[Q] Inverted Contacts - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Does anyone have a working 4.2.2 inverted contacts app? Currently using inverted 4.1.2 because whenever I use a 4.2.2 contacts, the app icon is not in the app drawer/home screen, making it not work.

Google messages app

Is it possible to replace the touchwiz messages app with the stock ICS messages app? Thanks!
You would have to be rooted to use the exact messaging app but you could just use go SMS pro and theme it like ics.
Nope, you don't need to do that anymore. I had swapped out my sms app for the stock one but you can now simply download 'Android 4.1 JB Messaging SMS' from the market.
Works just like the stock one I had installed.
Enjoy

but then it is a third-party app and you will have two messaging apps i like the OP would like to know if we can replace the stock messaging app with the stock JB messaging or even the ICS messaging.
Thanks.
Yes you can, mash here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308. This should be in Q&A thread.
Thanks guys! Turns out you can just move the ICS MMS.apk to /system/app and it works perfectly. Renamed Samsung MMS with .old so I didn't get double notification.

check here or you can post a request for transparent widgets. if it can be done, it usually only only takes a day or 2. search the thread before asking though!!!

Thanks you. The b-boy one is nice, but I'd like to change the blue text to white for my own personal use. I've unpacked the apk with winrar. Does anyone know what file to look at to change the blue text to white?

im pretty sure you need touchwiz framework for those, in which case they will never be on google edition roms, or aosp. But not totally certain.
yes, you need tw framework. and no nobodys ported it.
I tried to run Splanner apks on the 4.3 GPe, it would open without showing any calendar data then FC after a few seconds.
I assumed Google Calendar was for Gmail only and wouldn't work with my Exchange server--but I was wrong, it worked fine.

The Google play edition has stock touchwiz framework but is deblotted and has all aosp stock apps so just find the apps your looking for and move them to /system/app and reboot and they should work.

[Q] Google Keyboard Emojis only on Hangouts

I wonder why the emojis only show up when I use the Hangouts app (use at as default for SMS) but not any other app in the system. Is there something I could install or flash to make the same emoji option appear on every app that has a keyboard capable funcition? Sorry in advance if I haven't seen a thread with my answer already (searched everywhere + google)

You have forgotten to let everyone know whether or not
you have already downloaded the Emoji keyboard?
If you have not yet installed an Emoji keyboard then here is the direct
download link to the playstore if you want to download and install the
Emoji Keyboard: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.klncity1.emojikeyboard&hl=en
(it's a free app)
Good luck

The one in my previous post is for all versions, if it's not compatible
with your rom or your phone the play store will not allow you to
download it......... I just edited my reply to you to include the
download link.
Good luck!
I have installed Emoji keyboard already sorry for not mentioning but I'm in love with the Google keyboards emojis in the Hangouts app

If you are on 4.4, then you will see the colored one that are in hangouts.
If you are on TouchWiz 4.3, you will see a touchwiz version of the colored ones.
If you are on 4.1 - 4.2 then you will see black and white emojis.
SwiftKey also has emojis which work system wide

This isn't entirely true, I'm on 4.4 on my Note 3 with the Google Keyboard installed and in the Hangouts app it shows the Google emoji's but as soon as I tap on one, it comes up in the text box as the stock Samsung ones, This is the same issue on my girlfriends S4 with the Google Keyboard.
Is there anyway to switch the system emoji's to the Hangouts ones from Google? I don't like the Samsung ones after siwtching from the Note 2 which was running BAM Android (AOSP), so it had the Hangouts ones built in.
I noticed this on the Nexus 5 that it has the Hangouts emoji stock because it's AOSP, but as soon as you go on any other ROM that's not a true AOSP it reverts to the stock system emoji despite the keyboard selection.
