Flash player?? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Sorry guys I tried the guide about installing flash player but it still doesn't seem to be working. The video and play button will actually show but when I try to play the video it either won't buffer/buffers forever or try to play an ad, but fail (won't even load).
Please forgive any inconvenience this causes anybody. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Simply download and install using this link.
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.48/install_flash_player_ics.apk
It says ics but i confirm this works on jelly bean.

Yes, that's the one I've been trying. I download it, open ES file explorer, locate and install it, yet I can't watch videos other than YouTube (which I never had a problem with in the first place).
Edit: Sometimes it seems as if it really wants to play 'cus the buffer symbol will kind of skip and speed up, but continues buffering forever.
Also, I'm using the default browser, but have also tried boat/boat mini, opera, dolphin, and dolphin jetpack if that counts.
And this might be the issue: I'm trying to watch the videos on animefreak.tv and justdubs.tv. I'm not sure if those types are supported, but they did say they needed flash player 10.1+
Thanks again for your time.
Another edit: Just tried a different video player on the anime freak.TV site and it worked flawlessy, so I suppose it's safe to assume the others are just obsolete or something?

What rom you're running? Browser? Desktop mode or android mode (user agent)? Which flash player do you have

For flash to work you need to use another browser other than stock or chrome, example Boat Browser.
In your app drawer you should have flash settings, open it using boat browser then simply close the tab. Open a new one with flash and give it a shot, it should work ok.

The people's ROM gs3 and as I've said I tried the default browser, boat AND boat mini, opera and dolphin with flash player 10.1 and 11+.
I'm still messing with it here and there but still only the specific video player on animefreak.TV will work. Not including YouTube of course. And I tried desktop view and otherwise with all that had the option (boat, default, dolphin but dolphin keeps flash off always regardless, so...)

[Q] Problem with flash videos in browser

Hi
Whenever i try playing a flash video in the browser (or in skyfire), after i press the play button, the progress bar is moving, i get the audio, but there's no video - the video area remains black.
I'm experiencing this for about 2 months now, in which i switched ROMs (iceandfire, cyanogen), updated the flash player several times, updated skyfire several times (it happens both in skyfire and stock browser), cleared cache of those 3 apps, cleared data, tried to uninstall and reinstall...
nothing helps...
Any ideas?
Thanks
Edit: found a similar thread at cyanogonmod forums:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/..._hl__+black++video__fromsearch__1#entry194047
I'll keep an eye on it over there. I''ld delete this post if I knew how...
I also had this problem, then I downloaded the 10.2.idontknow and it worked again!
i am using the cm 7.0.3 and adobe flashplayer 10.3. seems no problem. i did not do any extra setting. so give it a try.
I have a similar issue. Mine will play fine in the browser, but when I open the video in Youtube after starting a video in the browser, it will start to play, but only audio plays - no video. I am currently using a stock, non-rooted G2. I didn't have this
problem with my last G2 running CM7 though...

I have the same issue. However my YouTube app works fine. An interesting point is videos that automatically open in full screen from the browser work. I'm on cm7.0.3 with the latest flash.
I used to be able to resolve the issue with an older version of flash but now when I do that YouTube gripes that I must update flash player.

Wow I must be lucky, because I've never experience this issue. And I watch youtube dailymotion on the browser and never had this issue

I've had the black screen of death too. Only audio on random embedded videos. Like worldstarhiphop.com for instance. I'll try a fresh rom install and see if that works if no fixed is found in this thread. It's the only thing hindering CM7 based roms.

from the cyanogenmod forums (the link i posted in my first post):
@dewd write:
"Yes. I did 2 things to make it work.
1. I updated to the latest version of Flash in the market (10.3.185.22).
2. I used ROM Manager to "Fix Permissions" (and rebooted).
After these steps I was able to watch Flash movies.
This did not fix Netflix, It plays movies with sound, but no picture. "
it worked for me, took a couple of minutes to fix permissions but then i was able to see flash videos again.
i checked it only in 1 website though...
I have same problem...
Apparently the fix permissions method didn't work...
So I tried what @Tommebaas recommended, and downloaded an old 10.2 version of Adobe Flash Player.
It worked! thanks @Tommebaas
Here's a link to the version that did the trick for me:

10.3 is better and runs flash that 10.2 can't, so that's not really a fix if I downgrade.

What does 10.3 run, that 10.2 can't? I don't view a whole bunch of sites with Flash. But for what I have viewed, I've never had an issue as far back as 10.1. It seems like a lot of the recent updates have had more to do with tablets (and very minor performance enhancements) than anything else.
I moved Flash to SD and it works for me now.

the 10.2 install fixed it for me, idk what is suppose to be special about 10.3 but um if it doesnt work its not better than 10.2 so yeah.

