MultiRom Installation Guide :
WARNING: Read and Follow my installation instructions! I'm not responsible for bad or inappropriate use of my works! You are installing it for your own risk. If you will correctly follow my instructions all will work good and you will don't need PC. Allways make nandroid backup, just incase.
Installation Procedure :
1)Download the latest AROMA INSTALLER and install it with full wipe, choosing the Trinity MultiBoot Kernel, without DATA RESRESTORE.
It will also install support for Rom and extract all necessary Files to /sdcard1/0-MultiRom folder .
2)Boot up the Android, connect to the internet and run multirom app.
Allow it root access , download and install all necessary files. When it finish, It Will Ask for reboot in recovery to complete installation, CHOOSE "NO".
IF YOU REBOOTED THAN REFLASH TRINITY MULTIBOOT KERNEL, from 0-MultiRom folder, DO NOT REBOOT WITHOUT REFLASHING KERNEL, OR IT WILL NOT BOOT !!!
In case IT NOT BOOT you must FASTBOOT FLASH BOOT BOOT.IMG with Windows command line, to bring your device life again.
3)Shutt down your device , than boot it in MultiRom TWRP Recovery by pressing camera button or rebooting in recovery with Philz recovery .
Go to /sdcard1/0-MultiRom folder and install :
Check the option "Inject MultiRom After Installation ", it must be ENABLED!
FLASH :
1)MultiROM-v30x-180115-UNOFFICIAL-honami.zip, do not REBOOT OR IT WILL NOT BOOT!
Check the option "Inject MultiRom After Installation ", it must be ENABLED!
Then you have two Kernel installers for flash :
2)LTrinityUltimateKernel_V3.2_by_D_Vovan_238.zip - by all buttons you will enter in Philz Recovery.
2)ULTrinityUltimateKernel_V3.2_by_D_Vovan_238.zip - you can enter MultiRom TWRP Recovery by camera button pressing.
4)And finally boot in to your New CrisKelo MultiRom V7.8!
5)Enjoy
For correct functionality of all secondary roms check MultiRom settings, Enable ADB must be enabled, otherwise you will always getting problems with your secondary Roms!
If some secondary Rom get stuck, sometimes it happens, will be impossible to boot nothing apart recoveries. Boot in to MultiRom TWRP and repeat step number 3) of my installation guide. Now MultiBoot is restored . Stucked secondary Rom will also not work, to restore it simply reflash Rom and optionally Gapps zip installers, DONE ALL RESTORED
You will also find init.d script zip installers in /sdcard1/0-MultiRom/MountingScripts folder.
There are 3 installers for mmcblk1p2, mmcblk1p3 and mmcblk1p4 mount. So you can use it for External Secondary Roms installation or like EXT4 storage
But first you must prtitionate your Micro SD Card with mini partition tool, than install script acording with your SDCard partitions.
You can even install external roms on USB OTG Disks, FAT32(vfat) formatted
You will also find MultiRom uninstaller zip in 0-MultiRom folder, if you want to remove it.
Remember ALWAYS REFLASH KERNEL After actions with MultiRom, like installing, reinstalling or uninstalling MultiRom !!!
This way you ensure that it will 100% boot up other time!
No need to Reflash Kernel after secondary rom installing

You wiped your system before run Aroma Installer.
That's because it happens, wipe your phone with Aroma, while old rom is on system,it will not wipe data/media/0!
I was not thinking about this
But otherwise my device verification will not work.
Like all good Roms CrisKelo must verify if it is installing on correct device, because if the device is incorrect, it will possibly bricked or worse, Hard Bricked
Try it this way if still don't work, save the Installation Log and send it to me, or post it
Aroma installer updated !
New version released
Enjoy

Hi, you re welcome its a pleasur
yes you have to flash it with CWM or TWRP, reboot and flash gapps as usual,
the default recovery in kernel is the CM11 integreated CWM recovery
Thank you very much @Achotjan.
This is really a good news for our ion.
Will test and report.
@Achotjan finally u did some mercy upon poor xperia ion users ..u r damn awesome ...thanks..will flash and report in a while...
So I flashed it. Initial impression are very good. Will give a detailed review later.
And whoa!!! Total ram is 860mb. I mean I have never seen so much ram in ion. This is an awesome work.
@Achotjan thank you...this is good for our xperia ion
And also theirs xperia overlay rom for xperia ion - http://www.xperiaoverlay.com/xperia_ion_purchase.html
Thank you once again
I am damn impressed with this build. Really seems stable. Everything works. Animations are fine. Theme engine works. All good.
Now for few issues i faced till now
1. Uninstalling app from setting - check edit.
2. This is related to over clock. I don't like over clocking so I have kept Max freq to 1512 but even though CPU goes over 1512. Also phone gets warm on basic usage. I think this is related to over clocking.
EDIT - i figured it out that reboot while uninstalling is only for only cm11 theme while uninstalling all other apps works irrespective of where you uninstall from. So reboots only if you uninstall cm11 themes.
This is y i never wanna sell trade my ion...I guess I will keep it with me foreva...I am still tryna download the rom and in the middle i am getting connection error ..poor me??

