Yeah. Read the rules and then read the ROM threads in the appropriate dev forum and then try some for yourself.

There is no "best" ROM. Try some and see which one is best based on your usage.

Not in a hurry to load a 4.0.3. ROM, but wondering if this is the case.
You're about the tenth person to ask. Did you try browsing/searching the forums?

I dont always ask questions, when when I do, I prefer to ask questions that have been posted a dozen times already. Try using the search function my friend!
Hello all, I've posted this on the Nexus Evolution thread, but haven't gotten any response. I am wondering if there is a way to install the stock Android 4.2.1 theme onto the Nexus Evolution Rom. I love the rom, but loathe the theme that it is built upon. Is there any way to do this? I tried flashing to one stock theme that I found, but I think it was from 4.1.2 it bootlooped. ANY help would be awesome.
Also, if this isn't possible, can anybody recommend a theme that is close to stock?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is in the wrong thread, wasn't sure if it should go here or in Themes/Apps.
I do believe the developer posted there was no way. This also belongs in q n a. Way too many posts poppin up in dev thread lately that arent dev related

You realize this is the galaxy nexus section right?

Obviously you post in the forum for the device you're using regardless of the contents of the post. That's just basic etiquette.

Not necessarily. If I'm posting from a Galaxy Nexus about trouble with a custom Rom on an s2 I would post in the s2 forums

Can anyone post a link for a stock 4.2.2 ROM for the Verizon Nexus? I've searched and searched. Also, a lightly modified ROM, with just basic performance mods would be nice as well.

You must be blind as there is a return to stock thread in this exact forum

A light but performance optimized rom? Maybe Android Revolution HD will help.

Go to a Google search page and type "galaxy nexus factory image". Pretty good odds that you will find a link to the Google page that has all of these. Amazing what a quick Google search can uncover.:banghead:

In terms of stock ROMs, you can visit http://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images. That will always have the latest stock ROMs. If you need something older for some reason, I keep a firmware archive on my website that has old versions. You can check that out at http://www.randomphantasmagoria.com/firmware/galaxy-nexus.
Thread Closed.
Not sure if the second part is a "best" ROM type questions. But you got an answer above. Please look at features, etc and see what works for you.
But the first part can be found with a quick search. Please search before posting!

You have been a member of xda since 2013. You should know to post questions in q&a section.
My apologies, I thought since my question was specifically about which ROM is tracking on top right now that it made sense to ask here. If I offended you or others, I am sorry.

"which ROM is the best" is also an unacceptable question on xda. you should read the intro posts for new members.
good thing a dev has not answered you, they are the ones that will be offended.
It's not OK to ask for people's opinions?

Maybe I should have rephrase my original thought. At first I thought to ask which other rom I should other than liquidsmooth because the wifi was broken, but I thought that would be offensive. But here goes, which rom is stable and not broken?

Don't take it personally, this is xda and as such there are a lot of devs here, pretty much everything android starts here, so you need to tread carefully.
I understand you were just trying to be straight to the point, but such questions in such a manner have been known to cause upset.
I'm not taking it personally. I will just refrain from asking for opinions in the future.
