CWM flashable "stock recovery". - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Is it possible to create a clockworkmod flashable stock recovery to switch between the two?
I'm aware you could use odin or abd, but something CWM flashable would be so much easier.

twrp back to cwm?

i just installed twrp...whats the safest way to reinstall cwm? should i just reflash the cwm recovery tar file?
Yes, the tar file only changes up your recovery system.

I would like to know the opposite. How do I go from CWM to TWRP?
Is there a zip I can flash in CWM?
Also, why are you going back to CWM?

to get twrp just download goo manager click menu and click add open script recovery and now you have twrp to get cwm download rom manager and click instal clock work mod recovery

I have used Mobile ODIN to flash back and forth between recoveries. You can find ODIN flashable files for the different recoveries here.

Yes... Go to the twrp thread in the development section. I put a flash zip file for twrp there.

I think the easiest is to flash CWM just like anything else from within your current recovery. Takes just a second then reboot recovery and will have CWM.

[Q] where can i find a flashable zip of amon-ra recovery

Now i've installed cwm 6.0.2.7
but i want to come back to amon-ra.
I think u need to install it through adb. There is no flashable zip.

But it can be done, modifying thr zip of any other recovery with the Amon-Ra img file. Read the wiki!

Flash kernel with twrp

Hey guys,
Been trying to flash a new kernel.
According to all I gave read, I can do it in twrp, yet every time I do, it fails.
Anyone have thoughts as to why?
Note:
I do not have access to Odin so I am looking for simple and efficient.
Thanks
Rooted note2,PACman rom, twrp ver 2.4
Could you explain more?
Try twrp 2.4.2.0 or mobile odin.

I have read here one can flash a kernel through twrp just as you would flash a rom. Every time I try this process the flash fails.
Is there something I am missing?
Of does one need Odin to flash a kernel?

to flash kernel from twrp, you need kernel in flashable zip
if kernel available in tar then you have to flash with Odin
can you add link which kernel you have downloaded
So it looks like there are about 5 different ways to convert a kernel from zip to tar.
By chance any way to make a kernel from tar to zip flashable?

Help to install Simplistic Control app

I was trying to install the Simplistic Control app but I don't know how to flash the framework zip. I tried via recovery mode. Just selected "apply update from external storage", select the zip files but got the following error:
"E: Signature verification failed"
What's going on?
Thanks in advance!
Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 with stock rom rooted
Jelly Beam 4.1.2
You need to have cwm or mobile Odin to flash it
For cwm - flash philz recovery then you will able to flash it
Or
Download mobile Odin and use ota/update zip option to flash it.

Sorry for the question, but how can I flash the Philz Recovery? Via Odin?
Could you please indicate me te latest version for the N7100 (Philz Recovery)? I search (and found) but its a little bit complex for me. I just have to make sure.

[Q] Looking for CWM.zip for ATT GN 2

I am looking for a cwm.zip file, so I don't have to flash it on the phone and keep my phone recovey stock.
I am looking for the Method 1B.
Method 1B: you can find and download the update.zip by yourself, place it on the phone in /sdcard/ and boot into recovery using the 3 button method, choose the option "re-install package" TWO TIMES to load into CWM. Once again the update.zip needs to remain on the phone. DO NOT DELETE!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/ClockworkMod_Recovery
Thanks for any advice.
Please help.
I'm confused. You want to keep the stock recovery, but also want to replace it with CWM?
As said on the page that you cited:
"ClockworkMod Recovery*(CWM) is a replacement*recovery option for*Android*devices..."

you cant have stock recovery and a custom recovery on your phone at the same time...
Yes. It is a replacement. Though even if you could, I'm not sure what the benefits of stock recovery would be. If its for updates, those can be flashed with CWM anyway.
