change the .zip to .apk and push it via terminal to the system/app/ (adb push name.apk /system/app/) if you don't know how to push the apk then put it on the sdcard and in stall it with root explorer.
on stuff like this you should use the q&a section.
Hope it helps.

[Q] Original Htc EVO wallpaper help

Hey guys, i was wondering if i can get any help with something i've been trying to work on. I recently bought an EVO for 50 bucks practically brand new, i had it flashed to metroPCS. I should've check this before leaving the store but apparently the HTC Wallpapers that came on the phone were erased. I've been able to dowload the wallpapers through forums. Now here is where i need help! I want to upload the wallpapers on my phone so that they appear in the original location, so as if never removed. I'm very new at this. Can anyone help?
I will gladly help you with this. The original wallpapers are filed away under /system/customize/resource and their formats are HTC_wallpaper_01.jpg and so on. To move your wallpapers there or any wallpapers simply do these command lines:
1. Adb remount
2. Adb push [yourwallpaper].jpg /system/customize/resource
An alternative would be to use root explorer. Copy files then navigate to s/c/resource then paste. Anyhow you need root to do this. Hope that helps.

Thanks I don't know much about rooting the phone, and honesty I'm kind of scared of ruining the phone. I downloaded an app called astro file manager from the market. I was wondering if maybe with this app I would be able to upload the wallpapers to my SD card and then move them into system/customize/resource, or is their another folder they must go in. Thank you for your help.
Astro is a nice app but unfortunately it cannot edit system files - only files on your sdcard can be edited with it. Is your phone rooted? Rooting it will not break it but instead open up great options. The only way to modify system files ie system/customize/resource is to be rooted. I can help you with that if you'd like. Once rooted you can use root explorer (root version of astro) to move said wallpapers. But most roms will include stock wallpaper.
A walkthrough would be great!!!! I am not so sure if the phone is rooted, I thought maybe the phone was rooted when it was flashed over to metroPCS. If you can and don't mind if you can walk me through it i'll go ahead and give it a shot. Once again thanks for your time and help.

[Q] Original Boot Samsung I8150

Friends, I need the original animation files Galaxy W.
Here in Brazil, operators exchange the original animation for an advertising company.
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
PowerOff.wav
PowerOn.wav
shutdown.qmg
Could someone put these original files for download?
Surely it would help very much !
Thank you for your attention and I am eagerly waiting for a response !
here's my dropbox

Or you can add this tweak to /system/build.prop

First of all you will have to have a FileExplorer which is capable of going to root. RootExplorer is one, but you will have to pay. There is also a free FileExplorer which is capable, but I forgot the name. Just search for "free root explorer android" or something similar. Or maybe somebody can give a hint.

Es file explorer.*hint*hint*.u gonna luv that..

[Q] Cant Find ROM on SD card

okay guys this is my first android phone, first time rooting, first time for all of it basically.
i have a galaxy s3 i747m that i managed to root already. now i downloaded a ROM that i want and using android file exchange( I AM ON A MAC MAYBE MY PROBLEM?)
so i found the file on my mac, opended file exchange, put the file on my SD card.
now when i go into ROM manager i go to "install ROM from SD card" but it shows me everything thats on my phone not my SD card....i looked everywhere but the file is not there and i cant figure out why its doing this.
so i thought maybe if i save it to my phone i can find it,so i did that and i found the ROM file, but now when i open the file it just shows me
META-INF/ and system/ but on my computer it shows me something called BOOT.IMG.
im guessing this is the part of the file i need since nothing else works?
let me know guys im stuck, and sorry for the long post.

DON'T touch this boot.img you taklking about.
Can you cannect phone by USB to your mac? ( sorry i'm PC guy). If you do just go open your phone with explorer in you mac then create folder on SD card "ROMS" in example , copy downloaded rom from your mac to phone this way you will know where it is. Now if you did not install CWM (clockwork mod recovery) install one from Rom Manager and reboot in it. Choose install from card and find roms folder you created and rom you copied in to folder choose this rom. Now follow instruction.
BTW. Before you start flashing roms READ more anthill you sure you know how is done for 100%. There are so many info how this should be done. READ this first :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1725839 Twice if you have to.
Good luck

[Q] Trouble copying files to OBB Folder S4 Mini

Hi everyone!
I recenty bought a Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9192 with Android 4.2.2 and I can't copy any file to the OBB folder. The phone is already rooted, and even so,Windows shows up an error message saying that the device is disconected.I already tried to copy with a file manager or unzip on the folder, but even when the files were sucefully copied,an error saying that something was wrong with the license was shown.
Just to make more clear:
I'm a noob, but I know that this version of Android has this blocking,
I rooted with Kingo Root, already checked and the phone is really with root permissions.
Also, this phone is an Brazilian version. The baseband is UBUBMK4 and the roms of the international version (including Cyanogen) doesn't seen to work correcty on it.They got problems with Wi-Fi and dual - sim drivers.
Can U guys help me? And sorry for any English mistakes..
Don't really understand your problem, but obb files must be on the emulated sdcard the path is
/storage/sdcard0/Android/obb
The i9192 don't have any usable version of custom rom (cyanogen)
I think you already tripped knox, why dont you try a different kernel

I noticed the same problem on my 9190 yesterday, I tried two different OBB files and windows said the device disconnected.
I'm not sure what is causing this but I found out that if you copy the OBB files to the SD card first, and then use a file manager on the device, you can move it into the OBB folder
I hope this solves your problem
And i have same problem with u.. but after im using Foldermount my prob is already solved.. u can find out in xda.. try search Foldermount.apk..

[Q] Query for someone to try...WOULD BE HELPFUL TO ME..

If u have got a SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 10.1 (2014 EDITION) V 4.4. Can u please do something for me? Can u download ES file Explorer . Then can u Rename a file on the Internal storage by using ES FILE EXPLORER l(if it lets u) and if done successfully then can u move that file onto the EXTERNAL STORAGE using MY FILES (If it lets you). And then check if it doesnt say that "the system does not let you read and write on external storage". If done correctly then can u respond to this so i can then upgrade my Own Tablet to v4.4 as i am on my accord at v4.3 cos of the read and write allowance. ( btw it works on my samsung galaxy s5 which is the latest version which is v.4.4.2).
It would be so much helpful to me if someone trys this..
Thanks
You cannot move files to external storage with ES File Explorer if you're on 4.4. I think you need root access in order to do it (not sure of the exact process).
You can however do all of that with Samsung's My Files.
Edit: Just tried it again, it says "Your system forbids ES from writing on external SD card (check https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=67570), so ES can only write on it after rooted."

That is what he actually asks you to do. Use "My Files" to move the renamed file not "ES File Explorer" for the test.
I'm currently at work and don't have the tablet with me, but I'll try today in the evening, if no one did the test until then.

U dont need root for this. Ive got an s5 v4.4.2 and its unrooted and still is. It lets me do exactly what i said in the post earlier. It lets me RENAME A FILE via es file explorer and lets me MOVE THE FILE via My Files. Just wanna find out if its possible to do exactly the same on note 10.1 tablet cos i recently downgraded it from V.4.4.2 to v.4.3 cos of the read and write restriction on v.4.4.2 . Would do it myself but dont wanna go to thru the process of upgrading and then downgrading if it does not work. So im asking someone if they have or will do it for me??.
