but I am now running a rooted ICS 4.0.3 ROM
on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 WiFi and it is AWESOME!

Even though Camera and Voice Search not working yet, between the ICS speed, smoothness, new desktop,lockscreen,Gallery & Email improvements in ICS, I've already decided I prefer this ICS Alpha V1.1 over HC3.2
Unfortunately, this "taste" of ICS has created an even worse hunger for ICS on our E4GT. On the positive side, it will be something to look forward to in 2012.
Two weeks from now I'll bet at CES and maybe Samsung will surprise me by having ICS on a Galaxy S2 at their booth.

I'm sorry, but not many people are going to even try a defective rom. Until all of the bugs are worked out, I refuse to use anything of the sort. Especially since the official Samsung roms are so excellent.

U r talking about mini 2...i am shocked to know about galaxy chat and Ace Plus...two low-graphic phones....if they can get jb...then w should be also in the list...anyway samsung knows better...i think this phone was not much popular among the people...and its sales were low...that might be the problem

My point exactly! And those new stock JB firmware's gonna help our devs in getting us to CM10 faster (I hope).
Let's just continue supporting our devs guys. As far as Samsung is concerned, we're on our own

don't think like that.. for what if we have phone that has many bugs.. and then we get stress to our phone because of ROMs with bugs..

Well you do have a point there Ivan,
but still, if i see how they made ICS possible for our phone,
i'm quite sure, after a while, JB will also come, and bugs wil possibly be solved in the future.

yes.. hope like that.. yeah I'm running on CM9 too.. maybe the reason why SGW doesn't updated:
-SGW has only one version
others are the second with a little upgraded hardware..
-SGW: 1.4 GHz - Single Core
SGAce 2: 1.6 GHz - Dual Core - 800MHz each..
SGW and SGAce 2 has only 200MHz difference.. for what they upgrade ours? people will think to just buy the Ace 2 (for now)
-or this is an experimental mid range device.. SGW is the first SAMSUNG Galaxy mid range device that has a good graphics and quite good processor.. *THEY WANT TO SEE HOW'S THE MARKET AFFECT*

I think the main problem in Samsung's point of view for SGW is neither our CPU nor GPU, but the amount of RAM, maybe you guys didn't notice that most of the devices(even with a worse CPU & GPU) which will receive the update are having more than 512MB RAM
all has their alternatives right.. like acro.. he can compress the system memory to smaller.. but yes like ypu said.. maybe our device will be more lags.. but apps will be better.. as long as they know how to manage their apps..

I asked to Samsung Portugal if Samsung Galaxy W will receive any more updates. The assistant told me that only after all the 2.3.6 firmware updates be released, Samsung will release updates to our (and other) phone.

But mini 2 has 512mb ram, 800mhz cpu, adreno 200, HVGA sceen, 176 ppi, 3mp camera with vga recording and no secondary camera also no flash.
Galaxy w- 1.4GHz -512mb ram, adreno 205, WVGA screen with sharp 254ppi, 5mp camera with hd 720p video recording and vga front camera and it also has flash.
This clearly tells that OUR SGW is hell better than Galaxy mini 2. But it seems most of the devices receiving jelly bean update has NFC even galaxy mini 2. But galaxy beam does not have NFC and it still does receive a jelly bean update. It would be very nice if SAMSUNG gives us a DAMN jelly bean update. If there is cm10. No problem.

Yeah i noticed that one 2. It can't be a hardware problem. It is most likly that the galaxy w didn't sell that well and the market is to small. The only thing we could do, would be to start a petition and send it to samsung OR start developing ^^, but since i'm pretty new to this level of programming, this option kinda falls through for me^^
Do any of you know if a petition like this ever worked? I know there was one for ICS and the galaxy S, but as probably most of you know samsung just released a statement saying that it wasn't fit for ICS.

This is not true for the mini ii. It will be interesting to see how jelly bean is running on this device.
I message samsung and this is their reply:

Comparing the S3 with the S2 what features did the update came with?
Is the camera have some improvements like the S3 or its still the same?

Well camera is same... Now we have S3 motion... Also there are Lockscreen shortcuts, not a lot of bloat, and phone runs very smooth...
hey i have been having some wifi problems with CM 10.1.2 Aka Android 4.2.2 Jelly BEAN. anywz i have decided to go back to STOCK CUSTOM TOUCHWIZ 4.1.2 and it has been smooth, stable no problems but i like CM on 4.2.2, since Samsung is realising 4.3 for Galaxy S3 next month and 4.4 is already here but 4.2.2 is the most stable and since Sammy will not give out 4.2.2 for Galaxy S3 i had to try with CYANOGENMOD, AOKP, PARANOID, CARBON ROMS to get the feel of 4.2.2 on my S3 which i will never for touchwiz (FU SAMMY, SO MAD THAT I WANNA GO AND PUNTCH SOME SAMSUNG OFFICIALS)
the point is, idont wanna lose TOUCHWIZ and latest stable 4.2.2 with CM so how i can dual boot this two roms, i have read and searched and the only thing that came up was for the old HTC phones like Desires HD, S, Z, EVOS, INCREDIBLES, INSPIRE, MYtouch, Nexus One, Sensation, Thunderbolt and HTC'S stuck on 2.3, or ice cream sandwich, the International Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 right here on XDA, the international Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100, I9100G, the SGS 2 EPIC 4G sprint variant if am correct and some Moto droids plus
wats the big difference or hype that the international can dual boot or can do better than the American Variants???????????????????
anyone finds how to dual boot on the Galaxy S3 I747 PLEASE REPLY ASAP, am sure there's some file, answer or something hidden on this XDA forums that can help me, its just too hard to dig up hundreds of pages just to find a software or programme or app that can do this

It didn't work very well with the Galaxy Nexus. Back in the ICS days a few ROMs and ROM devs played with it, releasing builds with it. Not sure if anyone has worked on it in a while for the GN, I know some tablet ROMs have played with it.
