Hello Guys,
my name in Xarlond, I'm italian (so sorry for my bad english) and I follow this forum for some time, although it is the first time I have a question.
I'd like to know how I can disable this, useless for me, notification from my Xperia S. At the moment I get on the rom XS B-Room 5.1 (4.0.4 based) with the kernel RaymanFX 'ELiTE - V2 and bootloader unlocked. I do not try rocking performance, but full usability and a battery that last longer, so I'm good with these things.
To increase battery life, i'm using an app downloaded from the store that disables the data connection when the screen is locked and / or when I use the wifi network, but the notification in question is really annoying.
Can you tell me how can I remove it?

And open root explorer go to System /etc /customization /settings/ com/android. Open it
U will see one folder named phone. If not create one folder named phone and giv permission like the first picture given below. And after that copy and paste the downloaded file that i gave u into the phone folder. Again giv permission to the file u pasted like the second picture given below.. Restart ur device and done..

Thanks to everyone especially those who cooked the roger's roms, Mianoism for helping and ohsaka for modding the data/time.
Works like a charm. Tested on virtudude. Didnt work on soulifes one though cause his is already modded like crazy... Looks amazing on virtudude v3 though

Hello, When I meant Hero like - i was meaning the "zoom in / zoom out" Transition Animation (on opening and closing applications - not Windows Animation). As of now, Rogers ROM has a slide in - slide out Transition Animation [even when we set to 1x in spare parts]...

Hello! I am running ckrest rom, it has ion cache and removed roger apps. I am rooted.However after i clicked on the custom.bat, my phone didnt do any action. I have adb set up and it is running.

Aight u gotta tell me one thing....in ur update.zip for ur rom...in /system/framework/ do u a cramfs file or a lot of files ?

I have a lot of .jar files and i can see the services.jar and the framework-res.apk file in my update.zip.

Yep, i have adb set up, adb remount and adb shell are running. May i know if it is possible for you to put a update.zip file instead? Thanks!, I have been facing the problem of adb push.

Hey glad 2 hear it, so it was either u weren't extracting all files in one locations, or u forgot to have adb in ur environment variables hence u had to put adb in the same folder as the bat file.
Hi guys from India...
The GPS of India ROM 3.4.3-36-1.7 for India has no gps.conf file in /system/etc
Hence I have come across this mod which is excellent and adds that file and it 100% increases the GPS applications and works smooth !

Do we just add the gps.conf file to system/etc or also the META-INF folder included in the Asia.V1.2 zip?
if you are coping the file manually, just replace it after making a backup of the original, or just edit it to add the indian NTP pool.
Originally the .zip is meant to be accessed via CWR boot menu.
desihu is right.... in Indian Froyo official release, the gps.conf is missing , hence all gps related apps like maps and camera are slow in responding. Add that file and you will feel the difference.
Actually all you need to do is add the servers for India in gps.conf : http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/in
but to add that you need to root your mobile and rooting voids warranty... is there anyway to officially add that line?

How on earth do you intend to access the system/etc folder on your device w/o rooting?
only if motorola releases a patch via OTA
Root the phone, apply the patch. unroot the phone

Motorola has already formally announced they wont even 'lift a finger' for Defy(MB525) which means no patches, no improvements, nothing. Period. Its all up to the dev community now.

I know that option.. have already done it !! but officially motorola does not want to do that inspite of such a big mistake...
does other country stock roms have such blunders of no gps.conf file in /system/etc ?

yes... you can...
if fact if you are in India... just extract the zip file of Asia and edit the gps.conf and move the india server on the first line ... save file and copy it in /system/etc folder... using Super Manager... no need to use recovery install.
reboot to take advantage of it !!

Hm..i will simply install via 2ndinit easy though 1st ill try ur way out..
Few days back i read abt ur rom can u post scrennshots on ur rom's thread ? Ill try it then...
it has a bug
after installing this zip file..after locking the the phone or on sleep mode...the screen does not actually go off...after 2 to 3 seconds it shows lockscreen again off after few seconds again on...
It was happeneing continuosly...so i flashed CM7 again whithout installing its going as good as before...
What can b cause ?

Mostly its coz of that zip nly...coz i did not install anysoftware before or after that...i installed was a theme i reflashed Cm7 and installed theme again and theres no fault in theme....so only cause is that zip...now cm7 working fine without that zip

and change the file permission to 644
well in MIUI there is direct configuration in gps settings then how to edit serves ?
i have come across these settings in MIUI now how to edit them ?
in miui theres GPS status then GPS configuration and it shows three boxes
1st NTP server address : ive written in.pool.ntp.org
2nd SUPL server address : which is supl.google.com
3rd SUPL server port : 7276
now what edit in this pls help

Before I begin, to say, share and help anyone, I want to state that this is NOT my work.. I have not in any way made this or helped the dev in making this.. I merely stumbled upon it while browsing the xda forums.. I don't even know who made it, all I had was a link.. I want to share this with the wildfire s community.. But as always there is a catch..(every thing is not easily gettable in life..)
Requirements:
1. Cm10, jelly bean versions only..(Paranoid Android not supported..)
2. Well, if you haven't guessed it already then root explorer and root access..
3. A good brain that understands the instruction and follows them correctly..
4. if you don't come under the above criterion its best advised get Cm10........
Now, their are two ways to do this..
1. either push the zip to root via recovery or adb..
2. or use the solid explorer beta2 app to put all the required files in the correct places in root with the permission rw-r-r(644)..

Now, I will assume you knw how to flash a zip.... then the steps that have to be followed are..
1. flash the zip in recovery..(please make a backup before flashing... don't blame me later if anything happens that shud not have happend..)
2. reboot..
3. select the default launcher.. as the SecLauncher2 one..
4. remove the old launcher via sold explorer or link2sd or titanium(optional)
Voila!! u have the touchwiz launcher installed up and running..

CM 10.1 has issues on the Quincyatt sch-i717 samsung note. the hard buttons won't stop flashing. gonna be fun getting the thing out. lol
Is it possible to port touchwiz 5 weather widget for wildfire s ??
Its already there in the forum, in some other devices part.. Search for it.. U will find it... Make a global search....

and can you please tell me which phone you are using
coz for t2 ultra dual and t2 ultra zip are different
if you flash wrong zip you will end up with boot loop

I am using this mod since it's release day. Not used modified settings. Apk.
It works for me with unlocked bootloader. Don't need to lock bootloader.

Sir i have one more question, i finale successed to deodexed my rom, and i follow your steps for this. Rom but when i replace settings apk and restart my phone i dont have settings anymore... I set permissions rights..any thoughts?

you need to push settings apk in to system/Priv-app
also check if there any settings.odex file should not be there if there is one then delete and reboot

Nop there is no any.odex file..i know for pushiing and i already did that.. but when i do that and restar my phone there is no settings app..

2.Flash this MOD
3.Enable superuser mod in Xperia Xposed KK
3.download RaR file and extract it
4.Copy the file in system folder cause i can change permissons int that folder

6.reboot the phone

I had installed this vivid mod and its working perfectly on t2 ultra dual on stock odexed rom 4.4.3.
U have no need to deodexed ur rom.
