
Download your choice of ROM, and the MJC (or MJ4) Modem.
Flash in CWM/TWRP Recovery exactly as you would with any other Rom or Modem!
Thats it! Nothing special!

Huge Thanks to @Prod1702 for leaking this build, and for all of his work and effort working with me to get what we need off of the phone!
Thanks is also highly deserved by these guys as well!
@TheLastSidekick, for his friendship, advice and becoming our newest RC!
@saranhai, for being such a cool guy to team up with on this stuff, and for all of his fantastic work and advice!
@loserskater and everyone responsible for the AT&T leaks for beating me to the release of a leak! Because without them ours is not possible!
@stratatak7 for his work on the AT&T kernel, without which we would have NO T-Mobile leaked roms!
@upndwn4par also for his work on the AT&T kernel, without which we would have NO T-Mobile leaked roms!
And a big Thanks to all of the members who have taken the time to try out this and all of Team Inferno's roms and report on your results!!!

CHANGELOG
This is a copy/paste of the changelog as listed at SamMobile.com for the I9300 update. Most likely, we will see the same features and improvements, but this is by no means guaranteed. Also, and once again, I remind you that what we have are LEAKED test builds. They may not be complete, so if something is not in the leak, it does not mean it will or will not be in the official release!
- GALAXY GEAR Support
- TRIM Support (Makes the device much faster)
- ANT+ Support
- Core UI elements updated to the ones on the Galaxy S4 (Galaxy S4′s theme all over)
- New Samsung Keyboard
- GPU drivers have been updated (Higher GPU benchmark scores)
- New Lockscreen: Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message
- New Screen modes (From S4): Adapt Display and Professional Photo
- Daydream
- Driving mode
- Actionable notifications
- Move-to-SD-card feature
- New Camera mode : Sound and Shot
- New Additions in Notification Centre
- Completely revamped Settings UI (Tabbed interface – Exactly like the Galaxy S4)
- Implementation of Voice controls (Let’s you control various parts of the phone using voice commands – Galaxy S4 feature)
- New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music
- Full screen Samsung apps
- New S-Voice (from Galaxy S4)
Known Bugs/Issues
Virtually nothing unexpected! You tell me what you find!
We have had only a few reports of the following:
Problems with dropped calls
Reboots/bootloops
Losing Root
Note: It appears that ALL 4.3 releases have now been delayed due to many problems with the I9300 rollout. Just about everything reported that led to this on the I9300 has not been observed with ours. Hopefully they won't delay ours much longer since it appears it is a very stable build for our models! No one has got the update as scheduled, so I don't expect us to either.
This leak is primarily for the T999 ONLY. You can flash to a T999L/N/V, but will have no mobile data connection.
Most who are not on a T-Mobile network have reported issues with the SIM card not being detected. (Needs Re-Verification)
You MUST flash the UVUEMJ4 Modem/Baseband. No others will work at this time. (Needs Re-Verification)
I suspect that some of the more random issues may be due to older firmware.
I recommend flashing the UVDMD5 firmware if you haven't already done so. Update via Recovery. Update via Odin.
Knox may prevent some root apps from keeping persistent root privledges.
If using a secure kernel, seLinux is set to "enforcing" and side by side with Knox, will make life Hell!!!
Suffers from the profile folder problems. /0/0/0/0/0/0/0/0 Every time you flash a 4.3 build, it will create a new /0 folder abovethe current one and will use this location by default. Manually copy /data/media/ to /data/media/0 after every flash.
Remember this is a NEW leak/build. If you experience a problem you had on the last one, please report again.
Let me know if I have left anything out or if you find anything not yet mentioned.
A note about reporting bugs
If you dirty flashed (did not factory reset), or if you have applied any mods, please do not report bugs. Reflash clean and test first. If you discover a bug caused by a mod, please let us know, but flash clean so you can be sure if it is the Rom, the mod, or something else entirely.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I flash this to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
Well, sort of. You can flash it if you want to see what 4.3 will be like. But without a 4.3 modem for your specific device model you will not have any Mobile Data connection at all.
Can I flash the MJ4/MJC Modem to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
In short......NO!
Will the MJ4/MJC Modem work on older ROMs/Firmware? e.g. 4.1.2 based Rom with MJ4 Modem.
YES! But ONLY if you have the T999!
Why do I get a notification that root access has been blocked?
Welcome to Fort KNOX! If this is a problem you cannot live with, either remove Knox from the Odexed build, or just flash the deodexed ROM. If you are running a ROM which has seLinux enforcing (secure kernel) and Knox installed....well....have fun!? This combination is a PITA to deal with and will prevent nearly all apps attempts at root access! I do NOT recommend this configuration!!!
I just flashed X ROM and now all of the data on internal sdcard is gone! What happened to my data?!?!?
Don't Panic! It did NOT delete any data! The ROM created a new /0 (zero) folder and by default connects to this as the root of your internal sdcard. You need to copy your data from /data/media to /data/media/0/. You will find all of your files are still intact, they just were not being seen because of the messed up folder structure.

