[Q] there is a issue with my defy - Defy General

im in latest nightly i couldn't add a contact when i am send a message ,i means when u input message number u can't choose a contact and add it.
anybody know how to fix it????
thanks

There really isn't a way to fix this, however, you can tap on the contact picture icon in messaging, and there should be an option to add the number to your contacts. Hope this helps!

theoretically it can't affect adding contacts to your sms, but it is worth a try: in settings/language&keyboard/android keyboard tick 'show suggestions'. if it doesn't work, wipe cache, or worst case scenario, wipe data or reinstall cm7!

Help! Getting no SMS

Help! I installed Swtos 1.4 vanilla ROM and everythings fine but when I get a SMS it shows "1 unread message" but when I open Messaging theres no SMS in inbox! Also, theres no notification when the SMS comes. What could be wrong?
I want to keep the ROM cause its exactly what I was searching for, clean, so I can install what I like and dont have to get along with all the software I dont need.

Hi there, I think this should be in "swtos" thread with his rom's, that this is may cuz him..
Anyway, did you make a hard reset after flashing your phone?
could it be an email notification?

Google maps not doing what's written on the can...

Dear all,
I wonder if someone could help me out... (or maybe had the same problem): since the last update of google maps, the normally very useful option "Save as Contact" after running a search just won't work any more... nothing happens when I select it. Looked everywhere... can't find any hint or tips...
I'm on Dutty's 3.6 now, but I already had the same problem in stock Rom before I flashed.
If someone could help, I'd be very grateful...
Upgrade, as I can confirm that saving a contact in Google Maps works on Dutty 3.7
Ah... This is the only glitch I have on my Rom at the moment, so I guess I'll have to decide whether it's bad enough to call for a new flash and full re-install of everything. Wish there was a reg edit for that.... Anyway thanks for your reply.

[Q] SMS Message Center in CM11

Hi everybody!
I have the last CyanogenMod 11 Nightly installed on my device (GT-I9195), and I can't find where I set the SMS Message Center like in the stock rom.
With the *#*#4636#*#* code, in SMSC, the code don't update to the new value and still using the old center code.
I need to switch this because I having troubles with the actual value, and according my service provider I need to change this with other SMS Message Center to solve.
Thanks!
Please...
Can someone help me?
Did you solve this?
This might help. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/SMSC_Updates
Have you tried Converting to PDU Format - as per the bottom of the page link? This will take you to http://www.twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode, and use only the first 16 digits from the response.
I have a similar issue where-by I can send sms, but not receive, but NB, this didn't fix my issue. I'm guessing my issue was because the rom image is somehow flawed. (I'll simply revert to an older rom)
*** Be careful mind, I've just discovered trying to change mine has caused a boot-loop ***
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Stu

Unable to save contacts in phone memory 14.1-20170306-NIGHTLY-bacon

Hi!
I now have 14.1-20170306-NIGHTLY-bacon (OnePlus One).
Whenever I try to add a new contact, the only option I get is to add it to the online @Gmail account.
I want to just save a contact on the phone (not SIM, but phone storage) but the option is simply not there. (Under Contacts > Add contact round button > Saving to)
Does anyone know whether that was a design decision or could it be a bug? Or, am I missing some setting that I need in order to do that?
In also looking for the same. Did you find any solution?
It was indeed a missing feature. As it happens, it has just been (re)added to the March 20th nightly.
See the change log. I am not allowed to post links yet, but it's the first link in their website.
Just updated to the latest nightly. Thanks
I'm having the similar issue, contacts get imported to device and then disappear in a few minutes.
This was not resolved in the recent Lineage OS Oreo 8 15.2 nightly (March 20th 2018)
