[Q] will the kernel version name will change when rooted?

my kernel version is [email protected] and it is roote, but when i rooted my friends phone her kernel version is dpi something. my question is what will be the kernel version when rooted? tnx for the help.. and can someboy pls give me the link on how to use link2sd for sgy

Nope hmm i dont use link2sd. Hehe. Causes instabillity (i thnk)

use rom toolbox
then scroll to configure to app2sd
then do ur own choisr

Root Android 4.0.4?

Hey guys,
I sold my Xperia PLAY and bought instead of my old phone a Xperia Arc S.
I haven't done anything, but I want to update to Android 4.0.4.
I can't unlock my BL using S1Tool Method, so is there a way to root my phone on Android 4.0.4?

1st you need to be on ICS 4.0.4 (if u haven't updated, then do it )
Then you can do the Root of 4.0.4 by 3 simple steps mentioned on this POST ..

Correct me if i am wrong , but this link u gave is the root method for 4.0.3 .

Busy box x app required

I need busybox x app while downloadin from plastore it shows error saying this item is not available in your country.it would be helpful if anyone uploads app for me

the link is for Busybox X+ but i need only Busybox X.If i install Busybox X+ the mobile restarts while openeing apps like gl2sd link2sd etc.I have tired the app which u have given in the above link.it doesnt work in m dual

I also tried this and it really works for me. Even i also crossflashed xperia m dual jb 4.2.2 on my xperia m and everthing is working well except the youtube app.. The picture quality is pixelated

Does ur headphone make white noise after u cross flashed 4.2.2 on xm single

No the reason y Ur phone restart is because Ur phone is not fully rooted go on this thread and it will tell U how to

no every thing works fine,, i think the problem is in youtube app, i installed very old youtube official app and now its working absolutely fine

and the method you are telling for full root is for xperia m not for xperia m dual

hi after i flash my xperia zl to these firmware,.its hang on after boot and restart..
its just keep on restarting after it boot..please help me..i dont know what to do i did not backup my old firmware because of it has no baseband,imei,wifi,front cam

I was stucked on boot loop while trying to root my c6502 4.4.4 but some thing wnet wrong and bootloop..
But after downloading your ftf file i flashed it and walla... my xperia is back again...

I have locked bootloader. If someone can build a recovery and a rom for locked bootloaders I'll try whatever rom!

already tested on D5102 unlocked bootloader & will compile recovery to other t3 models also D5103

T3 repos are already on Cyanogenmod github. You guys could just build and use it

Work in progress just wait a few days i will put out alpha version of cm11 for this device and as my exams are also near so i will be little slow sorry for that

i found the rom that i will port but i am unable to get stock rom of sony xperia t3 D5102 can anyone please make a nandroid backup of their sony xperia c D5102 model and upload here please its needed as soon as possible make sure you give me D5102 model stock rom nandroid backup