Keep in mind that my battery is over a year and a half old! But this is 19-20 hours on battery, using 5.5 hours of screen on time (a good bit was set at fairly high brightness), and as usual, using TapaTalk which isnt really the most gentle app when it comes to battery use!
Conclusions So Far
As it was with our first leaked build, the rom itself seems to be surprisingly excellent on battery! The Day 1 battery once again helps to showcase the ROM's battery use, on its own (plus Tapatalk). So if you were to flash it and make good use of Settings, you should see similar results. I find it very reassuring to see how consistent the battery cycles have been so far!

T999_4.3_MJC_Docs_deodexed3.zip
This is the ROM I was personally using before I bricked my device. It does not have any major modifications, just some, perhaps interesting debloating. I was not totally finished with it, but thought I would share in case anyone else wanted something like it. Basically, I was removing things I do not use, but that could potentially be running in the background, using resources and battery. A couple of examples of this would be Googles Backup Transport service, Contacts and Calendar sync, Accuweather, NameID, etc, etc, etc. I will try to post a full list later. I know much of this could be debated, but it seemed to be just as stable as before, and everything I made use of still worked.
Its kind of a different take on the debloating of a rom.

Note: I am not giving credit on most of these simply because many can be found all over the place! I have been collecting them myself for a while now, just for my own use, and the ones I did not discover on my own, I cannot remember where I originally saw. If this is a problem, or you feel you deserve credit for a particular discovery, please let me know and I will be happy to work it out with you. These are very easy for anyone to find on their own though. I have quite a few more that I might post at another time.
I do want to give credit to @evil1art for finding the easy way to add the extra Quick Panel toggles.
Very nice. Thank you for your contribution.
Thank you Doc for your great work

I Love This Stuff! And I am just happy that I got the opportunity to be the one of the ones to work on it!
Couple things real quick. This has so far been great for my own use, but I have not done much to stress it. Been mostly trying for a good baseline Day 1 battery report like I did for the first leak. So far it seems to be right on par with it.
I will get to updating posts 2-5 with more information later on. I will check back periodically to make sure nothing catastrophic happens, but aside from that I'm planning to spend some time with my daughter before bedtime since I get to have her an extra day for the holiday weekend! Once she's asleep Ill get back to work on the fun stuff!
Hope you guys enjoy it! And I hope you don't mind me keeping the leaks in separate threads. I felt it best for different builds since there will likely be different bugs and all. Just less confusing IMO. Ill note each OP of the existence of the other to make it easy to reference.
For now, have fun guys! And Thank You all for your patience!!! :good:
Thanks Doc. For all your time bringing all the new leaks. Will try this one as soon as its download.

Awesome work doc! Downloading it now to get it loaded up. MJ4 has been giving me steady battery life off charger for 11 he's and 1 hour screen on still at 80% so pretty happy about that.
Dirty flashed this over the previous leak. So far everything works great.

Nice work Doc!!
Thanks to you all for your kind words! I hope this one turns out as good as the last at a minimum, though I am cautiously tempted to say I think but is a bit better. Can't quite put my finger on it, and it may be placebo, but it does feel a bit better to me.
And for those interested, I believe the keyboard is fixed. Been trying for a while now to get it to bug out, but it hasn't yet. Bout to switch though. I just don't care much for it personally.

i have a question did we just receive a new modem?
is T999_4.3_UVUEMJC_Modem the latest one? the reason i am asking is because i have T999_4.3_UVUEMJ4_Modem (copied those from the first post) and i would like to have the newest one. =D

FIRST!
This ROM looks awesome! Gonna take it for a test run and report back to you!
Looks pretty good!! Will test run this and report again later
Thanks! and if you want, take some screenies! I did run into a problem with contacts in which I fixed by clearing the cache of the contacts application! Don't know what happened but I will try to fix it in the later updates!
So, i actually ran into some problem when trying to flash the ROM. I got the "format() expects 5 args, got 3" error (status 7 error). I know this is not your ROM's problem because i also get this error before too when flashing stock ROM. But any chance that you know what is causing this? I previously use CM11.
I edited update-script to match 5 args but it gave me another error "set_perm some changes failed".
However, I am still able to boot by flashing a stock 4.3 ROM and then flash your ROM, and now i am playing with your ROM seems pretty smooth to me, and the contact does force closed when i opened it, and it still force closed even after i clear cache
Do this should work on d2vzw?

