I flashed liquid smooth 4.2.2 rc1 rom today, s beam worked once, after that it sends me to app store and message says item not found, but i am able to send s beam to another phone, anyone know how to fix? love the rom, and this is the only problem iv ran into.
Post this in the rom thread. 4.2 ROMs are a little buggy so that can be a bug unresolved yet. Best of luck to you man.

Big update coming today (RC2)! Like the above poster said, post this in the Liquid Smooth thread though and see if you can get your answer directly from a dev.

Ive been on XDA for a while now, but havent ever had the need to post anything, and now that I do I need 10 posts, so hopefully BTR or Mijjz can help out with.
ever since the 5.01 flash, my Gyro has been upside down in landscape mode, any ideas?
Reply I have the same exact problem where I have been an xda member forever and flashed tons of roms on the og evo but never needed to post in development till the gsiii and need 10 posts just like you. Good luck my friend!

What 5.01 flash? As in what file?
I have seen this personally on my device flashing a rom ported from a TMO leak (a few months back when the TMO JB TW leak was ported to sprint) and the gyro was backwards.
Post up what you flashed and there is going to be more help available
Trying to be the good little noob that i am, i have searched all over the place and cannot find an answer to my S Beam not working in this rom. I don't have enough posts to ask in the rom's dev section so i am asking here. I have the S Beam and NFC turn on on both phones. Mine is running Domination and my wife's is running the stock rom that came with it. I went from stock to Wicked V7 and it didn't work in that one as well. Any ideas?

NFC and S Beam are turned on on both phones. Putting them back to back does nothing. Before i rooted and changed ROM's, it would make a sound and one of the screen would change and tapping the screen would transfer the file. now it does nothing. Neither phone makes the sound and the screen doesn't change.
Me again.
I posted a few hours ago about a problem with my SMS and text messages not being sent if they were over 160 characters. After receiving help about that and since I'm trying to hit my 10 post mark, I figured I'd make another thread about the other problem I'm having.
So I'm running LiquidSmooth JellyBean 4.2.1 Beta 2 on my Sprint Galaxy S3 and I love it. The only problem I am having is that my headset, a basic Skull Candy headset with the button to stop/play music, mute/unmute calls and also fast forward and rewind music does not seem to be working. I mean I can hear music through them fine and the mic works fine for calls, but the button no longer works on this custom ROM. It was working fine on 4.1.1 stock.
Anyone else have this issue? Any help would be appreciated. It's not a big deal but it is nice being able to cut off my music without even taking out my phone.
Its most likely because JB 4.2 is still in development and doesn't have all the hardware features of the stock ROM built in yet
Definitely sounds like this is the issue since you said you had no problems on a TW rom

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I figured that, though I was hoping for some better news. I'm new to the android world but I was hoping someone came up with something that I can flash and bingo, my button works again
It's not a huge issue, just a small inconvenience really.

Yeah I know what you mean...but the good thing is that there are many talented devs working on this and even if they still cant get it, Samsung will be releasing 4.2 for the S3 sometime soon, so they can build from that if necessary

This worked for me, at least for the last two days and so far it seems pretty solid. I have a SGH-i317/M (Canadian). I'm currently running JelIyBAM 7.5.0 and I have the infamous crashing/freezing Camera/Gallery and blank grey pictures showing up in the Gallery when taken with the flash on.
All I did was installed the Bravia Engine and Wiped Dalvik Cashed, after reboot it's been working great.
To install the Bravia Engine simply go to Settings > BAM Modder > Graphics > Bravia Engine > Download.
After it's downloaded, reboot into Recovery and flash it just like any other.
After it's flashed go back to the Root of your Recovery Menu > Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cashed > Back > Reboot Device.
This has solved the Camera/Gallery from crashing and YouTube stays connected without asking me to retry 20 times each video.
Hope this helps and it looks like JellyBAM 7.6.0 is just around the corner for our Note 2's
GPS in Jellybam 7.6.2 for ATT I777 is spotty
Hey guys. I haven't seen a thread for The ATT SGH I777 or JellyBam 7.6.2 ROM yet so be kind!
I am just posting to see if anyone else has had issues with this ROM? So far the GPS first locks into California and I am way over in South Alabama! I can get it to sync up to my location after fiddling with it for a while but it will then wig out again.
That is the only issue I have seen with it so far. I am having an issue with Pocket not logging into Drop box but I think that is unrelated to the ROM.
This ROM is based on AOKP I believe...
thank for any tips...
Thanks for you jellybam team!
Jellybam has been banned on XDA. If you want to talk about Bam, google their website and forums.

