Dude we need way more information than this. Try installing better battery stats (like somewhere on xda) and seeing if an app is keeping your phone awake or using up cpu cycles. Also it could be your battery is just going bad.

Try greenify and JuiceDefender.
Greenify (click here for the play store link ) lets you prevent (those annoying battery draining) apps from running in the background, such as Maps, which drains (on average) 7% of your battery.

I can't believe that this grossly misinformed advice is still making its rounds. Wiping battery stats does nothing to enhance battery life. It does nothing to affect battery indication. It is 100% useless and based on ignorance of the operating system and lithium polymer batteries. Don't waste your time with it. You'll get the same result if you slather your phone with grape jelly.
Want an easier way to wipe battery stats? Simply unplug your phone from the charger after a full or near-full charge. Guaranteed that it won't make a difference either way, though, since the batterystats.bin file is merely a list of apps that have operated on battery since the last full charge.

Check what apps is running on your background and close the apps that you didn't want.
Or try some battery saver apps

I bought my phone before 5 months I think the battery is good!!
After flashing cm9 I had this problem
Yeah. It is true. The first time flashing should drain your battery fast. You should wipe battery stats via CWM and calibrate your battery using the app in Google play. Remember to follow the instructions of the calibration. You should let your battery totally drained after the calibration. And recharge it to be fully 100% without touching it before it reach the full charge. You should make it that way 4 times. It will make your battery get used to it and become normal again. At least, the battery will not drain fast. AND ONE MORE, DO NOT COMPARE THE BATTERY USAGE BETWEEN CM9 AND STOCK, BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE LONGER TIME WITH THE BATTERY, JUST REVERT BACK TO STOCK ROM. THAT SHOULD DO IT. FOR ME, WHEN I WAS IN STOCK THE BATTERY LAST LIKE 20 HOURS. IN CM9 IT ONLY REACH 16 HOURS. COUPLE HOURS DIFFERENT. BUT IT IS OK FOR ME.

Thank you
but I should make wipe battery stats via CWM 4 times and calibrate 4 times?
or I should make wipe once then calibrate 4 times?
Please answer me to start doing that..

IMO Wiping battery stats and calibrating are the same functions. You don't need to wipe again if you already calibrate just waste of time.
Calibrating battery also wipe the battery stats. Just wipe / calibrate once i guess (correct me if wrong) because i always did once and there's no problem with my battery (drains too fast)
Hope it helps

Hi,
After doing some research, it was proven that wiping battery stats does nothing to improve the battery life.
If you did not change any setting from uNEAK Engine or the kernel, it must be your charger, you must have used a different charger? :fingers-crossed:
No its the same charger but I fiddled with thr uNEAK engine settings ...perhaps I should return to perseus or redpill ..... am gonna let it completely discharge ajd recharge it powered off .. maybe that would help ... and thanks for ur help
Sent from my GT-N7100
Just Re-flash whatever that ROM you are using. Then check. If same, charger gone. Nothing to worry about as mine was bad too!
Ive had this, no idea why but its a kernel thing. Flash another one like perseus and if you want flash back again to Neak. It should fix it.

Wiping battstats in recovery does nothing. It is just a file generated by the phone whenever it is recharged.
One of the google engineers debunked the myth on google+ a while back

oh dear "android os"...why my battery?

I am a happy owner of HOX. everything seems to be perfect except the battery drain..
Either Android OS or Android system consumes battery like hell...
After charging the phone for 100%, i just unplugged it and after 30 mins battery was 73%...and battery temperature was freaking 50C which is like 120C for batteries!!!!! I restarted the phone which made the temperature worse...then after few mins again restarted and now the phone is going in deep sleep..this has happened many times and surprisingly batterystats says there is no specific culprit..just Android OS or Android system.
I read somewhere that it is actually Android bug and google are trying to fix it..but why does it happens randomly? And this problem normally happens when battery is fully charged...
btw i am on ViperX 3.3.8 and on stock kernel
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank You
Rom? Kernel?
ROM kernel details updated on 1st post...btw viperx3.3.8 with stock kernel
This is also happening to me Im also using viper 3.3.8 on the kernel provided by Venom, Im gussing its a bug on 3.3.8

Thanks for trying to help but I have already mentioned in the thread that it is not saying which app is causing problem..just Android OS and below that Android system
Heres the easy way out, look at my signature, open the link , there you'll see the guide for ultimate battery on HoX , And also there is a link for WAKELOCKS guide. If you do decide to follow my guide but before that check your wakelocks i ensure you that you'll be hiting minimum 5 hrs screen time with heavy usage ( no gaming )
Today's usage as recorded few hrs ago...
total 4h 37m on battery from 100% down till 43%...3 mins data on only..onle 1 call..2 texts..thats all..wth...will be posting screenshots soon..

Sorry I thought you were talking about the stock battery stats. Have you looked at the kernel wakelocks and partial wakelocks sections? That's where you'll get the most useful information.

Deleting battery stats file does not improve anything on your phone and it does not fix any issues either!
And restarting consuming more battery is normal, as phone is using more resources to load Android.

Thanx for the correction, Someguyfromhell. Just thought that was the only difference with my installation as my Arc S does not lose so much loading up with my many apps.Thanx still
I have also experienced big drain during reboot and specially when in CWM installing stuff or running/restoring backups. Out of that battery is just fine so I wouldn't worry :good:
try using kernel fusion 5.5/5.4

how to fix fast battery drain?

please help me to fix battery drain .I'm sure it's not the battery, but if it is, will the calibration help? maybe flash stock zui?

There may be apps running in the background. Find out about them. See which app is consuming max battery. If possible, clean flash a ROM like bootleggers and flash bfr kernel under clocked. The download link is available in the bootleggers thread.

Kindly share few basic information with your question.
Which ROM
Which baseband
Which kerñel
How many sim card
Which is your primary network
Your usage patterns (games or social or video, or like 4G or WiFi)
Age of Phone (actually age of your battery)
What is your SOT and standby (how often do you need to charge?)
Etc..
Usually battery monitoring apps like AccuBattery can give you good idea on what is using how much battery !!
