What does it do,and what are its benefits ?
It.s usefull if you have root. This app gives permission to other app to acces su.modify system files etc.(root)

I don't find it as good as the SuperSU or Superuser app. Yes, it's new (so it's not perfect yet) but many of the app's reviews stated its best feature is its interface. Its interface doesn't look too pretty on Gingerbread. All those positive UI reviews were from phone's that have ICS or JB so naturally they don't have them ugly rounded corners..
I like it.
Beautiful

thanks for the info, but i think it is not as good as Chain's DD's or Chainfire's app
Chinese are improving themselves!
Is it faster in speed & reaction
gio user,

Kanged CM 7.2 with lots of tweaks , new framework , bootanimation , links2sd , ad blocker , gps fixes , just to clarify my vote above
I like the stock rom, slightly optimized (like, removed the useless apps), custom kernel + root and some cool launcher right now i'm trying BNC-GIO-ROM-R1
So I was using MarkPython's ICS ROM with small apps, and I fell in love with them, they were amazing little apps. But I did miss the themeing amongst other things that is with CM9.
How would one achieve of getting small apps onto CM9?

Yeah that. I have tried searching with no avail..

Imo it is impossible to get small apps to work on CM9 because the frameworks are different.
Hello,
I am looking for the best rom for gio.
Currently i have the CM9 from maclaw but titanium backup says my phone isn't rooted. I also had GingerDX and MiUI and s3 gio but in every rom there are some bugs. I need a rom WITHOUT bugs. Does anyone have suggestions? It doesn't matter what kind of a rom. So ICS or iOs doesn't matter. Thanks. -sorry for bad english-

personally I prefer Unofficial CM10 / CM9, I use this rom everyday, works pretty good
Well all roms have there good points and bad but that all depends on how you use it.. Like ginger DX is a stable rom but kind of plain.. Try differend roms and see what kind you find most good to work with..
Adrenaline is very good. Also DebianDroid , wich i actually use
Yes i tried jellybread and cm7 and miui and many other roms. My finally choise is Aurora 3. Very smooth and no bugs. There's only one point with my miui launcher. See my other tread.

Its used gaming for gaming for better graphic and performance
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
From what I have experienced using it, is that it lowers down the graphic performance so that the game can run smoothly. Speed at the cost of high end graphics
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
It is a GUI modification software, it is capable of lowering down graphic details so that a certain program can run in lower performance phones. But it does not support most games though, I tried, uninstalled. It can even reduce quality of your launcher if you wanted to. But then your phone will look bad.
all the previous posts are relatively correct but ill just tell you one thing
chainfire 3D DOESN'T SUPPORT ICS ROMS (ur currently on cm9 which is ics)
It works on MIUI (CM9 BASED). I've tried

the dev of the app was the one who said his app doesn't support ics or jb (it has no improvement when its installed and applied, no changes are done) so i guess if u can see any improvement using it on miui, u shall tell him

In a nutshell:
Gingerbread ROMs are known to have incomplete OpenGL ES support. 3D games *require* OpenGL ES. Chainfire 3D adds the necessary drivers to Gingerbread.

Thanks everyone for the BIG replies... Anyway I tried installing it on my CM9 ROM and it does work cos' i think i set everything to perfomance graphics and then when i reboot, EVERYTHING become distorted including the icons... Temple Run does work weirdly but it SO smooth using it... Now, due to my MASS flashing power, Im using MIUI and i will install Chainfire 3d

i've been using this app since my GB days with my wonder,,
and i can say that its working for me,,,
i've tried it with raiden legacy,, reduce to 16 bit,,, and now there's no white screen problem within the game compared to playing this one without chainfire3d
NICE! So in order to make gaming smoother, i have to reduce to 16 BIT? I tried with CM9 once and icons became distorted... :/ What configs do you use ?

Will Ubuntu for Phones be possible for our gio? MMB is nicely working on FirefoxOS, but I want to try Ubuntu too, its especially made to run with android drivers and kernel. Its excually a modded CM10.1 without dalvik. But the downside is, its requires a additonal flash from 400mb (talking about port to s3), and thats to big for our Gio. Do you think someone will make it possible?
nathan-96
should be possible, but I dont have interest in it currently, because the system is still growing and there aren't many apps for it, and gio doesnt have dual boot.

It dont has a meaning now
Ubuntu is currently only a developer preview and not yet a full pacakage even when its done u wont have all features enabled

Ubuntu touch looks really nice. Mozilla os looks not good and it's an (bad?) android copy... good article on cnet where they compare mozilla os, ubuntu touch and Samsung's Tizen.
