Battery App - Sprint LG Optimus G

Has anyone noticed since 4.1.2 ZVB the battery wont show all the stats?
On 4.0.4 I could use beautiful widgets battery shortcut and it would show this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But on 4.1.2 it only gives me this one, which sucks...
I have tried going to settings>power saver>battery use
as well as shortcuts like beautiful widgets.
Does anyone know a way to get that other view to work?

That sucks. The Beautiful Widgets shortcut was this only way I've seen to get to that view. I'll see what I can figure out once I get the OTA. I just don't have the time to mess with flashing ROMs right now.

Try adding a Nova or Apex activity shortcut as shown in the video, you then just click on the graph to get where we want. Hopefully you're using one of these launchers and this works for JB too. It works on ICS at least.

I loved that battery usage view as well, but now it's gone. I still have it on my xoom which is stock and running 4.1.2. Hopefully we can find a way to bring it back without launchers.

To me it looks like it has to do with your launcher. Have you tried using a different one, or just to stock one? It may be an option somewhere in the settings since it changes position when you rotate the phone.

Home screen horizontal?

So i just got a car mount of my Epic 4G Touch and I would like the home screen icons, etc, to show in a horizontal format when its mounted horizontally,. Seems pretty basic and i swear my old HTC Hero worked this way. Is there an option im missing?
I believe the og epic did it because it had the slide out keyboard and it was built into the launcher. However sinnce we don't have the keyboard it wont rotate. Best suggestion is to use a different launcher or I believe Samsung had a car dock mode app that you can probably Google or pull from your old epic

I never had an epic before this, i had a Hero, which obviously didnt have a keyboard. But it did work horizontally. I will look into the car dock mode option, thanks for the tip.

Ah, phone already has a driving mode. While it wont do horizontal for the home screen afaik, it will go horizontal and do what i want through voice. That should be good enough i guess.
install a different launcher

Issues with installing tether

I get an error stating that I do not have all kernels available to run the wifi tether.
My device is rooted and I am running wifi_tether_v3_1-pre110.apk which is the most current build.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Im running v3.1 pre108 and it starts fine and looks good but none of my other devices see it. After looking in the log files i find this

The Motoblur UI has taken a lot of flak for being slow, cumbersome and “downright useless” as a friend of mine succinctly put to me some time ago. It seems that things have changed for the better, at least with the Android 4.0 version of the overlay from Moto, and if you want proof of that claim, you can try now to know for yourself.
Pulled from a Droid RAZR, the launcher is now ready to be installed on any non-Motorola device, with a caveat that you should be running ICS. It has already been said to work on the HTC Sensation and other devices and there is also a choice of two launchers with different homescreen styles, so take your pick.
Head to the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577123 thread to grab the APKs and to get some specific instructions on how to get the UI on to your Android device.

[Q] Touch Wiz and battery life

What is Touch Wiz and why is it a heavy burden on my new Tab S battery?
What will happen if I understand install it?
Touchwiz is on stock samsung roms. Its a skin that samsung puts on their devices. You cant install it. The only way to remove touchwiz is to install an asop rom. Battery life is fine on touchwiz for me.
Is this normal?

Yes! You can change your homescreen launcher. It looks like the toucchwiz launcher is drainingyour battery a bit. Id suggest you use nova launcher
The second day I had my tablet, I saw the same sort of battery profile. On subsequent days, everything was fine. When I saw the drain, I immediately tried Nova, which I used for years on other devices, but it didn't look right to me on the S8.4. I went back to the stock TouchWiz launcher, adjusted the UX thing on the far left window to be minimal (calendar only) and battery life has been fine since.
Good luck and give it a few days to settle before getting too worried.