Flashing steps
So I was on a custom rooted rom and the steps to flash this sweetheart is as follows: ( without using Flashtool )
1) Download the rom .zip file to your phone.
2) Extract the Boot.img file found in the zip you have downloaded and put it somewhere in your phone
3) Download and install Rashr which is a kernel flasher app on your phone
4)Open Rashr and Grant root permission when asked to.
5) In Rashr, Go for choose Kernel from storage option and choose the Boot.img file you have extracted from the rom .zip file and your device will reboot with the xperia overlay kernel.
6) When xperia overlay shows up press the volume down button multiple times to get in the CWM recovery already implemented in the xperia overlay kernel.
7) Wipe data factory reset
8) Wipe Cash partition
9) Install zip from sd card, choose the .zip rom file.
10) reboot and enjoy you new full of ram rom
note 1: in case you face error mounting sd card when trying to install the rom which is what happened to me, just go to the advanced otion in the recovery and choose fix permissions then reboot to recovery and everything will be allright.
note 2: according to what I just found out, you must follow these steps if you don't have a custom recovery installed.
in case you have CWM or TWRP recovery already installed then there is no need to flash the kernel, so you can skip steps 2-3-4-5-6

No need of following this in detail.
If you have custom recovery like twrp
Then just wipe data, cache, dalvik, system and flash the zip and reboot. That's it.

this depends on what kernel you are using, if you are on another kernel, you have to flash the xperia overlay kernel before you go on with the flashing steps, anyway the steps are meant for people who are not much familiar with flashing custom roms

No bro. Thats not needed. The kernel is in the zip and it flashes with the ROM. So you only need a working custom recovery.
Ya agree with new users. But sometimes it confuses people.

ok I did not realize the kernel will be flashed with the rom, is this a general rule ? as sometimes I try to flash a custom rom and get stuck with the old kernel and I flash the new one later with flashtool to get the rom to work.

That's mostly with stock ROMs. They don't have kernel in it. You can check in any jb stock ROMs, you won't find any kernels in it.

Informations
Hey guys, today i will show DualBootPatcher one of the best apps for multi ROMs (i think this is the unique app for this ).
I have managed to support L3II, L5, L7 and L7II (Officially)
I am not the creator, just the supporter
XDA NEWS!!!
Disclaimer
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
Requirements
1. A Custom Recovery (TWRP or PhilZ Touch or the old CWM )
2. A KitKat ROM (Real KitKat ROM, not build.prop edited, a fake KK ROM)
3. The Dualboot Patcher - http://goo.gl/0bcbbN (Download the APK in Downloads Section)(For L3II, L5, L7 and L7II)
4. A KitKat ROM (To install )
Installation
1. Make a nandroid backup in case anything fails. (optional if you like playing with fire)
2. Install the DualbootPatcher
3. In the Patcher, go to the ROMs section, and a popup will ask you to set the kernel. Do it.
4. After this you need to go in menu (the tree dots) of Primary ROM and search for Update Ramdisk. Press it.
5. In the patcher, go to the Patch ZIP file section, open your ROM zip file
6. After this select in what partition you want to install:
Primary ROM Upgrade - To update ROM without affect the Secundary ROM (and others) when you have one installed.
Secundary - To install in /system.
MultiROM (1-3) - To install in /cache, you have 3 slots in this.
Data Slot - To install in /data (ID is IDentification of ROM)
Extsd slot - To install in your sdcard
7. You not need to change the Device
8. Do the same for GAPPS (optional)
9. Press in confirmation button and wait.
You have two options here:
9. Go to ROMs section and press in button of a device with arrow inside, select the patched zip files (ROM and GAPPS), and by last press in confirmation button, just wait..
10. After finish, close the app (see Know Issues), open and go again to ROMs section and you will see the default ROM to boot (the last installed). Reboot your phone.
11. It will now boot onto your ROM installed, once you've completed your first boot setup, install the DualBootPatcher.
or
9. Restart in recovery, flash the patched zip files (ROM and GAPPS). Restart your phone.
10. It will now boot onto your ROM installed, once you've completed your first boot setup, install the DualBootPatcher.
You are now able to select which rom to boot from the ROMs section. Once you've selected which rom is the default, restart your phone. Voilà!
Know Issues
- The ROMs section sometimes bug and get a infinite refresh, close the app and open app again.
- Never use this in JellyBean 4.1 or "You are gonna have a bad time"
- Contact me
Special Thanks
@chenxiaolong for the awesome DualBootPatcher.
@virulentt for him original thread for tutorial (and encouragement)

