Can't connect to Keis after rooting ! - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

So I recently rooted my SGS3, then I tried connecting to Samsung Keis and can't seem to connect. The Kies action bar tries to connect but doesn't seem to be able to finish the process. Anyone else have this issue or a fix?? Thanks

Problem not worth fixing. Uninstall Kies.

Okay, what do you recommend I use that is similar to Keis with drag and drop feature??

Tell me what you need Kies for and I will suggest something.
Drag and drop what? Files? Use Windows Exploiter for that.

I'm trying to move large torrent files from my phone into my Mac. And Airdroid takes way too long

Playlist
I am having this same problem. I don't like using kies I usually use Monkey Media but could not get playlist to import with it. I am a huge playlist guy buy like to change them regularly on my PC. I find it a pain to make playlist directly on Note 2. Any suggestions?

Mac does not allow you to copy the contents of a micro SD to the hard drive?

I was able to prior to rooting my phone. I'm only using my Mac as a bridge so that I can move large files onto my 1terabyte Seagate external hard drive which is connected to my Mac...
This is so frustrating:banghead:

[Q] Suggestions for Backing up Internal Storage via Wi-Fi?

Hey,
I need to backup my internal storage via wi-fi because my USB connector is defective and the computer wont recognize anymore..
Any suggestions on apps or a process to do this? Someone suggested AirDroid to me..
Thanks
I know you can do it through KIES plugged into USB. KIES AIR should be able to do the same thing over wifi. I have never tried it though. I am sure somewhere here are the files for it if you are running a custom ROM that it was cut out of. Do a search and try it out.
bump
Anyone else have other ideas? I tried Kies, it sucks (its slow and failed in the middle of my 2000 pictures, and theres no resume or synchronize, so its a fail)
I tried FSync with an ftp server which seems to work good but at first look im missing alot of files.
File expert has a good smb plugin for windows networking, do a multi select on your directories and paste them onto a network shared drive

AirDroid. Look it up on the Play Store.

I use FolderSync over smb, works great. I have a profile set to start the sync when on home wifi+ charging.

Setup a dropbox account. Install it on the pc and the app on the phone. The pc will always stay synched and you can get to your files from anywhere.
There are many options to do what I think it is you want. You could set up an SSH server on your system, create a rule through your router/firewall and if you don't have a static IP use something like OpenDNS; then use a VPN client to connect (VPNRoot in Play Store works).
You could also use DropBox, Box.net, SkyDrive, Google Drive or any other 'cloud' sync service for specific files too.
Or more simply you can use something like LogMeIn or TeamViewer. Both are dead simple and if you really do need access to your system while your away (or do remote tech support) these are well worth the price(s).
Are you looking for something like Samba for android?
Not sure if you are looking for something that will allow you to do this when you aren't near your PC, or if you are looking at something so you don' have to hook up your phone to your computer.

use as usb drive ?

Its my first android phone but I did use my friend's android phones before and when I connected them to PC I could choose the option to o use it as USB drive and I could connect it to any PC without any problems/drivers and connect it to my ps3, but with GS3 I need drivers for PC and I can't connect to my ps3 at all, so my question is: is there a way to enable USB drive like on other android phones or is there any other way to connect my SG3 to my ps3?
You can try this. I haven't used it yet but its supposed to do what you want I think.

Maybe in theory you could use 2nd way to make internal SD as external and then use 1st way to make that external SD as USB drive but its not 100% safe and you have to do it each time you want to transfer something... I found an app to use my phone as media server so I can connect to ps3 via Wi-Fi but only to transfer files from phone to ps3 not the other way around... I just don't get it why would they make something that was simple and easy to be more complicated now, I wouldn't be surprised if they release something like iTunes and make it the only way to connect and transfer files...
I don't think that will ever happen with android. But I have seen that even on the tabs like the 10.1 it can be a pain in the butt to use as simple as other androids. But you can always connect via SSH. I know this doesn't help op but just an idea for computer file transfer.

Thats kind of where i was going with it too. Just got busy and thought it might be something that could lead to a solution. I do think this is something that will be solved eventually. Hopefully soon!
I was looking at the thread for that app I linked to earlier and I think the dev is working on it. You my want to ask there to see if its still being worked on.

I doubt that will happen too, and even if it did I guarantee lots of the devs here would be all over it!

[Q] file transfer

What method does everyone use to transfer files to and from their PC?
dropbox
Airdroid
I have a question that fits here;
Is there any way to make the s3'S onboard and external SD Read and appear in windows as a flash drive (ftp i think?) Instead of a "media device"?
USB transfer. My computer shows both main and external card.
But now that I have dropbox, it has been my primary means for transfer.
Lol I used to carry a thumb drive everywhere.

How to transfer large files from Mac to Note?

Hi, maybe i'm not the first to ask this question, but i have several problems to manage my note 2 with my Mac. I use Airdroid for small files transfer, but if i want to transfer a rom, or any big file, it's just too slow. I tried to use Android File Transfer but it seems to not recognize anything. Is there anybody that can help me?
Thanks and sorry for some mistakes, i'm italian.
Is usb debugging on or off in developer options?
Android file transfer has been working well on my mac.

I also have a mac but haven't had the need to transfer large files over.
Have you tried taking out your micro sd card and transfer files to that?
Sorry I wasn't sure if you were trying to transfer to device memory or just to the phone in general.
