Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 Specs
Memory Card slot microSD, up to 32 GB
Internal 4 GB storage, 768 MB RAM
I only bought my phone recently and have nothing installed on it, so why does my galaxy ace 2 only have Internal 1 gb of storage showing on it
from settings on my phone it shows
usb storage 1.10gb
system storage 0.91gb
1st of all, why do need to create a new thread for this! Post in the Qand A thread if you have any questions!
The available memory is never what it says because the memory is used up by the operating system, most of the bloatware etc! And so the memory available is only around 2gb ( 1gb for system and 1 gb for storage)
Actually when it says 4gb I think it takes the RAM into consideration too, I read a post from someone here in some thread who said it's the internal storage plus system storage plus ram plus smth else...
1.20 Internal Storage
1.10 USB Storage
~0.60 System Storage
~0.80 RAM
~3.70 GB -> Close Enough?
And besides when you buy flash drives you don't even get the "EXACT" space, i.e. an 8GB would have around 7.50GB usable. (The rest is used for cache when transferring files to and from the drive)
That should have been an obvious fact.
ok thx for replys....
this phone is new to me and was just after some answers.....
problem solved :fingers-crossed:

Hi guys, I'm having a nasty problem which I cannot figure it out.
So, I bought a 16gb class 6 SD card to replace the 4 gb one, but here is the problem.
With the original 4 gb one, with all apps and games installed it shows 140 mb free (internal storage).
If I remove it and replace with the 16gb one, it shows only 105 mb free, even after a fresh wipe and install (therefore no apps and games installed).
What gives???? Can you please tell me what could be the problem? Why my EXTERNAL card is eating my INTERNAL memory? Is this a paradox? It is supposed to be only an external thing, why does it mess up with my internal memory?
Any help is greatly appreciated, its driving me nuts, I wipped, formatted, and reformatted in an endless loop, hoping to solve the problem, still the same result (old one = 140 mb with all apps installed, new one = 105 mb, only the OS, if I start installing apps and games - even if on SD, it still eats up the memory and gives a low memory message).
LE: Solved! One had A2SD+, the other didn't!
PLEASE HELP!!!
I bought a 16GB Galaxy Note 2, i want to swap my internal 16 gb with my 32 gb external,
i found a thread and did that,
now in Storage section my Device Memory shows as 29.xx gb and in my computer's browser my int SD memory shows as Card and my External Class 10 Memory shows as Phone, BUT THE BIG THING IS:
in android's app manager section it's still shows that i have 9.xx GB available for my apps
I flashed my phone with a alpha kernel with init.d support and then i flashed it with a zip that contains the scripts to swap my memories
so for now i use stock samsung firmware with a custom init.d support Kernel
what did i miss ?
PLEASE SOMEONE ASSIST ME WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSED?:crying:
Thank u my beloved developers, i really proud of all of u guys
re
i have been trying to find out how to do this for a while now, you wouldn't mind posting your method and links please would you. i started a thread re this as well. but no answer.
are your apps being installed now on the sd card or still going to the old internal mem.
cheers pj
Hiya,
I've been using the apps2sd.bin script with smanager to swap the internal storage and sd storage around. What is happening though is when you go into Settings-storage it looks like they have been swapped around but everything is still being installed in the internal storage and as you know its a pityful size and gets full quickly hence why I bought a 64 gb card.
Is there something I am doing wrong or is there another method that works properly that I can use even if I have to flash a new rom??
Cheers,
Hi all,
I have a question regarding a phone i own. I flashed cm13 on it and i see it shows only 11.xx GB. Is this normal ? The phone is 16gb
Thanks
I own a 32 gb model and storage wise i think i only have 24 available so much is reserved for system partition plus other partitions efs aboot ect so id about say its normal
I know but on my wifes Galaxy s5 it shows her internal space is 16gb and if i remember correctly my phone showed that as well on the stock lg firmware. See video what i mean. CM13 shows something else (picture first post)

Mine does that after a while what I usually to do is if there is nothing you need on internal storage is to boot into twrp wipe internal storage ,making sure you have your rom on ext card (don't want to wipe that do we) then flash my rom.
This leaves me from a clean install with about 8 or 9 gb left to use on internal storage.I think what happens over time is a lot of useless files tend to build up on internal card and this is the reason you don't have much space left and also the operating system takes up quite a bit as well.
just buy a 64gb micro sdcard... or even a 32gb if you don't need much more, they are really cheap.
part of the missing space is the partition information space and the space used by the system/recovery/cache etc. on android 6.0 you can format it as internal.
How can i format that space ? I am running CM13 that uses Android 6.0.1
Here another screenshot from the recovery, why does the recovery not say i have 16GB ???? i don't really understand why it's not listed.
Because it shows available storage not total
Oke thanks for the answer.
