Trying to be the good little noob that i am, i have searched all over the place and cannot find an answer to my S Beam not working in this rom. I don't have enough posts to ask in the rom's dev section so i am asking here. I have the S Beam and NFC turn on on both phones. Mine is running Domination and my wife's is running the stock rom that came with it. I went from stock to Wicked V7 and it didn't work in that one as well. Any ideas?

NFC and S Beam are turned on on both phones. Putting them back to back does nothing. Before i rooted and changed ROM's, it would make a sound and one of the screen would change and tapping the screen would transfer the file. now it does nothing. Neither phone makes the sound and the screen doesn't change.

That has got to be one of the most poorly written questions I've ever seen. With a mastery of English like that (did you mean "easiest" when you said "easys"???), how on earth do you hold a job that allows you to afford a smartphone? Holy crap. That seriously makes me sick. What's wrong with our schools...
And it's not even a real question... 'best' isn't an "at everything" thing, or there would only be one ROM, because the rest would all be 'worse'. You need a specific question if you are looking for any kind of meaningful answer.
I'm sad to say I'm interested in the answers to this topic, which is why I read it myself... let me try wording it better so that you don't simply get pummeled by people making fun of you:
Of the Jellybean ROMs out there:
What's the most stable ROM?
What's the ROM closest to stock Google Jellybean?
What's the most built-out, tweak-able Jellybean ROM (including features not in stock Google JB), and how does it compare in stability to the most stable ROM?
How do the new Sprint/Samsung leaks compare to these?
My bad I didnt proof read everything I sent it out but you say whatever you want not going to hut my feeling any I got other thing to do besides pick ob people instead of trying to help someone isnt that what this site is for to help people and pick on people and im running tw jb now but either doesnt matter to me just looking for a better rom

Note the Sprint leaks are Touchwiz - should indicate a JB OTA update coming soon if you didn't want to install one custom. The latest ROMS are pretty clean - cleaner than the ICS final release leak for the Epic 4G Touch was, so that may be forthcoming soon.
I believed I've lightly touched on the question, and being in and around this forum the last year my android knowledge is increasing( at a turtles pace but increasing) everyday. My thing is I just came back to samsung with the siii two weeks ago so I'm new again it seems like to the functions and what not. What I' curious to know is are JB roms able to use the wifi tether? If so which ones? I go into android development and search the forum and so many come up I'm confused as to which does which. I'm under the understanding that only ICS roms can wifi tether. I'm on stock rooted so as of now I'm pretty good on the wifi tether but I'm so eager to flash another rom so again I search in the android development forum here for ICS ROMs and I get alot of them that have ICS and JB in the title so I'm like SUPER confused as to which ones will work with the wifi tether? My job kinda prevents me from fully reading thru all the OPs to find out which ones will work with wifi tether, so far the only roms I've found with just ICS in the title are a criskelo (sorry if I mispelled) and a GOODNESS ROM. I dl the goodness ROM but when I try to copy to my sd card I get an error that the device not recognized or something which is obsurd because I drag and drop music to my phone almost daily smh. Well anyway not to deviate off subject can anybody help a "Playa" out?
You have to use a modified version of WiFi tether and it works on all ROMs.

If you're looking for the note 2 app, you might have better luck asking the question in note 2 forum. The app that's been posted here has worked well for the SG3....not sure if it'll perform the same on the Note 2

Me again.
I posted a few hours ago about a problem with my SMS and text messages not being sent if they were over 160 characters. After receiving help about that and since I'm trying to hit my 10 post mark, I figured I'd make another thread about the other problem I'm having.
So I'm running LiquidSmooth JellyBean 4.2.1 Beta 2 on my Sprint Galaxy S3 and I love it. The only problem I am having is that my headset, a basic Skull Candy headset with the button to stop/play music, mute/unmute calls and also fast forward and rewind music does not seem to be working. I mean I can hear music through them fine and the mic works fine for calls, but the button no longer works on this custom ROM. It was working fine on 4.1.1 stock.
Anyone else have this issue? Any help would be appreciated. It's not a big deal but it is nice being able to cut off my music without even taking out my phone.
Its most likely because JB 4.2 is still in development and doesn't have all the hardware features of the stock ROM built in yet
Definitely sounds like this is the issue since you said you had no problems on a TW rom

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I figured that, though I was hoping for some better news. I'm new to the android world but I was hoping someone came up with something that I can flash and bingo, my button works again
It's not a huge issue, just a small inconvenience really.

