You should check the ro.product.board in your build.prop
I dont know why the ROM maker change your device identity. Manually revert back to original value will work.
Code:
ro.product.board=grouper

I added your problem to the FAQ on Play Store. TBH I don't know why they changed it, that's just too weird, as that property designate the platform.
App has great potential. Looking forward to recommending this to people wanting a free & easy smart dimming (Tegra 3 PRISM) toggle. Hopefully that version comes soon
Thanks for the hard work.
New version pushed to market, should take sometime for Google to refresh their servers
Version 1.2.256 (20120918)
- Refresh values on apply
- About dialog turn to tab
- Add FAQ and Discussion Forum for each device in About tab
- Nexus 7: Add CPUQuiet, Smart Dimmer and GPU 3D scaling controls
- Support 4 step OC for GPU on GNex Anarky Kernel
- Voltage control now has a dialog to set offset for all levels
- Improve init.d detection on CM based ROM
- Remember last tab across sessions
- Fix FSYNC apply derp and Touch wake delay duplicate
Hey, thanks for this nice app! Looks very promising. I can do more in Trickster than Trinity Kernel Toolbox, and I paid $3 for it Gonna follow this, and hope to donate after I get all setup.
Current version will crash with Nexus 7 franco kernel r9 due to his sysfs implementation. I fixed it in current code but I'm asking franco why he did it that way.
Nice app! I've been looking for a way to get my "SmartDimmer" to stay disabled after reboots (with stock kernel). Unfortunately, my settings don't seem to be saved after reboots (none of them) on my Nexus 7.
Is this a known issue or it something else going on?
Thanks!

Read the FAQ, under certain condition it won't work, and unfortunately it's not on our end to fix.

So it is an APP that makes changes to the kernel right?
it is not like those Kernels topics where you gotta use CWM and etc.
correct?

Only tested a few of the settings, but the ones I tested are applied correctly.
Are you releasing the source as well? So others may take a peek and learn...
Works really good, better than Command.
Can you bring the features of Nstools?
Great work. I would even buy that app from market. Can you add features from NStool to get rid of it (not really necessary, just asking)? And can you add a feature to disable / enable call volume script in unit.d?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
could you add features like live oc, cpu frequency, cpu governor, i/o scheduler, BLN, blink, and other nstools features? we could all use a little simplification, right? besides, nstools is always running in the background consuming resources. i think init.d script is more efficient. could you consider adding this features in the next version?
Thanks amazing work!

Amazing work!!! I love it !
Great job. All working well so far at my end on AOKP build 39 and Devil3 0.72.
This is definetly a great improvement to the kernel.
Working well on B39 and Devil3_0.72. Is it possible to make a swap setup there too? It'd be a lot easier than figuring it all out :/.
Awesome. Thanks.
Thank you for your awesome work! Is it possible that bt kill doesn't stick? It's meant to be like this? If the description is too long, there should be another line so that it can be fully read. One more thing(stupid question): Is 56 or 60Hz faster? And to what was it set before we got the option to choose it?

it was 60 hz, but 56 hz should save some power without noticable difference, but i still need to know, if the switch really is working, and if not, why

At the moment only those settings stick after reboot which are handled by DerTeufels kernel. Also some layout enhancements, like multi line infotext, are planned.
For the next version i'm planning to generate an init script which sets the settingsaftre reboot.
Also i'll implement ActionBar tabs to hadle diferent settings, like BLN, volumes, voodoo color, etc.
Thanks for all the positive respond
Good work on this. Much more usable than CC & more inclusive. If you could add governor/oc settings then it would be all there. .

Honestly the Nav bar keys you used look glitched, even if that's how they're supposed to look. You're going to get a lot of complaints about this because really, they look more defective than stylish. Thanks for the zip though.

________________ FAQ
will it work on kernel X
It is made to work on stock kernel. It might work on kernels which are close to stock. I will however try to find a way to make it as compatible as possible. I'm going to assume that you can safely try this mod on your kernel (but don't enable set-on-boot) worst case scenario is a reboot.
does this consume battery
Short answer - Maybe.
Long answer - this might bring some drain, some users report quite a big battery drain some not, I will address this issue in some time. Check yourself how much an issue it is for you. Also this change from device to device so there is no short answer (look up)
will it break my touchscreen
Short answer - No
Long answer - Digitizer is not mechanical so it shouldn't break. The same mod works for more then 2 years on my Galaxy Nexus and it never lost a bit of it's responsiveness
why do I have to pay
Why did you pay for your phone? You did save a few bucks on the phone which was cheap. Now is your chance to make those savings worthy
if I want to marry you where can I find you?
Oh... this question meant to go somewhere else ;P And I'm taken.

