Have you clear cache? you may try to Wipe Dalvik Cache as well. Because as i know dalvik cache do store some data about the battery too.

I used CWMR and installed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190
When I power it on, it stays on a Boot Animation screen (a colorful X that glows) for an indefinite amount of time. I left it there for around an hour before giving up and restoring to my backup (rooted) Gingerbread.
Anyone know what might be my problem? Thanks.
P.S: I searched the thread, I couldn't find a solution to my problem.

I tried installing it again, this time wiping data, cache, and d.cache.
I think I missed data the first time.

i wanted to go back to stock after installing a buggy cm10
Take out battery. Insert it back, goto recovery(HOME+POWER) & select "wipe data/factory reset". This worked for me!!
Or else, try flashing it again through odin. Ensure that it's the correct firmware suitable for ur device.

U should wipe data and factory reset before and after flashing via odin.
Then it will take about 3.4 mins to start up.

I normally do a full wipe before restoring a nandroid backup. Have you tried that?
And remember, you can normally only restore the backup using the same recovery the backup was created with. Which recovery did you use to make your backup?

Yeah that could be there as well.
Clear data and cache and dalvik and system.

I do the same without problems. I would suggest you odin flash Twrp.
I think twrp is safe with darkside wipes but not cwm 6. Either way, I don't take chances and just made an auto wiper for me. I just got too used to having a zip wipe for me and it works great with the zip ordering thing in tarp. All done in one swipe.

Probably a dumb question but how do i boot into TOUCH recovery instead of normal CWM? whenever i boot into recovery it goes to the normal version and i have to install the touch zip in order to use that one,i know their has to be a better way to do this...
Why not just use twrp instead?

tried installing it and then couldnt get into recovery at all now.. i got my rom on,but whenever i try n install any gapps the rom either doesnt boot up at all and i have to reinstall it without it,or like now i cant even get into recovery.. i was using the touch cuz it was the only version working for me...
Its sounds like ur not doing it right. I would just pick up a flashable zip of either recovery and flash it. Works for me i wipe cache n dalvik flash and wipe again idk if u have to do all that but thats what i do and i have no issues