Yes but for the love of God don't flash a radio for any other carrier
Also add your apn as needed!

Really not a fan of touchwiz but something about this rom might change that. it' seems smooth a fluid and love the S5 theme to it. Probably will be my new daily driver. As for the contacts it did FC on my first few attempts but after going into recovery with the latest TWRP and going into wipe/advanced cleared both catch and davilk cache and the problem seems to be resolved now. :victory:

So glad to hear that! Thank you for the feedback! and I'm going to try fixing that issue with the Contacts. I also love how quick the launcher is. However, now I've found the full deodexed package of the S V Rom, there may be more in the near future, but for now I still think its great

I know its probably a long stretch but do you think the S3 could get that new S5 feature "Download Booster" which pretty much combines your mobile data and wifi to speed up downloads.

Awesome! I though I recognized you from somewhere then it came back to me, you did the Google Play Edition Rom a few months back. You done with that Rom or waiting on a 4.4.3 release?

It's still coming. The 4.3.1 release I'm waiting on a stable 4.4.. The camera seems to always have problems after the third or so closing.. But yeah Ijust need to resync my repos. It's just hard keeping it completely stock because the SIII actually needs some extra settings
I've been running this rom for the past few hours and I must say I am very impressed. One issue is in regards to the accuweather widget. Its very small and the time is in the wrong position. Every time I attepmt to change it with another wkdget, the rom will boot and hang on the lockscreen, not even allowing me to unlock the phone. Could you look into a proper widget that matches the S5 theme please? Apart from that, I look forward to using this as my daily driver
leet see how it works thanks...

Galaxy S III (US Variant) S V ROM
I am porting this rom, and so far all is great, but I may need some help if anyone is willing.
All works as of right now, if any bugs please post/PM me!
My internet isn't the fastest for uploading, so if anyone else wants to help build/upload that'd be awesome!
So Far working - Everything on the rom.
Toolbox feature is not included in this version. Hopefully later on..
I'm not the best at building ROMS neither, so if anyone wants to take it on from here, Send me a message! because I really want this ROM to evolve!
This ROM IS built from STOCK 4.3 you will at least need a 4.3 Modem.

P.S. The First Screenshot is if you install Yahoo Weather (Which I like), but feel welcome to keep the Accuweather widget that's on there!

I just downloaded this ROM. It's only around 600 MB big -- seems small for stock touchwiz. My installation failed (did the usual wipes -- dalvik, cache, etc). Did I goof somewhere or should I just wait a for a stable build?
Update Posted September 26 2014:
Numerous fixes and additions:
Added Slimbean Extras including Email, Exchange2, Launcher2, Music2 and VideoEditor
Camera delay is positively fixed - absoultely no delay
Removed FM radio which does not work
Instructions:
I always prefer fresh install.
You may try, if you wish and if you already have the previous version, to flash this on top;
If you are doing fresh install, see original instructions (full wipe).
P.S. When you boot for the first time, you will get:
1. Notificaiton that email app stopped (disregard it, the app will work without any further messages)
2. Notification that SU binary should be updated: follow instructions
Regarding bootloops: Do a fresh install, which is always preferred. Also, remember, custom roms based on Cyanogen want all system apps signed by the same key. If you have SU or any other app that you installed in the system (and then flash update on top) that means that those apps are signed by different keys, which would result in a bootloop during subsequent updates. Do research and learn about not messing with system apps. Neither SU nor any other app needs to be installed in system. Also, the same applies if you decompile and mess with a system app - once you re-compile the app, you'll have to sign it and your key is different, which again means bootloop.
Also remember that this rom is designed to work with Stock JB 4.1.2 kernel only. If you have an unlocked bootloader and custom kernel, you will get bootloop and/or other issues
Before posting this update, I reformatted my phone and did a fresh install: no issues. You know what it means: I don't want to hear about bootloops.
____________________________________________________________________________
Rom checked on my device: boots 100% in about 25 seconds. Just re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Slimbean latest release built from sources on September 6, 2014. This is for IONs with locked bootloaders. This is not Kitkat, it is based on JB 4.1.2, which is ages more stable.
Changes:
1. Open source Launcher Advanced (one of few open launchers)
2. Terminal and FM radio added (were missing in original release by Olivier)
3. Battery/Wifi fixes incorporated in code prior to building
4. Radio menu fixed (now when you dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone, you no longer get F/C)
5. Default network changed to LTE
The phone seems snappier than with the original release, perhaps because the rom was built on Gentoo, which is the best Linux around. But maybe it is just placebo. You decide.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Be rooted, have Recovery and JB 4.1.2 kernel
2. Enter recovery, wipe System/Data/Cache (remember factory reset is not enough)
3. Flash the rom, reboot and let it settle, which shouldn't take long
4. Enjoy and press thank you or perhaps donate...

