I haven't done anything, but I want to update to Android 4.0.4.
I can't unlock my BL using S1Tool Method, so is there a way to root my phone on Android 4.0.4?

If I flash down to 2.3.2 and root using Gingerbreak, will I lose root if I upgrade OTA to 2.3.4 again? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I recently updated my arc S to 4.0.4 version of Android
I am trying to root my phone, checked some couple of threads about rooting, but one thing i couldn't find is that which version of flashtool do I need to use for rooting purpose.
If anyone could guide me it would be very helpful.
If you can provide me the link of the flastool on mediafire then I would be more thankful to u....
Thanks in Advance

I can help you pretty good with this one
sure i will and please i would like a step by step procedure. am not a professional yet
If ure still on kk i used stump root to root it then get on play and get a app called flashify get your recovery im pretty sure twrp is bumped which is a workaround for a unlockable bootloader so technicly bootloader is still locked were just slipping through a hole in the fence to say