Really? Banned? I see threads to them still!!!
That is suspicious since their latest ROM release Jellybam 7.7.0 for ATT I777 released Saturday night I believe is the MOST STABLE ROM out there!
Can you please direct me to the thread/sticky whatever that explains that they are banned and why? I am very interested to understand this!
If I am using their ROM I need to know that XDA does not trust them!!! Maybe I should NOT TRUST them either!!!

Here's a link to what one user had said about the developer of the ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41091589
From what I understand, BAM is just kang. Dev just copied code and renamed his. I don't know anything, but that's basically what everyone is saying.
I totally agree with you-- I've just tried 7.7 yesterday actually. Such a disgrace that the ROM is so darn stable, but just has conflicts with XDA. If you want to check out their stuff, Google JellyBam android and you should see it somewhere. I can't provide links myself.

Googled and found
Yea I googled them found them even signed into their site!
I know they are only dealiung with one ROM pack but multi phones and they aren't so snippy as the folks on here! Not so uptight!
I like that! lol
I did not know this ROM was banned from XDA. It is quite understandable though as JellyBAM is essentially CyanogenMod 10.1 with the addition of ParanoidAndroid functionality and AOKP Customization. It's simply put as every ROM in one and since the 7.7.0 update it is extremely stable which is a shame seeing how this is the best AOSP alternative for the Note 2. I've tried a few and CyanogenMod 10.1 is the best out there right infront of ParanoidAndroid, but JellyBAM 7.7.0 is CyanogenMod 10.1 with everything other ROM features you could think of.
Mods, feel free to delete this thead if it offends other Devs on the site.
I bought my SIII about 6-8 months ago, coming from the SII.. the Devs and roms for the SII were good and plentiful .. I get the SIII and it seems like there isn't much support for it! I mean my SII shortly after giving it to my wife was updated to 4.1.2 WTF?? I surely thought by now my SIII would be 4.2.2! (Maybe even 4.3!!).. am I wrong for feeling this way? Is it Samsung I should cuss the F out? LoL! Now I have the "itch" to say screw it and start flashing again but nothing seems too promising as a DD

Samsung feels 4.1.2 is pretty much bug free. Now they are struggling to keep up with the booms in technology and software as well. New versions of Android are coming out quicker than Sammy's new phones. Why put out a 4.2.2 when 4.3 is out? So now they concentrate on getting out new phones with 4.3 on it and then they start working on updates to the dozens of existing models. 4.3 was announced as coming to the S3 BUT that will be the international first then US months later depending on carriers.
What is in 4.2.2 that you MUST have? There are 4.3 AOSP ROMs all over if you want that.

There are various ways to flash other carriers roms to T-Mobile, the AT&T variant is almost (and in some cases) a direct port...
It doesn't seem like the newer versions of Android add too much more function than 4.1.2. As far as looks, their are plenty of ways to theme your phone to make it look like whatever you like

Going to have to agree with this. 4.3 even on the best ROMs are alphas at best.
The only semi stable AOSP/CM ROMs are 4.2.2 and under.
And all AOSP/CM ROMs since have a weird bug with Instagram or third party apps and their front facing camera.

Since posting this thread I've used CM10.2 Nightlies and also ParanoidAndroid 3.99 RC2.. I can honestly say (and this is of course my own opinion and result) that CM has been a better experience. I use my phone a bunch for little things, internet, text messaging, FBing, Pictures, XDA, games, etc and haven't had any problems with CM.. Only reason I switched back from PA to CM was honestly only that Candy Crush wasn't compatible with PA (and I barely play CC anymore lol).. I've just lost my ability to use Triangle Away for some reason.. It was working on the CM10.2 09/07 nightly, flashed PA and didn't work. Then flashed back to CM but the 09/26 and still not working, flashed the new kernel and TA still gets stuck at Detecting Packages.. Wish someone would tell me why.. I've posted in like 5 different places and nobody responds

My biggest issues are surrounding bluetooth - I experience issues related to pops when switching songs - almost sounds like a non-flushed buffer, and sometimes major lag... almost like the app has crashed, but it doesn't... it comes back. This was on SlimBean 4.3...
I haen't tried CM or the others primarily because I reverted to 4.1.2 for stability.
My best bet on Triangle Away is to run it just before you boot into download mode... (that SHOULD work...) Samsung introduced stuff back when 4.0 came out where the triangle would get re-set whenever you'd boot into an altered recovery...
