Q- How to turn on 4G LTE on a Sprint GS3? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

My Evo 4G LTE has an option under mobile data to set it to CDMA or CDMA/LTE. My girlfriend has a GS3 an doesn't get 4G in places where I do. I didn't see where to cycle between CDMA only and CDMA/LTE on her GS3. May be an obvious answer, but we just got together so I haven't played with her phone much and didn't see where to make this change. Thanks for any help!

Oh by the way, her phone is stock unrooted and running 4.1.2. I haven't done anything with it just yet

Thank you VERY MUCH! I have no idea how I overlooked that! Just a different set up than my phones, but that shouldn't have mattered because I play around with many different phones. I was just being a noob, lol. Alright, nothing more to see here folks, let's move along and pretend this never happened! Lol

Think of 4G like Wifi...(it is in fact Wifi's humongous younger brother, built for wide scale) Wifi and Wimax and 2G/3G and Bluetooth are different radios. The 2G/3G radio is the one all mucked up.
because 4g service is from Clearwire , and not sprint
is that Los or just a real no sign

I think I also hag a 3g signal happens two times today .last night I installed a Archidroid don't know if that caused my no service also I don't get a roaming warning anymore .I'm all stock

Had that happen to me except I had full bars but no cell service. When I turned 4g off, the 3g symbol would cone back but no data. Reset fixed. damn los.

Am I lucky with these speeds? Post your speeds.

The top four are from my house at various server distances. I know I am lucky with the wifi because I only pay for around 15. I never have had los and only saw it on my wife's stock epic touch once. I bought my phone off of ebay and I'm on the eg30 modem. I am afraid to switch with it working so great.

During peak hours I got this, much better than the stock Ek02 which was 0.01mbps down and 0.13mbps up... I don't know what Sprint is doing but my speeds are much better for the past 2 days
By the way I am on EL26 ROM Modem and Kernel. if that matters.
3g - 1189d 709u 138p
4g - 3772d 592u 139p
wifi - 11597d 4092u 30p
idk if thats good or bad at 1AM but it keeps me happy =)

[Q] how to show 4G icon whe you are on a different HSPA+ different carrier

hey guys, i have a SGS II T989 and have HSPA+ but using it with a different carrier ( Claro Peru ) ... we have 4G speeds here but i can only see 3G even tough the speed test shows 4G.. I know T-mo rom limits to show 4G icon only if you are on its network..
is there a way to unblock that? or show 4G icon even if you are on a different HSPA + network ?
thanks
The Juggernaut rom by team many lets you pick what type of icon to display.

Its awesome. Way better than stock. Juggernaut is by far the best rom for our phone. Comes with the bullet kernel.

CDMA GNEX with no 4g/LTE

I'm 40min north of L.A.... it's a pretty dense area... but I am only seeing 3g. Under mobile networks I have it set as 3g/lte but it never switches to 4g.
If its the Sprint version, there is no LTE anywhere. Some people see it sometimes, but only cause they're testing the towers.
If you're on Verizon, look at a coverage map or call them up to ask if they have it.

Sprint Galaxy S3 users

Hey fellow S3 users just a recommendation about data speeds. I was having pretty slow speeds on 3g at home so I decided to Do some changes. I went to settings/mobile networks/network mode and select the cdma, lte, evdo setting and it will restart on its own to change settings. After doing that change it appears that my Internet became faster. I know it's not scientific fail proof test but it's worth a try.
