Could someone please point me to a link that will help me mod an app to be used at 240dpi. I have searched and nothing comes up about a tut to change from 320dpi to 240dpi.
I dont want to change the dpi to 240 of the rom. I want to be able to mod the app so when 240dpi is used it will still look right in terms of the layout.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Evil.
You want to look for the xposed framework. You can change dpi on an app by app basis.

Yes I know that thinks but the problem is some apps don't like lower dpi's as they have not been created for them. E.g. the stock dialer of TW can't be used at 240dpi as the dialpad is all out.
Cheers for your response though.

Again as I said to the guy above you 2 posts, I already know about that and use it but some apps don't look right with 240dpi. I want to mod the apps themselves to be able to be used at 240dpi.
Thanks though.
Cheers,
Evil.
Ah. That's a bit different than the way your inquiry originally read. :/

Sorry, wording is everything I agree. I want to mod the actual apps so they look right when used at 240dpi.
I'll edit the first post.
Cheers,
Evil.
You need to use xposed settings for the apps that don't look well.
Just select the app in it and in dpi change it to 320dpi.
This is mostly to be done with system apps as play store apps are generally made to be scaled.

Exactly what I don't want. Please read the posts in the thread. I want to mod the apps that don't work with 240dpi so that when the rom I am using is in 240dpi app layouts that don't work with 240 will work.

No I'm sorry don't you people read. I want a tut that guides me on how to turn an app into a multi dpi app so that I can use the same app between different roms at different dpi's

I don't think there is a guide about it.
Try contacting bala_gamer where he learnt from.
I think you should unpack both stock and modded apps to see what is changed in there.
Unpack both with apktool from google.
Then use a compare tool that will calculate the differences between the two apks.

How did you get the ttf to apk?
Could you do this with all ttf?
Maybe, you could do this, with the google web font: indie flower?
I would be happy!

Paranoid Android does not have any such feature. I know that Trebuchet launcher on the other hand does but the latest version of the ROM does not have this launcher. There is no such application I've come across yet, or any such feature in the rom, that let's me do this. So please, let me know what I have to do to get this done and then you can mock me all you want. Also, a problem I have faced is, I didn't know what to search for. No idea what that space is called.

Use Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher.
Also if you want the Trebuchet launcher, just download it from the the Theme and Apps section. Change the grid size to a 7rowsx6columns. That should help.
I use Apex Pro. Or use a non grid launcher like TSF shell or ssLauncher.

Launcher settings have nothing to do with 'resolution'. That's what I was talking about
Use ANY other launcher and you will fix the spacing issue.

First, how do we get the transparent notification page (not the bar).
Is it possible that the smartphone turns on receipt of an SMS (when it is locked).
How to install S-Voice, I installed the apk, but it does not work (network problem)
And for the installation of "Bavia Engine 3), how to install it.
Finally, how to add emoticons in the list present on the HTC.

Say if I wanted to theme my stock rooted touchwiz. If I found a theme for the s4 touchwiz, I obviously can't flash it! But if I used a root explorer can I drag and drop replacing the files and reboot? Or would it not work cause or dpi is set at 480p? I just miss themeing! I wish I could make the PCB circuit board theme work on our Note 3!

Sorry to say, no. Here is why sir.
1. S4 is still on android 4.2 based, while Note III is android 4.3 so things will be different.
2. The layout files will be different, which is a big piece.
Dpi wont come into play, becuase they both use xxHdpi images.. so the image part should for most part be fine to drag into Launcher3.apk. Not a guareentee all will be fine.. but should.
My suggestion..
1. If you have Root, have Nova or Apex loaded and make sure works.
2. With one of the above running, you can rename your launcher3.apk
3. I would only drag images from s4 launcher into Note III launcher.
4. Replace luancher apk on Note III change permission, reboot.
5. change back to TW Launcher..
With us just getting Root. You gotta give us a bit to get things going..

You take a huge chance of messing up phone and getting fc's using apk from other carriers N3 stuff. Especially Framework/SystemUI is almost always different by each carrier. They add stuff into those files..

You need to have:
Android SDK
A graphic program like Gimp, Paint.Net, Photoshop
Apktool Manager
Java 6 and/or 7
That would be a start. Then you need to learn how to decompile Android Apk's

The SecLauncher4.apk is the correct apk to decompile to get to labels for the launcher. I am not sure where those are at, haven't themed the Seclauncher since two versions ago..
