Before flashing, I firstly Divided my SD card by this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
I was prepareing to flash Xperia T this ROM so I had flash this Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647665&highlight=ktg+kernel
And then I flashed this FTF: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023504
When I starting to flash this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746508
And I get through the Recovery......
After I wiped four things...
The SD card said:
"E:Can't open /sdcard/4.0.4_Xperia T v7.1.0 Rom.zip
Installstion aborted."
I tried everything I can, including format my sdcard.
Not only this ROM had a problem, but EVERY ROM had the same problem...
It's very urgent...
Yesterday I tried it at least 10 hours.
I hope someone can help me with this...
(Please don't criticize my English...)
Fash ics ftf. Boot it. Now go to settings and format your sd card.

So you mean I need to flash ICS FTF again, and reboot, and format SD card...
Is that correct?

I want to unlock bootloader and install doomlord v14 kernel, (i know it's capable whit my stock rom) because i want overclock my Xperia, and i need the "2 way record patch".
So, it's possible? If i unlock bootloader and change kernel i lost my data/apps/settings/files/contacts?
Sorry for my English... I'm italian...

No, unless you wipe/factory reset your phone.
So, after unlocking bootloader i must follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...oMKernel [Rel:v14][Dt:01/MAY][FW:.42/.58/.62]
when i changed the kernel, is necessary wipe data/do factory reset? I can wipe only cache and davlik, right?

I delete nAa_cwm folder from my sd card and tried to reboot in recovery mode by pressing volume down at boot... I still have a old recovery!
... So confused...

Hello.
I have an Arc LT15a, rooted, locked bootloader, cwm. I flashed the official 4.0.3 for Arc S using FlashTool, and my Model number reads as Arc S LT18i.
Since 4.0.4 is coming out for Arc, I would like to use that version when it is released.
1. Do I have to go back to GB (.42) in order to get the 4.0.4 Arc update?
2. Can I do this using a GB cwm recovery (I prefer this method)?
3. Can I do this using a GB .ftf and FlashTool?
4. Will baseband, kernel, Model number be back to default?
Thanks!!
Just download the ftf and flash ia flashtool!

Do you know if my old GB CWM backup will work the same as flashing some ftf?
Sure it will work good, but flash the kernel separately and also baseband if required!
Dont forget to format data, wipe cache partition n dalvik before restoring!

I am posting to update anyone wondering the same thing.
I can confirm what gire.prasad said. GB CWM recovery works. But baseband 70 (from ICS) stays and there are network errors. Flashing baseband 56 separately should work.
However, I did not flash any kernel because my bootloader is locked?
I knew it would work coz I did the same thing and using GB lol ..
Yeah baseband issues might occur and are rare..
But how did you restore without flashing GB kernel?
It shouldn't work nah?
I am not sure why it worked. When going to ICS with flashtool and going back to GB with CWM, I never did anything explicitly with kernels...
I thought you can't change kernel with a locked bootloader?
Yeah you cant change kernels on locked bootloader..
Hmm puzzled!!!
Anyway, you got the thing working and thats good!

Hello guys I'm new here. Just rooted my phone last week (Sony Xperia Acro S LT26w) and i want to install CM10. I managed to install CWM recovery without unlocking my bootloader. I used this filefrom the post reply of Pims83 at this thread. I installed CWM recovery without unlocking the bootloader because everytime I try to run my LT26w into fastboot it always ends up in usb charging mode, Blue led come in like 3-5 seconds and will disappear. My question is, can I install CM10 to my locked bootloader LT26w using this method?
Nope

ok thanks bro for the guidence but now its like factory stat brand new
again i have to root, install cwm and then UHD
so i felt "E-root"is easiest for rooting
"x-parts"is easiest for CWM
and then simple onwards but upto UHD3.0.2
(still i am not sure for the cause either not wiping dalvik or unsuppoerted stock kernel for viper v5 rom please guide)
Yes you have to re root and re install cwm because the ftf file is the full stock firmware that returns phone to factory settings
For viper/UHD just copy ROM into SD, boot into CWM, wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache before installing. You cannot flash any custom kernel because you do not have an unlocked boot loader.
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium
it means dalvik cache should be wiped?