Yeah I know what you mean...but the good thing is that there are many talented devs working on this and even if they still cant get it, Samsung will be releasing 4.2 for the S3 sometime soon, so they can build from that if necessary

I have just switched back to the gs3 from the Note 2 because I S3 has so many great AOSP Rom's available and the size of the Note 2 was becoming somewhat of an inconvenience for day to day use. After flashing Baked Black Bean which was amazingly smooth, I discovered that HDMI out was not functioning, and I use HDMI almost every day so it's an almost necessary feature for me. I also tested Illusion, Slim Bean, and Liquid Smooth and I had no luck with HDMI out.. I'm thinking I won't be having any luck with this on 4.2, but I was hoping maybe someone may know how to get it working, or maybe there's a kernel I could flash that would allow it? Any advice would be appreciated.
Can anyone confirm HDMI out working on any AOSP Rom's, even 4.1 would be great! Thanks in advance to anybody who may be able to help

I tried Jelly Bam & really thought that might have HDMI functioning since it has the TW launcher, but no such luck. I even tried switching to lean kernel on Baked Black Bean, but that was a no go too. . I really think it's probably the AOSP kernels that don't support it, so I think I'm out of luck.
You should ask the dev if it supports hdmi

Can you customize the navbar to add more buttons / change shortcuts? That's a feature I can't live without.
nevermind, saw my answer in the other thread. it's aokp based so yes it does.
Any plans to update it to a 4.2 base? I would prefer to stay on the latest.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm definitely checking this out when I wake up, downloaded and ready to go! But just curious, also yes that is toro ported and works just fine.
Edit: Fantastic ROM, has done stuff I've wanted for months.. and that's where it ends. I honestly will not use this ROM until it changes base. AOKP is the worst, that's my opinion but you got yourself a fantastic ROM here. If these apps and various other apks aren't framework dependent then I'll use some in a different ROM.
Again amazing ROM, you have done what I've been trying to do for months and namely the walkman widget is one. I hope you change the base.

It is great, but a little laggy. Will it get faster in the future? As well as this, the themes do not work. Any way to fix this? I am not trying to be mean, and by NO means am I a developer. I am amazed how you got this to work, and just want to help.
EDIT: The lag fixed itself, I dont know what happened. That is fine. Only problem is It wont reboot after first successful boot. It probably is Android Tweaker Pro. It is a great app, but also caused my stock rom to randomly reboot.

To answer a few of your questions. (Im updating thread now to)
1. I do plan on updating to 4.2 just need to update the code a bit and wait for the lockscreen to get ported.
2. Yes its based on AOKP 4.1.2
3. My rom is different because im going to take the time to keep it updated with anything new and im always constantly working on new ports to add to it. Its also more featureful, and its going to support toro and toroplus as soon as i get 4.2 working.
4. WHY YOU HATE AOKP SO MUCH? JK im using any base that i find most stable, im pretty sure im going to switch it for the 4.2 update since AOKP is constantly releasing updates for it and it will be hard to keep up with it.
5. Lag? I really have not noticed any lag besides the Xperia live wallpaper, thats sony's fault for not optimizing the app properly.
This ROM is running great. Loaded lean kernels latest stable 4.8 and all is good. A nice break from AOSP.

Oh, I've never heard of this then lol
The AOKP hate, its opinion but on both devices I've owned they been just so horrible and cheesy.. I don't like that swag button. The features are lacking. Honestly I'm on a stable base of 4.2.2, using Orca. The features are just amazing. I'm guessing because I tried the apks is that a lot of this framework doesn't really work for 4.2.2? I mean this is basically an Xperia ROM. I'm really impressed, I'm really hoping we can eventually get an actual port but I doubt it.
Secretly "I want a W8 port" love the style they use. Call me whacky lol.. But this is awesome you've made a breakthrough, or well your the only person who technically cares to do something like this. So I appreciate it this a lot man.
Edit: 4.1 doesn't bother me, we basically miss out on the status bar features. Just the base.

Just a quick note of congratulations and thanks, +Hyperrunner. I've been with Android since the first G1s were shipped, and this port reminds me of all the really inventive, well-done ports that we saw for the G1 back when other devices and models began to appear. I've been waiting for a really cool port to put on the GNex (which has had excellent but slightly bland firmware as stock from the beginning), and this Xperia port of yours really hits the spot. I think the AOKP base was a great choice. If it plays well with Linux Deploy and continues to be stable, this will become my primary ROM. Thanks a bunch, you deserve donations for your contribution to the Android community!
Thank you this ROM is pretty sweet love the look. Nice to have something other than stock for once

Yes, bravia engine is always on its more of a configuration then an app. Its always one and it helps display pictures better.
