Do you have overclocked your phone? If yes, set frequencies back to default settings.
I also noticed overheating with zelly cream :highfive:
No problems on my phone.

Hi everyone,
My friend have a Xperia Arc running ICS...
He want to install a custom rom on his phone as the stock rom is laggy, slow due to low ram..
He asked me to do it for him as he don't know much about rooting, custom roms, etc
I don't know much about the Xperia Arc custom roms n kernels as I don't own it...
So plz suggest some good roms n kernels...
Priorities..
- Smooth, fast n lite..
- Reasonable battery life
- Good amount of free RAM
Use ice cream pureness rom with advanced stock kernel or arc night kernel ..

I'm using Cyanogenmod 9 its quite impressive but doesn't have hdmi support.
Arconium 4.0 & XArc kernel. Best performance and battery life
Arconium is very good ROM, i always have 100+ MB free ram and its not laggy. Im using Arc Knight kernel, but its not very good for battery life i will change it soon...
Jelly Sandwich + XArc kernel = as fast as Arconium.

Great recommendation !
ArcKnight 3.5 kernel goes along with IC.Xperiance well. Its fast and great for beginners ! links below
ArcKnight kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1597771
IC.Xperiance
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836818
..
Best ROM
If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.
Regards,
hello, i want to overclock my htc dhd on ice cold sandwich but i dont want to use the built in rom controll oc app, if i install set cpu will it interfeer with it....? and also what is the highest safe overclock for the htc desire hd
I recently checked on this and most users seem to have found that up to 1.5 GHz there's a speed increase, and it remains stable. Over that and its pushing it too far, though someone was using 2.1 ghz! I'm on just under 1.5 and its fine, using Blackout ICS.

Hi,
Please share your reviews about NFS MW on your Arc/Arc S. Because for me its working fine but it closes randomly while playing game.
I am on Ultimate HD 2.0 (ics ROM by Jader) With Advanced Stock Kernel. No overclocking.
Please tell your reviews here. Did you tried that game.? if yes then please specify on which ROM you tried. thanks.
Hi. am on ultimate HD too... the touchscreen doesn't work. I can't do anything after finishing the first race. No overclocking, unlocked bootloader, advanced stock kernel.

Latest Stock ICS Sony Build for Xperia Arc
Lag Like hell when playing Street Races(well, a lot of people complaining about this even though they have dual, quadcore cpu)
but playing other races other than Street Races, everything is ok, some lag occurs rarely
Just like mhyke13ph said.
I'm on stock 587. For the most part it runs fine but there's occasionally some slow downs.

EVERYTHING ON MY SYSTEM IS STOCK EXCEPT FOR SOME MODED APPS
Ultimate HD isnt for gaming(but is a great rom)
Im using arconium 5(stock kernel) and the game runs smooth, also fifa12, realracing2(I think this game have better graphics than any other), moderm combat 3, nova 3 and more
Arconium 5 feels like gingerbread
Awesome game !!! Play it well and smooth without any crash or lag on js 7.4 by max on locked bl and stock kernel
587
Sent It With My [email protected]$T€[email protected]!N Filled With N.O.V.A [email protected]$ From The Flying JS 7.4 By Max Fully $upported/Modified By Me
It works fine with Jelly Sandwich 7.4 on ArcKnight 3.5
It lags a little bit but bearable.
Update: switched to Fusion 3.6 and MiUI 2.9.28 JB and OC-ed to 1.6ghz
Touch screen works fine now but as some ppl said occasional FCs. And it lags sometimes too for no reason, but at least it runs (fusion was never for performance anyway!). Great game, better than asphalt.

I m on Xperia Ultimate HD ROM, with stock kernel, NFS MW is running good, sometimes lag little bit, same as my brother LWW ,lag sometimes on stock ICS, only game which is lag less is virtual tennis challenge on my ROM, but on stock its unplayable...

Hi, I have installed Jelly Sandwich 7.x without wipe data and with ArcKnight_4.1 but after few hours I noticed that my battery drop down 2x faster then previous version (6.4)
what do you suggest me to do? Wipe everything and try with 8.x? Change Kernel? or what.

Wipe everything, install latest Jelly Sandwich and flash Lupus kernel v8 for good battery that will take you through the day easily.

I'm on JellySandwich 8.2 (latest version). Yesterday I changed kernel as well to lupusV8. I'm using no frills CPU with these settings (see attached screen shot). This was adviced by one of the JS users.
So far, so good. I'm still at 100% !

the title says it all , i'm moving from ultimate HD 3.1 to jellybean, do you think it worth it ? if so, i want to know which one of those 2 jellybeans better in matters of performance and least lagging rom
its not worth it
UHD is the highest performer
lol that escalated quickly , thanks
Has it not been said already that this kind of threads are forbidden?
And actually zelly cream is ics only... Just states as jb...

Its all about you
One thing, when you go to JB, use recommended kernel from ROM thread
About performance you can upgrading with V6supercharge

Xperia Z Jelly Bean is gud ..!!
Haven't used the UHD yet but this is a real gud rom . Even the battery is life is very gud .with the Lupus kernel. But make sure you have a swap of atleast 500MB+ because with out it you might get reboots while using FB or playing games for long periods. Once you the swap in place zero reboots ..!!

Just try it out yourself, no one here can help you choose the ROM since the performance differs with each user because of the different apps they install and the different settings they use.

Chgz01, i believe what you meant was to increase the internal storage from the initial 420MB to 500MB or more by using the swap script by cronmob/xstreamsiliencer. However I do face reboots quite often if the RAM falls below 50MB while running FB or browser.