@ECr34T1v3 for testing in L3II
ScreeShots
Thanks for the mention
@WinterR test the unofficial snapshot, please
What about different kernel and not the one from rom's zip? Better to add them to zip before patch or can be installed later by patching kernel's zip?
Or there can be only one kernel for all roms?
Sent using XT1562 - stock 5.1.1

For kernels you need to flash two times, first flash with patched zip (in app) and second flash you need to set the ROM and flash again (via recovery).
The first will update modules (/system) and second is to update the boot.img
Note: Ever you change kernel you need to go to app and set the kernel to save you new boot.img
Now DualBootPatcher supports the L7 and L7II!!!
I got some time and would like to check it out.
I can only use 4.4.4 roms (on L7 there are no newer ones)?
How it works with sdext? Is it used as both /system and /data? Or just /system? But than where is nonprimary rom /data located?
PS. What file systems are supported by app? Or maybe it depends on kernel?
@ch3mn3y you can use all ROMs up to 4.2, because SELinux and other core things like storage/emulated/0.
The SdExt only store system.img, and only system (for now, the patch is under progress all time).
You have option to put 1 in /system (dual), 3 in /cache (multi-slot), and unlimited in /data and /sdext (External Card).
Support F2FS and Ext4, auto-detect, just need support in your ROM and all will works (not tested because no F2FS support for mine device )
If I can ask: where /data goes? I mean /data/app, /data/data, etc., not /data/media)?
So I tried to mod cyanhacker 2.0 to work from extsd, but app FC's at 1.4%. Tried last 8.0.0. Anyone know which one works with our device or this rom (don't know which one cause FC)?

The rom is stored in any partition in a folder called "multiboot", try other rom or old app versions.

I used this: DualBootPatcher-8.0.0.r2115.g279e1b2-win32.zip (last build from 09.01.2016). It patched the file (older ones couldn't open the archive). Now i will try to flash it on my device and than i will probably use app from the same build (DualBootPatcherAndroid-8.0.0.r2102.gd35e5db-snapshot.apk).
Naah, i use newest app. Zips can be edited on Windows machine.
Small request: any chance to move /cache and /data to the same folder as /system? Or at least /data (as /cache is more temporary) as it can become big for one rom and we have less than 3GB of space on this partition...

Bug?
After reboot from extsd rom back to primary, app on ptimary doesnt find sdext rom. I can only choose primary one.
Only change on sdext rom I did is installation of app...

Check in external card the multiboot folder.
This app have a lot of bugs, use the zip in DualBootPatcher site, for cat the logs, and we can see if something goes wrong and report a bug.

Its ok. After 2 reboots of primary rom, sdext one is back and after next two reboots between roms its still there. Dont know what was wrong, but right now i suppose there wont be any useful info in logs.
Downloaded the logs zip, so next time will use it.
It works really fast from class 4 sdcard. However I thought that extsd is 2 partition and created one

Hello! I need a Deodexed rom for our Lenovo A3000-H? My build number is A3000_A422_009_020_131112_WW_CALL_FUSE. I badly need it bro. Thanks!
Hello,
I flashed the ROM about a week ago, it works great but I have some questions:
When I plug in the charger to powered-off tablet, it shows glitched battery icon and then freezes. If I try to start the system it freezes on boot animation. I think it's because of the logo.bin (I'm not good at android development) which has 3 megabytes in this ROM, in any other ROM it has 300kb.. Also when I open it with LogoBuilder 1.6 and compile with the same images it has 300kb, not 3mb. Can I just flash the smaller logo.bin into existing ROM?
Can you explain me what exactly means the 2.5_4 scatter file? I flashed it and now I have 2gb system partition and only 480mb emmc partition! When I flashed with 8_16 file, the flasher showed "not enough space" error. I have A3000-H device which I think has 16GB of flash, I have only 2.5 available!
When I open the camera in Facebook Messenger app, it just closes. Can I fix it in any way? This is not very important, just a good feature which I can't use...
I think any other parts of the ROM are working... Very thank you for this great ROM!
Thanks in advance