[Q] Adobe flash double clicking

Hi everyone. I bought google nexus 7 today and manually installed flash. I know that google chrome on android 4.1 do not support flash, so i installed dolphin browser. So here is a problem, when i view flash content and tap on a screen, for example, a checkbox on a flash website it checks and unchecks. That means that browser does a double click. I tried to install any other browser. Opera doesnt show flash content, mozilla does but VERY low quality. I tried a lot of non popular browsers. Only one works fine, mozilla firefox beta. I tried to install any versions of adobe flash player. Nothing changes. So here is the question, am i the only one with double clicking flash content? How to disable double tapping? Thanks.
It's in dolphin setting. Click on setting then Web content. Then flash player always on. So you don't have to click every time it wants to load flash.
Or download the stock browser.
Happy hacking

The problem is that browser makes a double click, when i make a single click.
Good luck I've been looking for flash that worked worth the hell since I bought my nexus, had I known it was anti flash like crapple products I would not have got it.

Can't blame Google for Adobe abandoning it's users.
As for flash, doesn't Dolphin browser disable flash by default on JB devices and make it impossible to turn back on? If so you may need to download the old stock browser on the market.
I've found that doing more of a long press eliminates the double press problem.

Yes I'm using dolphin and boat and they both crash just the same.

try the stock android browser (quick ics browser in playstore). i have cm10/paranoidrom and flash works like a charm in stock browser.
same here, i pulled apk from my gnex n put it in /system/app of n7, set permisiions, n boom!!! works pretty good.
I use "Dolphin Browser Beta" and it works like a charm. The videos are all pixelated like in Firefox.

Force HTML5 on AOSP Browser?

I'm wondering if it is possible to use only html5 on the AOSP browser. I don't like that the flash on it now plays videos more pixelated than normal. If i go and view the same flash video with an only html5/non-flash browser, like chrome, it plays much more clearly. Alternatively I would like to have it switch to the YouTube app like chrome does when you click on a youtube video.
Anyone? Is it just not possible or is there somewhere else on the forum I should ask where someone might know?
I would also like to see this implemented into the browser I wish we had a dev who could help I am going to ask about

It's not actually playing flash, but html5 instead (where it's supported). YouTube is a great example, but many flash-only sites are broken in chrome .

so give Google time to make Chrome a perfect browser, since Adobe will never ever support android phone (I think so), ya html5 kind of cool
In a nutshell, flashplayer mobile cannot or is yet not supported by chrome android. To view pure flash content you must use the android stock browser

pretty sure Google will never bring Flash to Chrome mobile since they are pushing for HTML5 and Adobe announced its going to stop supporting Flash for mobile.
Try firefox. Pretty good mobile browser as well and it can run flash.

I used Xscope for years after getting my first Android, the first MyTouch, Boat browser was the first one that was able to pull me away from it. I kept trying Dolphin, Chrome, Firefox, Maxthon, Opera, UC, Puffin, Angel, ICS Browser +, all of them but it was always Xscope and now it's Boat. It's so fast, has everything you need and nothing you don't, support for flash, a few themes (i still use the default black though), it's great, I don't have a single bad thing to say about it.
I use Boat as my default browser, too.
The only thing is that sometimes, it takes a few attempts to select a link within the page unless I play with the zoom in/out and then open it in a new window.
Other than that, I really like my Boat.
I really like boat, but it crashes when I try to play flash contents. It works fine on firefox... I cant find any fix for it :/

I use Boat as my default browser. Tried Dolphin, Firefox, Xscope, Next, Ocean, Chrome, Stock, and others, but I always go back to Boat.
Boat browser has always been my favorite/"download" browser. If the download fails you can just push retry and it usually picks up where it left off. I once started a download at around 9 in the morning on 4g, it failed cuz I have horrible reception at work, and I resumed when I got home on wifi with no problems
I have Chrome, Opera, Stock, Chrome, Dolphin and Boat on my phone, and I always return back to boat. It's just great.
I use dolphin because of lastpass integration.
I have boat installed for flash sites
I tried Boat Browser because others have suggested it but I didn't see any advantage to it over Dolphin Browser. I also use the Dolphin Lastpass plugin; really handy! FYI: the new Dolphin Browser Beta supports Flash Player!
http://dolphin-browser.com/beta/
Boat Browser used to be a simple, clean, and intuitive er imo. Then, it got all big and fancy, adding extensionions, pro keys, etc... It's frankly just not the same.
However for those looking for something clean, I've given Next Browser a try... Not bad, but I do prefer Chrome (sans the lag - just gotta clear cache every now and then )...

I still use the free version of Boat. It's simple and straightforward. If I need to bookmark anything, I open up Chrome.
