Hi all,
Im stuck in fastboot and dont know how to proceed.
I have nozomi recovery installed and i have format & clear user data and restory factory settings, so i can't transfer a ftf to /sdcard :/
I want to instal KA SSpeed kernel and ROM, but now im confused and dont know what to do.
How do i install a ROM now?
Any kind of help would be apreciated
Can u boot into recovery? If so, mount USB storage and copy the .zip file then flash ROM.

Download stock ftf file, download ka kernel and ka rom.
1. Flash stock rom
2. Boot, transfer ka rom on your phone.
3. Fastboot, flash ka kernel
4. Boot into recovery and flash ka rom.
5. Hit that thanks below.

For some custom roms you need to flash kernels via fastboot and for this you need unlocked bootloader.
if bootloader it's locked use Google and search there is official way to unlock but you will lose warranty and drm.

First flash any kernel you want instructions will be given from where you will download like doomkernel it has inbuit recovery. Reboot into recovery choose your rom
Wipe system, chache, dalvik chache install zip from sd card
Dont flash ics rom over gb kernel or gb rom over ics kernel or it will cause bootloop

Considering you already have flashtool and your desired kernel follow this :
1) Plug in your phone in fastboot mode [S-Off, hold menu key and plug in to PC]
2) Place you .img on your desktop
3) Open up flashtool, select fastboot mode and select flash kernel and select it from the desktop
4) Once kernel is flashed un plug your device restart it open up CWM and flash desired ROM.
Hopefully i helped you out

You need to unlock your bootloader. Root is not needed at all.

Before flashing, I firstly Divided my SD card by this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
I was prepareing to flash Xperia T this ROM so I had flash this Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647665&highlight=ktg+kernel
And then I flashed this FTF: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023504
When I starting to flash this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746508
And I get through the Recovery......
After I wiped four things...
The SD card said:
"E:Can't open /sdcard/4.0.4_Xperia T v7.1.0 Rom.zip
Installstion aborted."
I tried everything I can, including format my sdcard.
Not only this ROM had a problem, but EVERY ROM had the same problem...
It's very urgent...
Yesterday I tried it at least 10 hours.
I hope someone can help me with this...
(Please don't criticize my English...)

Flash the kernel now then. If all fails flash back STOCK FTF. And start over again
I'm sure you have a STOCK FTF, if not you should find them in general section or Google search.

If its JB u want to use u must have a JB kernel. Meaning you must have an unlocked bootloader. U must then flash the .IMG via fastboot mode(blue light not flash mode green light).

ok thanks bro for the guidence but now its like factory stat brand new
again i have to root, install cwm and then UHD
so i felt "E-root"is easiest for rooting
"x-parts"is easiest for CWM
and then simple onwards but upto UHD3.0.2
(still i am not sure for the cause either not wiping dalvik or unsuppoerted stock kernel for viper v5 rom please guide)
Yes you have to re root and re install cwm because the ftf file is the full stock firmware that returns phone to factory settings
For viper/UHD just copy ROM into SD, boot into CWM, wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache before installing. You cannot flash any custom kernel because you do not have an unlocked boot loader.
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium
it means dalvik cache should be wiped?