Check OP there is supported list, also you know 8gen1 is snapdragon and the title says exynos and you still asking if it works?
Check the othe snapdragon thread.
Step 4 fails for me because of Knox Guard. Custom binaries blocked.
There is no way around this right?
Hi, noob question here...
Can I update firmware and retain root and TWRP without losing data? If yes - how to do it?
Worked perfectly with given guide!
1. TWRP recovery running
2. Could flash custom kernel from afaneh92
3. Also I downloaded Kernel tree and used build_menu to compile the same kernel with arch/arm64/configs/afaneh_r0s_defconfig
4. Could flash custom kernel self compiled as mentioned from (3.)
Next step was to adjust the defconfig from afaneh92 with some other features, but everytime I stuck in bootloop if I try. My approach was the following:
1. Load env variables from build_menu
2. make menuconfig load afaneh_r0s_defconfig
3. activate features from =n to =y (i.e. CONFIG_IP_VS=y)
4. copy newly created .config settings into afaneh_r0s_defconfig
5. start build_menu -> build kernel -> r0s
6. make flashable zip
7. boot into TWRP recovery and install custom kernel
8. Result: stuck in bootloop
my config still has CONFIG_SECURITY_ALWAYS_PERMISSIVE=y
Is this the right approach to add features to my kernel, or I am totally wrong with this? Here are some features I need for my kernel:
BLK_CGROUPDUMMYBLK_DEV_THROTTLINGEXT3_FS_POSIX_ACLBRIDGEIP_VSBRIDGE_NETFILTERIP_VS_NFCTVLAN_8021QIP_VS_PROTO_TCPBRIDGE_VLAN_FILTERINGIP_VS_PROTO_UDPBTRFS_FSIP_VS_RRBTRFS_FS_POSIX_ACLIPC_NSCFQ_GROUP_IOSCHEDNET_L3_MASTER_DEVHUGETLBFSIPVLANCGROUP_HUGETLBMACVLANCGROUP_NET_PRIONETFILTER_XT_MATCH_ADDRTYPECGROUP_PERFNETFILTER_XT_MATCH_IPVSDM_THIN_PROVISIONINGSECURITY_APPARMORVXLANUSER_NS

you can simply edit afaneh_r0s_defconfig
I did. I.e. I changed
# CONFIG_IP_VS is not set
to
CONFIG_IP_VS=y
then compiled, flashed and tried to boot into system but stuck in bootloop.
I started to create the config with menuconfig because sometimes activating some of the CONFIG_ features additionally dependencies come in place or are not even available to activate.
Like activating CONFIG_IP_VS with menuconfig result in following:
CONFIG_IP_VS=y
# CONFIG_IP_VS_IPV6 is not set
# CONFIG_IP_VS_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_IP_VS_TAB_BITS=12
Or if you want to use CONFIG_BRIDGE_VLAN_FILTERING you first need to activate CONFIG_VLAN_8021Q because of the dependencie.
So I thought doing with menuconfig is the "saver" solution. But anyway, got the same problem.

Anyway this is twrp thread, and I don't support kernel edit, mine is stock permissive
Thank you so far. Then I need some help in kernel edit. I start a new topic in questions section.
I'm getting bootloops on Android 13 BWA2, ADB doesn't work either. There's no possibility to install ROMs since the data partition is wiped when you flash TWRP and you can't copy files from windows to the device because it's not recognized.

How am I supposed to flash the kernel if I can't get the zip file on my phone? Can you provide a tar file to be flashable in Download mode?
Will your TWRP be compatible with the new S23 series?
Well done. Flashed this image on four S22 phones, no problem. Fifth, my own - well, as mentioned on Telegram channel, I forgot to flash multidisabler. Wouldn't be a problem, but as I already setup the phone and moved over 180GB in it, I would like to query wheter it would be possible to support Samsung encryption. I am not demanding, so please don't be mad - just asking for possibility. Would be nice to have feature. While I can backup my data using migrate, I still prefer NAND backups.
