Hi guys, you can get ONE's ringtones, notifications, alarms, ui-sounds from HERE.
How to install:
1.) Open the audio.zip on your PC
2.) Extract all files from ringtones folder to the Ringtones folder on your internal SD
3.) Extract all files from notifications folder to the Notifications folder on your internal SD
4.) Extract all files from alarms folder to the Alarms folder on your internal SD
5.) Unplug your phone from PC, go to settings and choose your new ringtone/notification/alarm sound
All credits goes to deagleone. :good::good:

hey everyone,
i did a few searches just to see if anyone had this question before but i couldn't find anything. so i created the media folder then audio within it and then alarms, ringtones, and notifications. the only problems i have is that when i put new notifications or ringtones into the folders and go through menu and settings to select them they won't show up until i restart my phone. does anyone else have this problem or am i missing something? thanks.
on my sd card the folder path goes media>>audio>>notifications...how are you putting them on your sd card?
Make sure you unmount before you eject..etc...
i have one folder named media, then inside that is a folder named audio, then inside that i have 3 folders named alarms, notifications, and ringtones. i can see them in my settings but i can only select them after i restart my phone (this is if i download them and i don't put them on my sd card from connecting it to my computer, i guess i could solve it by unmounting and then remounting my sd card.
OP, did unmounting/mounting work for you?
I have root and copied the relevant files in /sys/media/audio/notifications and with system write permissions on root explorer...however unable to play the files or select them for the phone...please help...thanks
RESOLVED ON OWN...can make the same media directory structure on the SDCARD and reboot and nexus recognizes.
I just joined the realm of changing roms on my GS3. The thing I am missing now is that awesome whistle notification sound. How can I get this back? Thanks
Download this unzip it and put S_Whistle.ogg in /system/media/audio/notifications with a file explorer, reboot phone and you should have it back.
Download the original ROM from here, extract it, find your whistle, then copy it to the /sdcard/Notifications folder and it should be available for selection.
EDIT : got beaten on this one... but the end result is the same.
Thanks for the links. Got the file but it appears that you cannot write it to the system folder section you specified. I was able to add it to the internal sdcard in the media/audio/notifications
Thanks again

Click to collapse
The system folder is write protected, you should be able to change it in your file explorer. Another root is to make the three folders Ringtones, Alarms, Notifications on your sdcard and put the sounds in there and reboot and they should show up.
