Custom rom OTA

Guys, hope someone close to our beloved devs can inform them about this good news, finally we can do OTA for custom rom.
As HOX development is so rapid and updates coming out daily,I think this is a very good way to update our phone.
Hope the "no S-off" would not be an obstacle.

go to settings > about phone > which build number do you have? if you have the .42 or .58 then you can root your phone with SuperOneClick, it's quite simple
Have just checked and its build number 42

If you unlock it, you can just install root from recovery in custom kernel.

The correct section is q&a and I don't know how to move it
Is your phone's bootloader unlocked? If it is then there is an ics rom called cm9.

And if you didn't unlock your bootloader then you can follow this guide

If you have custom recovery then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25618828 and download the rom first

In fact, only a mod can move a thread.
If you want the latest ROM, you have 2 choices : cm10 (benjamingwynn - modpunk/oliver - kantry123) or cm10-mod.
You can also try some Paranoid android or MIUI ROMs. I won't give you all the links, they are all in the Wildfire S Android Development section.

Second, I think you should update your radio. It's 03M. Updating radio can improve battery life and all as I heard.

flashing roms won't change your radio.
for changing radio you have two ways:
if you are s-on,
you need to create goldcard, lock bootloader and flash whole ruu
if you are s-off,
you need just radio image and place it in sdcard in hboot menu.

I updated mine with just the PG76IMG. Created goldcard, locked bootloader and just placed PG76IMG on the SD card and it worked

S-off and unlocked bootloader are 2 different things. You can only S-off if you have,XTC clip and unlocking bootloader can be done in htcdev.com
This is the link to the latest radio. Good luck ask me if you have questions

Look in the orinial android development threads. If its not there then it most likely doesn't exist.
