[Q] Htc audio problem - HTC One X

hi all... i have a big problem with my htc.... i've rooted my phone and i've put the blade 6.0 after that the audio stoped working... i can do calls and i can hear when others call me i can't hear music without my headphone and i'm a bit nervous... now i've tried putting the revolutionary hd rom but thing didn't changed.... can someone help me please? :crying: :crying:

Did you flash boot.img?

to be honest i quite don't remember if i did that... do you think it's that the problem?
thanks for replying

Yes of course it is the problem!!
Why would I have asked if it wasn't?

oh i'm ashamed right now.... well i'd like to install a new rom te revolution hd 19.2 with the boot img o.1 i've already have clockwork on my device.... what do i have to do first? do i have to flash the boot first and after that the rom with clockwork?
thanks for replying

The order does not matter.

one last question the ruu doesn't matter right? because i have cid : h3g_001

Wait what? Ruu?
Ruu is an utility to get you a stock rom so you probably don't want that.
As for the cid: does not matter provided that your hboot version is higher than 1.28.

Wifi stuck at "turning on"

Hey guys, can you solve my wifi issue? Two days ago I had successfully rooted my phone using HTV All-in-one kit and went on to install a custom rom(I backed up my stock rom using clockworkmod recovery before) . To my horror, the camera and audio did not work in the custom rom. I could not take pictures or listen to music via headset so i decided to restore the backup i made using Clockworkmod. It failed trice, but manage to restore at 4th try. So everything was back to normal, got the stock rom and camera to work, Except for the audio and wifi. I can't hear music via headset and my wifi just keep saying "turning on" and after a long time waiting, it says "error".
Can you guys tell what went wrong? How can I go about getting my audio and wifi to work again? I really need you help! Thank you guys in advance!

Did you flash the correct boot.IMG?
I'm not sure if I did, but I flashed the stock kernel found in this "myONEv RC5.0 FX" thread. Is that why I getting this problem? The wifi worked fine in all the custom roms I've used.

The kernel in myONEv's ADD-ON is a modified kernel or an old stock kernel, it won't work for your nandroid backup unless the modules is changed too.
What you need is the real stock kernel or use one from KISS kernel thread that is meant for Sense ROM.
try KISS Kernel for Sense... its impressively fast on the myONEv
Sorry for being a noob, but where can I get the kernel you have stated? I can't seem to find one...
Search in the Dev Section... KISS Kernel, and make sure you download the one for the Sense edition, not the CM9 edition
Thank you guys for replying! I finally got both my audio and wifi to work after switching to another kernel from Titanium-KISS thread. Thanks once again!
congratulations~
Just reboot it a few times..and try...and CM9 is way better

sorry dude, but comparing between one custom rom and another is not really wise and only leads to never ending arguments

I have written this for multiple times but here again:
Recovery can NOT restore boot images cause of S-ON
So when you "switch" ROMS it is NOT enough to just use recovery
You must also always flash the correct kernel with either fastboot or AIO
So you CANNOT switch to a different ROM using the device only
you always need a pc too

thanks for the help bro,
I'm currently flashing orio, I think I tried ARHD not sure though but I use the super wipe.zip from ARHD. could this be the problem?
thanks aging guys
It worked for 15 min then the the problem came back, really annoying
I think it may be related to HBoot 1.31 as I've read of other cases. Not ideal and I hope it isn't, as you'd have to wait for a later firmware in order to fix the problem

I dont think so, the problem existed when i first flashed ordroid with Hboot 1.28
You'd could try Renovate 10.1, with the latest kernel. The kernel link is available in the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705334

Hi again,
today I flashed ARHD, problem still there.
I think its acting worse on the ARHD, when I booted I connected to my wifi, no internet connection. Thats unusual because on other roms I get the internet for like 10 min then there would be no connection just the wifi connected. ARHD internet comes for 2 min disconnect -.- really annoying
could it be the boot img?
I used ARHD fast boot file he provided to flash the boot.img before the rom, in other roms I type in CMD
fastboot erase cache
fastboot boot (i drag the boot img here)
then I go to recovery
wipe
install
thats all... is there something wrong im doing?
thanks

just thinking out loud......did you try another rom, JB or ICS....so that we know if it might be kernel related !
But it's weird how touch in recovery also doesn't work. Recoveries don't run on top of kernels afaik.

he PMed me, i also suggested to reflash the firmware.zip....i had a similar thing only the guy lost signal and data, i suggested to redownload the firmware and reflash it.....guess what.....problem solved in his case. that's why i think it might be the firmware because when it is rom related the recovery should turn up right. and it all starts with the hboot.....my guess
My touch was working in Clock Work Mod before I did the Hboot 1.39 update(Had Hboot 1.12 before)
Hey Guys, I have the same issue. reverted back to stock for official OTA after the update (now on H boot 1.39 HTC_023) unlocked and flashed recovery. No touch. Didn't bother trying a Rom.
Ok so asked another member for help who had the problem he said
"Yea mate we all have that problem, Something to do with the kernal and driving the touch screen. It only works with the new H boot and STOCK rom. Recovery & any custom rom you loose touch.... I had to restore my factory sense rom too.
Will I have to restore to stock or something?
For now only the stock Rom works fine with regards to touch.
You can get a nandroid backup of stock rom for your cid here if you don't have one backed up.

Try flashing Android Revolution HD after a full wipe. If that doesn't work I think it must be a hardware problem, it might have just coincidentally manifested itself while you were doing this flashing.

[q] omg please help!! :'(

Guys, the problem is whatever rom i flashed and how many ever times i flashed the same rom i cant access my onscreen buttons( i cant do anything without it ), notification pannel, i cant download anything in play store( stucks in installing.........). please help guys :/
When i connect to my computer i can see my device in " my computer " but there is no files in there its empty. and the firmware version i get by clicking properties is 1.0
Please help guys :'( . i dont know what to do. is this because of kernel? or firmware?
Is there anyway you can rewrite this ? I don't understand your problem. You have left out important info..like, what firmware are you on, what have you done to the device, your recovery, any unusual problems with your recovery ? It might be a very simple fix such as reflashing a RUU or partition-fixer.zip. rephrase what you are trying to say, and I'll see what I can do for you
Strange

i got 1 question , whenever i change the rom the kernel changes to that rom right? like for gpe android l rom it changes to gpe kernel.
Anyway thank you for your concern
