[Q] Is There a Way To OverClock Keeping the Rom I have? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have a rooted sph-L900 running Mack Allstar(best rom out) but, theres no overocking with this rom. I was wondering if there is a mod that I can install that would allow me to overclock?

Flash the perseus kernel from original dev. The kernel controls clock speeds not the rom. Perseus includes the stweaks app to control the cpu/gpu clock, under volt etc

Can I change the display colors with stock jellybean kernel?

I've used many other jellybean kernel but sock kernel shows me the best performance.
If I can change display colors just like Franco kernel, I will use sock kernel.
Is there any way to change display color?
No, you cannot.

I was wondering if there was any kind of mod that would let someone have the whole ICS look through their Gingerbread phone?

Try holo launcher.

Holo launcher is a start. I still have Over stew's old ICS theme for GB on my hard drive since hosting for it has been gone for a while now. I can upload it later if I can find it.

On my old Droid Incredible I run CM7. It has ADW launcher installed, I use an ICS theme for the theme chooser inside CM 7 for the status bar and settings menu, and an ICS theme for adw launcher to make icons and widgets match.
It works great, and the theme chooser app was built into CM7, the ADW app runs light weight in the backround services. Prolly round 20 megs used to fully theme the phone.

[Request]Stock rom with quick panel mod only

I'm looking for basically a stock rom with nothing other than the quick panel mod that allows toggle customization.
Does a rom (or flashable mod) like this exist?
I really like the performance of stock but modifying those toggles is so nice. All the roms I have been browsing seem to either have everything but the kitchen sink in them and are very themed or they don't have the toggle mod.
Thanks
Try morphology? I think its modded ui & secsettings has quick panel added and then you can theme it anyway you want

(Q) Modify TW interface (Launcher )

I wonder is it possible to remove the screen indicator dot. This is the only thing I don't like about TW. Everything else is awesome. No, I do not want to use NOVA, Launcher pro, or any other launcher. I know that the EPIC 4G Touch, Calkulin, a recognize DEV, found a way to remove it. Not sure if is possible for our G-NOTE II.
Resolve: Here is the link, download the ns_no_pi_tw.zip and flash it.

Thanks DEV, evolutioncsr, for the link and tsw_sweden, for the mod.

That would be cool. I wouldn't mind the app drawer button being in the middle and landscape while we're at it. lol

Yup
You can, you have to decompile the apk and make some edits. There's some guides around here somewhere, the only thing is the files won't be exact matches so you'll have to do some searching in there to find the lines to edit. You can remove the dots, add landscape and change the grid sizes among other things like changing out the icons etc.

Thanks man. Will APK TOOL do the job, or I need different software to decompile?
Aren't you a DEV your self? I think I seen one of your rom either in GS3 or E4GT.

Apktool should work just fine. I haven't modified tw launcher in a long while but it's just like any other apk. If I'm not mistaken calkulin has an older guide buried in the et4g section that should give you a rough guide of which lines to search for to edit, just remember they won't be exactly where they are in his guide so it'll take a little hunting if you don't have a source editor with a search feature. I'm not sure if the windoze version of notepad++ has the search function since I work in Linux when I'm modding stuff. But I don't think there's really any major differences between the win/lin versions. I'm not really a dev just a hobbiest. I'm not one for titles, I just like to mod my phone to make it mine.

Check chef central in the main forum list here on XDA. There's also dsixda kitchen which has many useful tools, including the ability to convert nandroids into flashable rom zips. There's tommytomatoes android utility, another great tool with many features including an apktool and last but not least rujelus23's AIO for apk modding, found on his site which you can link too thru one of his many threads in the et4g section. A quick google search of any of the dev+tool names+xda should take you right to their respective threads as well as detailed instructions on how to setup and use each one. Then you can choose which suits your needs and setup best, or try them all. I actually use all 4 plus some xtras as each has it's strengths and weaknesses and it never hurts to have extra tools when you're working on a stubborn project.