Have you bought a kernel app (trinity, Franco, glados) for the gn? Did you have to re-buy for the n4? Your tapatalk or xda app, you buy them for every phone..?
Was the question so invalid? Is the difference between the gn & the n4 the same as your pc & your MacBook..?
Your logic breaks bones..

I would just like to say that it does not work on cm10.1 nightly 1-12-13 w/ Franco 32 kernel (probably because of kernel). I'm not complaining since op clearly says might not work on 3rd party kernels but would just like to inform others who have similar setup.

Haha, can't argue with that one. The kernel app is applicable here, but not tapatalk or xda. The forums apps work identically on any device, you actually pay for the tablet version even after you own the phone version. The kernel companion apps are almost useless alone but are reliant on custom kernels usually by the same developer, which is where the majority of the development time goes and is unique for each device. With that being said, that exact fact makes the kernel apps an awesome deal.
Even with all the above, this us an instant buy for me. I know how much work hours into this type of modification. I'll gladly pay for the ability to use slide2wake on any kernel.....

Guys, we don't know how much work he put into this. For all we know this could have taken a lot of hackery to get it done. It's his app and he's free to set the price to whatever he wants (though obviously nobody would buy it if it was like $15).
Trickster MOD app is a tweaking tool to change various settings included in your kernel and other tweaks to your phone. It was made by me and my friend.
From now, GS3 Int (m0) is official supported

Ability to change amount of ZRam and Swappiness level would be nice.
Brutally murdering someone I met on XDA with a sharpened iPhone and some semtex butt plugs just because they asked me to using Tapatalk 2
Downloaded and testing now. Will report any bugs found. Thank you for sharing your work!
By the way, the screen calibration settings only apply to perseus kernel or are there any other kernels that allows this feature to be adjusted via your app?

It should work with any kernel with the same patch, in any case I have only seen Perseus that has it.

The latest stable version of Trickster MOD has been released with GS3 support https://plus.google.com/u/0/116709542966452959662/posts/VYrH9DRss2b
Hi. May I ask something? How do the values get aplied ? Does the app write a script to init.d or does they get aplied at startup though the app ?
I ask because I use STweaks for most of the settings and only change governor settings with this app because STweak don't give me full controll and now I ask myselfe if they interfere somehow ?
Thank you!

It's applied through the app at startup. So it will get conflicted with STweak or other apps. I will update the app for GS3 but that is until I can find time and manage to borrow a GS3 so I don't know when.

But isn't STweaks get applied earlier that Trickster MOD?
Trickster seems to have a problem when applying settings regarding master sequence and other screen calibration settings.
+1 chroma setting turns off by itself
We can only fix stuffs if we have a GS3 and unfortunately we can only borrow one again sometimes in September, so things will have to wait. Sorry.
Settings apply on every reboot?

sweet... gonna try tomorrow..
Woohoo! Installed it this morning as soon as I saw it. I hadn't even gotten out of bed. Will be using it every day.
Is the Faux Sound included or just supported? Do I need to install anything? First time I've ever looked into that.
Already modified the CPU settings to run all four cores all the time, and underclocked a little.

I suggest using kernel tuner from play store for over clocking etc etc
As for the faux sound. You need to buy the premium app for flux sound by faux123 from play store

LMAO I'm already at work. I haven't spent any time with AOSP for a while, I'll dive in again soon.
Dammit, I just finished switching back to stock, now this comes out. Time for yet another nandroid...
Edit: So I installed this with the latest PAC nightly and when I go into recovery I'm not able to see any of my storage, I can only browse through root folders, no files show up at all, I go to Mount and there's nothing listed...

Wow, is there a way to disable double touch 2 unlock? If I had my device in my bag, it wake up unlock and do crazy things. And it kills battery life for me when display always on in bag.
Regards
Ported from my Xperia ZL with wireless data (it's magic)

I guess you mean the XZ-Kernel
Is there any way to set the doubletap speed?
Like @SafiXS said, we don't want the phone wake in pocket or bag so I guess it is better to set the doubletap sensitivity.
This DoubleTap2Wake is awesome, reduce the use of power button to keep it living longer
Glad you guys like it . I meant xz kernel. No methods to adjust sensitivity as far as I know

Tell me, please, how can I return to PAC kernel after flashing MEOW? Only using back-up or there is some other way?
