Need Help Please Answer

Hi all, i just downloaded and instaled Froyo_UK_3.4.2-117 to my defy but when i try to import contacts it's says what "no conctats were imported. An error occured". when i try to add new contatct when i get this words"Can not create a new contact without a valid account, so i need to add acc like Gmail,google,or smth? or what? I also have new sim card. Please help me,
p.s i can send sms, just can get to save my contats.

So have you logged in your google account or not?
I think to add contacts you need gmail account

Ty Mate, i just needed to log to my acc like Gmail,or google and active motorblur new acc and what's all. so whats about new 2.3 version any news,or smth? or people made rom 2.3 ?

[Q] there is a issue with my defy

im in latest nightly i couldn't add a contact when i am send a message ,i means when u input message number u can't choose a contact and add it.
anybody know how to fix it????

There really isn't a way to fix this, however, you can tap on the contact picture icon in messaging, and there should be an option to add the number to your contacts. Hope this helps!

theoretically it can't affect adding contacts to your sms, but it is worth a try: in settings/language&keyboard/android keyboard tick 'show suggestions'. if it doesn't work, wipe cache, or worst case scenario, wipe data or reinstall cm7!

I recomend the new CM7 updated today, it has many major improvements , in fact is the RC0 (release Candidate 0) launched a few hours ago, and you can download from the nighlys repository in the following link:

[Q] Problems with ORBOT on cyanogenmode: cm-10.2.1-flo.zip

Hi dear XDA community,
I have got some issues while try to hardening my ASUS Google Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi following the how to guide on https://blog.torproject.org/blog/mission-impossible-hardening-android-security-and-privacy
Below you will find some key facts of my configuration:
I flashed the device with the last stable CM build: cm-10.2.1-flo.zip.
I followed the above how to guide up to chapter: Installation and Setup: Tor and Firewall configuration
Firewall Rules are set up and FW is enabled
When I try to surf the web (doens't matter if I use orweb or the build in browser) I get the following error message:
error 5: authentication via the proxy server was unsuccessfull
The funny thing is that I am able to connect to the FDroid market to download and install apps.
I double checked my browser settings - everything looks good
Ideas for furher investigation like log file analysis are pretty welcome

[CM12.1][i9195] Can't parameter any mails on any app

Hi everyone,
I have a really boring issue, I can't parameter any of my email (infomaniak, work-email, school-email) but gmail on my CM12.1 with my S4 mini I9195.
- I checked my school tuto and my infomaniak tuto to parameter pop3/imap on android phone.
- I did exactly the same as asked by tutos (adress of mail-server, security protocol, port, username, password)
- I also tried every possibility between security protocol and port, "no security" included.
- I'm sure the servers are right because if I type them wrong I have an error with the server.
- I tried on both stock email-app of CM12.1 and gmail-app, I always have a nickname & password error when the app is checking servers, except... my gmail email...
- I also tried to do that both with my wifi at home and my 4G, same issue
I don't know what to try next, I already checked tens of forums threads, nobody is talking about general issue, it's always specific app or mail problem, generally due to a wrong server adress or protocol or username/pw
Is there any problem with mail-authentification on CM12.1 ?
Did I forgot something to parameter on phone instead of email-app ?
Any idea ?

I disabled the version 5.1 of Services Exchange and I installed com.google.android.gm.exchange Version 6.5-1729047
Your idea was good, I'm quit silly to not have though about it but, it's still doing user/pw problem
Do you think I should try with older version of exchange service than 5.1 ? Maybe that's not this causing the issue...

I don't have that problem. i installed cm12.1 on two different i9195 phone's. maybe the gapps version?

That's enought for me, maybe too much already.
But what is the point of GApps here ? There is no link with the fact I want my mail on my phone and google apps ? No ?
EDIT : I checked the full package content of GApps, there is no apps linked to mail except GMAIL that I installed to test mail-parameter on my phone

Up, any ideas ? If I forgot something to help you finding the way to fix, tell me, i'm here. If there is another forum more appropriate on this site to ask my question, can you give me the name ? I don't know where or how to fix this annoying issue

ROM for ZE551ML with a working google accounts manager

Hello, I got a new zenfone 2 ZE551ML from China without google account manager / google play. I am from Germany and need this. I check the internet and this forum, but there was no working solution for me. I installed Mi market, next the ggogle installer.....but it dosent work because in the end by click google account log in I got the message Connection problem with the google server....try again later.....
So I think the best way would be to install a new rom. But I have the problem to find a rom which support google and German lenguage with an instruction how to do it.
Please can you help me?
