Wi-Fi Remote Access - GREAT piece of software.

Note that the current version is not compatible with Windows Mobile Standard. Version 2.0 will bring compatibility with non touchscreen devices.

I've tried to install in my C720W, with 3VO.3.00.112509 ROM.
But I could not run this app, there is an error message like this:
An unexpected error has occurred in RemoteAccess2.exe

It's been a while that I promised a version of WIFI Remote Access compatible with Windows Mobile Standard.
It's now done with the version 1.7r2 :

It didn't work for me. After installing, I get a crash and the option to exit or see the error message. Too bad I can't cut and paste that error message...

finally it's been introduced in version 1.7r2 since there will probably never be a 2.0 version...

that's weird
I don't own a Windows Mobile Standard device, but I tested on the emulator and on a friend's device 3 days ago (although I did some very minor changes since then) and it worked.
without the error message, it's gonna be hard for me to debug

I just realized that you probably installed the version 1.0w! (which is very old, but still downloadable from my site)
make sure you have clicked on the appropriate link to download the latest beta version.
I can confirm that it works on windows mobile standard devices!

HTC Sense 2.5 weather - how to add custom city using PC

Hello everyone - just another way to add custom city to Sense 2.5 enabled PDA. This time via PC. I do not pretend that it the only way - just sharing what I`ve got.
You will need:
SQLite Administrator
homepage
file named 2330fc3c_manila - it can be found in /windows directory
Total Commander PPC
your city weather code (locCode) in accuweather.com database. For example, for Paris in France, Accuweather URL is : _www.accuweather.com/en-us/EUR/FR/FR012/PARIS/quick-look.aspx?partner=accuweather&metric=0
The locCode is EUR|FR|FR012|PARIS
Ok. Here we go.
turn off sense.
copy 2330fc3c_manila elsewhere to your PC, do not forgive to remove read-only atribute.
open 2330fc3c_manila in SQLite Administrator, do not forgive to check "all files".
find the city in your country you do not need - you will replace it whith your own city. go Tables->cities->Fields->cityName
and edit values correspondingly. as the matter of fact - only accuweatherCode is needed to obtain weather - so input it careful.
close SQLite Administrator
copy 2330fc3c_manila to your PPC /windows folder
reboot your PPC
enable Sence 2.5 and enjoy
Tested on At&t FUZE whith Energy.RAPHAEL.23569.Sense2.5.Cookie.Dinik.Glass.Jun.12.
here are good apps righten by JVH3 for weather editing in sense 2.5. I suggest to try it at first, because it is more easy way . besides JVH3 is sort of angry for me starting this thread

didn`t know about your apps, have try almost anything with latest energy rom - only method I mention above helps. AFAIK this is universal way regardless of sense version, but not the user friendly.

I suggest giving it a shot. The Moderator Timmy Marsh links to my app in his post on how to add cities to Sense.

BTW - That thread has a ton of useful information in its 30 posts.
Once TouchFLO 3D 2.1 came out, nothing worked anymore, so I created the app at the link. Then I added support for Sense 2.5.

It already does that.
When you start the app, it shuts down sense or touch flo 3d.
Then, if it was running when you started the app, when you exit with the left soft button labeled Exit, it restarts it.

Post a link to the ROM you are flashing. I have an Extra Fuze, so it's no trouble for me to flash it and test. I'm guessing that there might be more than 1 variety of the Gen Y ROM.

You already test it - and say everything is good. so looks like problem on my side

PSFreedom Android via Diamond?

Just wondering if anyone was working on getting this ported to our phones? Works on the Desire and few others via this thread:

It's listed even two times! They have to make up their minds about the used usb controller though *fg*.

I wonder who is actually working on it? I have watched the thread all day.. I see its listed, but no proof of anyone actually working on it. I guess it just listed because of the usb controller it uses is compatible..

I hope that the problem is only to recompile the code for the Diamond hardware...
(also on Diamond we can run haret.exe)

Trying now. If this works, I can finally return my TI 84 calc.

After following the guide and getting android installed i get the following error trying to insert the module "insmod: can't insert 'psfreedom.ko': invalid module format".
im using the newest xdandroid i could find here on a diamond100
actually dmesg returns "psfreedom: version magic '2.6.27.46-01162-g741ab49-dirty preempt mod_unload ARMv6 ' should be '2.6.27.46-01130-g0ac6681 preempt mod_unload ARMv6'"

It's ok for me.
Now I'm tested the fixed version with backupmanager.

The first boot is very slooooooow.

I have install and run Psfreedom on my old Diamond GSM.
I dont have PS3 right now.
But it looks like working cos.... when I type "insmod psfreedom.ko" and press enter I have next line "#" no any errors and messages.
And at that moment my PC recognize "Unknow USB device". So I think that something is emulating on my Diamond.
One more thing!
When I copy file "modules-2.6.27.46-01162-g741ab49-dirty.tar" to SD
I have renamed it to "modules-2.6.27.46-01162-g741ab49.tar" and replace existed old one.
I have XDAndroid 2.2 (rel 1.6) no any updates.

I modified the psfreedom.ko by myself
Is very simple with an HEX Editor.

IGO PRIMO 1.2 - HD MINI FIRST STEPS ..
Having successfully installed vers. 1.1 - I'm working on the latest version 1.2 on HD MINI - already installed on HD2 and fully functional, the only problem I have is the resolution with less than perfect vision. It is still not at full screen. ll all but 'works fine (then maps gps etc ...) instead of still photos of the first steps of vers 1.2 that I have to say more' stable and fast. Graphically better than 1.2. WORK CONTINUES ....
p.s. (I posted a new thread 'cause the 1.2 is different from previous versions, one could take the items that were changed the SYS file, but I noticed that create problems. So I preferred to work with original files 1.2).

p.s. and anyway I repeat .... I did not open this thread to let you know that 1.2 works, but only to be able to improve on (HD MINI) ... works even better if you already 'time, you can help with technical.

TTS Voice Steffi (this is the only one Functioning) _ ....... sorry but I have to correct you. There are many voices in TTS do not know your language but I think they are standard. We add to this string then just sys.txt:

It would be nice if someone could upload data.zip branding.zip and sys.txt together with ANY valid skin to get this working on my HD mini. It drives me crazy now.

I can attach the sys.txt and branding, working perfectly on hd mini.
for data.zip, use search: multiresolution, with inside also, 480x272.
are 48MB-....

igo primo works only landascape mode! so far I managed only to run in portrait mode HTC HD2, but only with appropriate modifications.

I wanted to inform that I have applied in these two days, and I was able to start PRIMO 1.2, final resolution of 480x320. It is still in testing (I still have some errors) - incompatibility with the skins, but the road is good. Please, please do not ask even download via private post, I will not violate any laws, ownership licensing. And detract from this fantastic site XDA. And as already 'said the sole purpose of this thread.For me, each time discovering the potential of this fantastic smartphone.

Well I got it Working.
Just a few things
The GPS shows as working after I close the programm.
Seem to be blocking all of the interface buttons.
Need to close it from the Interface to be able to use the phone at all.

To receive calls from other stops on its own and continue the navigation, first download from the satellite positions.

We've seen it the first time, eefdriehuis.
If you don't know - don't touch it. You could (perma-)brick your device.

This System Packages working correct for my device... only not support some oem apps...

That is pathetic. If 3rd party apps on rooted phones can take screenshots, I wonder why Microsoft can't spend some resource to bake this in the OS. Not being able to do this in 2012 is embarrassing; even iOS can do this. And no, they can't blame the windows CE kernel for this one.
