i installed miui 3.2.8 rom on my ion before that i did backup my apps in backup & restore
but when i ported it in system/apps alas it doesn't works
so can any one extract it and upload :fingers-crossed:

I tried same, but no luck. Can you explain what and how you did it? Did you just extracted themes.apk files from zip, set permissions, and then put them in Vendor folder, As I see there are two Vendor folders, one in the root, and another one inside system folder. Those two folders must keep same theme.apk files extracted from zip, and with correct permissions? And what permissions exactly? If you actually can do some step by step explanation, it would be great. Sorry for to many questions, but my knowledge has not enough obviously

Check both folders, in one of them you'll find themes, replace all theme files in that folder (with right permissions)
One more thing, first if all, tnx for theme.
But, in a future, wright instructions for installation.
Edit : themes are in system/vendor/overlay/framework

Well i rooted my phone few days ago and installed cyanogen mod 10 on my xperia sl. Everything work fine other than all the apps was gone as well as my contact, sms and sony build-in apps (walkman, movies, gallery)
Before i started i made an backup file using sony pc companian and the file format is .dbk, but after i rooted my phone the pc companian doest seems to work so yes, i lost all my contact and etc.
Now I am just wondering is there any way for me to get back the contacts and the sony buid-in apps as mentioned above? or those build-in apps only come with the stock kernel or something? Sorry about asking noob question as I have just started rooting for the first time. :silly:
You can flash back the stock ftf.Its not necessary to flash stock kernel.If u want sony apps then forget about custom rom like cm10 based

I think u hav to reflash your rom.... bcos this mod doesn't only change system app but also bin and lib files...
so reflash your rom without wipe..
or u can try to extract SemcCameraUI.apk from your rom which u downloaded on pc and try to replace it using file browser...

I am from a different Device Forum of the XDA community and having a goal to get Xperia Lock-Screen on the 4.2.2
But As I don't have a Xperia Device, so I need your help brothers. I think, if I read carefully in OP, its Sony's Original Firmware having 4.2.2 and so I need a few files from the ROM.
Files I need are:-
1) SEMCGeneric-rs.apk (system/framework/)
2) Framework-res.apk (Same as above location)
3) android.policy.jar (system/framework/)
4) UPNXPTLock.apk (system/app)
So brothers do reply and provide me the necessary files. I will be grateful for your supports brother.

Yes but make sure that the device your that the device is compatible with the file/apk auch as it has to be HDPI and be on Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