Thanks for the rom. I just flashed it and rebooted.. the screen is stuck on the slimbean logo for over 10 minutes.. the slimbean logo is flashing normally as if its about to load. You think something went wrong and I should interrupt it?
EDIT: So i interrupted after about 12 minutes by holding power and volume up keys and entered twrp to go back to previous rom. Will try back later.

Sorry to ask again but can we have INLINE/INVOICE CALL RECORDER like the one seen in your honami ROM. I think it was a part of 0.96w fw jellybean 4.1.2. I really need it and so do others too

Rom re-uploaded: works fine
I checked the rom and it boots on my ION fine. Re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Downloading, will try tomorrow after school is out. Thank you Optimum you and your damn roms tempt me as much as i tell myself to stick to stock after CM10 had quite a few issues on my end i guess.
Also on a side note if you need mirrors, I can make two or three.
Can we have kitkat like notification quick settings in this rom ?

I'm not really a picture taker. Post #3 in this thread has a flashable camera. I'm not sure it would work on this rom, but I would flash it and if it didn't work just do a restore from backup.

Does anyone low of how I can get small apps back? Although they're not a deal breaker, I actually used a couple of them and would like them back.

You can try these:

But that would go against AOSP nature of this rom.

Ok, I'm slowly catching on. I switched from iPhone a couple of months ago and had gotten an HTC One which I unlocked the boot loader, did the S-Off and rooted. I run AOKP on that phone and the xperia was a backup to carry when I'm running or cycling. As it turns out, my wife's iPhone is messing up so I've put a sense rom back on the One. She likes getting that feed screen and all. Now the Xperia is my main phone. I guess Honami is the Sony equivalent of proprietary like sense is to HTC.
I've found I like the Sony's and will probably replace the HTC with a Z1 or Z1 compact but I need to do some research as unlocking the boot loader is a requirement. It wasn't so important on the ion due to its purpose, plus I couldn't find an I or H at a reasonable price.
I realize I've gotten wordy and a touch off topic and apologize.
I'll keep my eyes out for a camera and as for the multi tasking, I forgot there's an xposed app that may allow some multi tasking.
I really do appreciate the ROM and am especially grateful to the dev of this rom for making it usable on a locked boot loader.

When this happened to me it was because I didn't know to downgrade the radio to ZV8. Once I did that the ROM booted OK.
CAUTION backup your modem and EFS before you downgrade so you can restore them if you want to go back to a newer stock ROM- EFS might not change but modem for sure. I spent a whole day with "no service" trying to get back to ZVE which has been all round best for me.
Ok after some extensive research I finally got it working with the latest nightly jan 20th. I wiped everything except internal.. Flashed the cm12 then zv8 radio.. Wiped cache and dalvic and it booted fine.. I then proceeded to install the appropriate gapps..

