Ability to change amount of ZRam and Swappiness level would be nice.
Brutally murdering someone I met on XDA with a sharpened iPhone and some semtex butt plugs just because they asked me to using Tapatalk 2
Downloaded and testing now. Will report any bugs found. Thank you for sharing your work!
By the way, the screen calibration settings only apply to perseus kernel or are there any other kernels that allows this feature to be adjusted via your app?

It should work with any kernel with the same patch, in any case I have only seen Perseus that has it.

The latest stable version of Trickster MOD has been released with GS3 support https://plus.google.com/u/0/116709542966452959662/posts/VYrH9DRss2b
Hi. May I ask something? How do the values get aplied ? Does the app write a script to init.d or does they get aplied at startup though the app ?
I ask because I use STweaks for most of the settings and only change governor settings with this app because STweak don't give me full controll and now I ask myselfe if they interfere somehow ?
Thank you!

It's applied through the app at startup. So it will get conflicted with STweak or other apps. I will update the app for GS3 but that is until I can find time and manage to borrow a GS3 so I don't know when.

But isn't STweaks get applied earlier that Trickster MOD?
Trickster seems to have a problem when applying settings regarding master sequence and other screen calibration settings.
+1 chroma setting turns off by itself
We can only fix stuffs if we have a GS3 and unfortunately we can only borrow one again sometimes in September, so things will have to wait. Sorry.
Settings apply on every reboot?

BAMF is now using private signing keys. This means other system mods from other devs will not work with this rom, most likely, unless signed with our key. This was a necessary evil to make the rom more secure. It will help prevent a malicious application from gaining system control and getting access to sensitive data. Themers and modders that work with the team can contact us for these private keys. We cannot allow for public availability for obvious reasons, however. For those we do give the keys to, if they are leaked, we will simply change the key and give nobody access. So please respect our wishes to keep them private. The signing of this rom and apps MAY require a wipe to properly install.
Changelog, kernel:
----------
Overclocked to 1.35ghz, with stock speed steps.
Defaults to 1.2ghz
Tweaked deadline and CFS
charging while off works (Thanks Fabolous, Bixie)

Before I wipe everything to try this, is there any control provided over the search widget on the home screen? I know I'm in the minority, but I really like having it and don't want to give it up. I'd flash a mod over it to bring back the stock launcher, but by the sound of things, it looks like I can't with these private key files.

I added your problem to the FAQ on Play Store. TBH I don't know why they changed it, that's just too weird, as that property designate the platform.
App has great potential. Looking forward to recommending this to people wanting a free & easy smart dimming (Tegra 3 PRISM) toggle. Hopefully that version comes soon
Thanks for the hard work.

- Improve init.d detection on CM based ROM

Hey, thanks for this nice app! Looks very promising. I can do more in Trickster than Trinity Kernel Toolbox, and I paid $3 for it Gonna follow this, and hope to donate after I get all setup.
Current version will crash with Nexus 7 franco kernel r9 due to his sysfs implementation. I fixed it in current code but I'm asking franco why he did it that way.
Nice app! I've been looking for a way to get my "SmartDimmer" to stay disabled after reboots (with stock kernel). Unfortunately, my settings don't seem to be saved after reboots (none of them) on my Nexus 7.
Is this a known issue or it something else going on?
Thanks!

Hi bigeyes0x0,
Is it possible to support the thermal control stuff from teaMSeven's kernel?
Link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307371
THERMAL CONTROL HOWTO:
==================
First have a look on the following folder:
sys/module/msm_thermal/parameters
now have a look at these 2 files:
limit freq
limit_temp_degC
In limit_freq u can adjust on which freqs it should fall back while throttling
In limit_temp_degC u can adjust the tempreature limit for throttling
EXAMPLE:
=======
#limit_freq
1458000 1242000 702000 384000
#limit_temp_degC
55,60,70,80
That means: it throttles to 1458Mhz @ 55 degrees , 1242MHz @ 60 degrees, 702MHz @ 70 degrees , 384MHz @ 80 degrees
Click to collapse
The path to the thermal parameters is also used by Flar2's kernel (ElementalX).
It would be great!
Thanks

Just did it for the latest beta, it should be available soon to beta testers. Check our community.
Hi,
Great!
Thanks a lot to take my request in consideration bigeyes0x0, will test
I would really love to be able to save all settings to a profile. Then one could have one for performance and one for normal use and one for saving energy.
I haven't been able to boot and get settings to stick. Tried different settings on start time from 5-30 sec etc but it keeps resetting.
Therefore a profile for everything would feel very nice so one don't need to reset everything if settings would be resetted..

I made this little app mainly for myself but I'm happy to share it with the xda community.
What is it?
Xscaler is a display resolution changer for the 1st gen Nexus7. It scales down the display resolution from the native 800x1280px to 640x1024px making games like N.O.V.A. 3 or Asphalt 8 run noticeably smoother.
NOTE: this app requires root, busybox and Android 4.2 or newer (older versions are not supported).
The UI is pretty basic but does the job just fine.
Hope this will be useful to someone.
Enjoy!
Donations are welcome.
Version 1.3+ has a new version notification within the "About" screen. If a new version is available just tap on the notification to read the changelog and download the update.
Changelog:
v1.5
- Added custom display resolution option (EXPERIMENTAL)

v1.4
- Added Android 4.2 support
v1.3
- Fixed System UI corruption
- New version notification (within the "About" screen)
- In-app update installation

v1.2
- Minor bug fixes
- UI cleanup

I can confirm this works PERFECTLY on the Nexus 7 2013 runnng CM10.2
I have a little request? Can you add can option to set your own resolution? I would like to see an option for 1280x720. The nexus 5 is going to have some insane PPI and I was wondering if this resolution will be supported to reduce battery drain. Most will be hardpressed to find a PPI higher than 300 worth it..
Custom resolution option is on my to-do list... I just need to find the time to add it...
Ok, added the custom display resolutions option... it's "hidden" for now because it still needs some fine-tuning so I consider it an experimental feature.
To set your custom res long-tap on "Scale Resolution" and then input your desired display resolution.
edit: double post
@domg73 can you please share the command you are using for scaling on 4.3?

Hello , thx for the app , i love how informative it is , tho there's only one issue for me , i can't seem to find screen settings , or the app still doesn't support this ?
Hey Guich, nice job so far on the app. I checked it out, it's going to be a big contender among kernel control apps.

Yeah sorry I should have phrased that better, I meant to say that the the developer has done a nice job with it and also you for helping out with it.
You're lucky to get to be involved in the early stages. I was very fortunate to become involved with Cedric the developer of Android Tuner as the app was being designed, it just happened the timing was perfect as I was learning to build and tweak kernels while Cedric was building the app. We helped each other, he taught me a lot and also I was able to provide input on sense specific tweaks and commits that he wasn't familiar with, and my interaction with the community and general support helped him to be able to focus on development of the app.
It's great to hear you're getting to provide input and watch feedback and also see ideas come to life. Keep us updated on the app and learn all you can, it will pay off in unexpected ways.