Sooo- I'm no developer but I can tell you what worked for me. We're starting from different working roms and, except maybe for the recovery, can't imagine this matters. I am on stock ZVE, Dorimanx bumped kernel V9.55KK and bumped TWRP 2.8.3.1
1. nandroid backup and modem backup
2. wipe standard wipe and system
3. flash ZV8 radio from here- http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/G2_modems
4. wipe dalvik
5. flash CM nightly (works with 20150120 didn't try older ones)
6. wipe dalvik and reboot
Probably a couple of extra wipes in there but can't hurt. Hope this works for you.
I expect good things from this rom- Shelnutt2 always did a nice things for the Optimus G my last phone.
Thank you
Just wanted to start of saying thanks to @Shelnutt2 for posting up the thread. I'm not sure if you are just going keep the thread up as a place for discussion around the official build for our device OR the CM maintainer that pulled the lucky LS980 number, but either way, thanks!
I came from the December 26th dated alpha build that @Rashed97 did for all the G2 variants and it ran good, few things here and there, but it had been my daily driver since Dec 28th and I've been happy since then. Was apprehensive about flashing the nightly builds because it's usually a regression at first BUT I have to say, so far, so good. My good friend and teammate @thoughtlesskyle and his themes pushed me over the edge, I just had to get the Theme Engine so I could try them on my own device so here I am, on CM12 Official nightly 20150128 and love using the THEMES! :good::good:
All, CM's built in SU control doesn't play nice with Titanium Backup AT ALL (ie, your apps will not restore) so you'll need to either just install SuperSU from the Play Store and update binaries as OR flash it when you flash rom.
Things that did not work in the Unofficial CM12 build that I noticed myself were:
1. No SIM Card warning on lock screen
2. CM Messenger app *send button did not work so app was useless
2a. MMS were not able to be received (not even through Google Messenger app)
3. GPS (well, not like that really worked on stock anyway.....
4. Sometimes system volume would just go to zero requiring reboot to restore
5. VERY hard to get the device to connect to Spark B41 networks (but had SOLID B25/B26 performance)
5a. Mobile networks setting would change on it's on
6. Theme Engine missing
7. Speaker phone didn't work, would turn sound from caller/video chat into very garbled unrecognizable output
8. NFC was SOOOO broken that it required manually deleting the NFC folder from system to keep from 100% wakelock
9. I'm sure other odds and ends but all in all, no show stoppers and I've been quite impressed with the CM12 start for our device
Now, I'm about 1hr fresh on the official build and can confirm that of my list 9 items from unofficial, 2a and 6 are fixed. I'll update as I spend more time with the rom but I'm looking forward to more good things here.
Finding Lollipop for my phone thoroughly made my day. Truly. Thousands of thanks to shel and whomever else got this here.
Flashed 1/28 clean with ZV8 radios via TWRP 2.7.0.0. Way quicker and better-looking and -feeling than stock.
GPS , MMS (with Google Messenger) and speaker work for me.
I've had no trouble with the built-in SU (I dig it), but I restore with ROM Toolbox Pro, not Titanium.
Send button on stock Messaging doesn't work for me either.
It does read "No SIM card - Sprint" on lock screen (as well as during the CM setup process).
Bluetooth works, but texts cannot be read by my car (as they could with stock and most, if not all ROMS on my N5).
Haven't touched NFC. Cheers and thanks again.
If you want the remote from lg, here is the thread for the remote to work on AOSP.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2929146
I've been using it in resurrection ROM for a while now. Since it is from the g3, it has a newer look.
I may come back to cm12, but haven't taken the dive yet.
May wait to see what else Mr Rogers finds. I know cm messenger has been unable to send since the beginning of alphas. Would think they could get that fixed. Also, for a limited data guy, not being able to shut off sprint data has been a issue for me.
Especially since I've heard d802, can shut their off with the toggle.
Looks like using any system profile mutes notifications. Can't get 'em to come back without a reboot.
I'm on the 26th version and just about everything seems to work fine. Sending messages works, sim shows up fine (using consumer cellular [att]), etc. Only thing that I'm curious about is UMS (usb mass storage). My car will not read an mtp device but did read usb mass storage when I was using my motorola atrix (using its internal sdcard, no external card required). Anybody know how to make it work in this rom or should I give that tmobile kk rom a shot (not sure how well it'd work on att)?

Scratch that. GPS isn't working. It can locate me when I'm connected to Wi-Fi, but not otherwise.
Screen is stuck in portrait orientation.
I can't get back to my stock backup. Same thing happened on my LG Optimus G: can't get back to AOSP without a total format.
i apologize for posting here, but i came across this thread looking for cyanogenmod 12 for d803. I saw on github you are a contributor. So, i was wondering that if it was even remotely possible for you to build d803? i know it could be a hassle for you thank you for your hard work in building for the beloved g2.

Got it. Had to clean-flash 2/1 to get screen rotation working, though.
Tried wiping caches and flashing 1/28, then wiping caches and system. Neither worked.
Still, I'm the happiest camper I've been since I've had the G2.
