Hey guys, I bought my captivate glide around a year ago, and put in an unlock code to work with t-mobile...
Everything had been working fine (except for mms), until today.
Then came the grey screen that I thought i had gotten rid of.
It just happened suddenly too, when I started charging the phone in the car.
Worked in the morning, dead in the evening.
I thought that once you put in the unlock code, it's unlocked forever?
Or is there something that I don't know about?
Thanks.
This phone sometimes lock again, dont know why, just use your unlock code again.
So basically if I don't have the code, I'll have to buy it again... D:
Thanks!

Hi guy, I had a i927 that I unlocked. I had flashed it with stock rom and custom roms several times after I unlocked it, and I had no problem whatsoever.
I sold this phone after using it for some 2 weeks or so. The person I sold it to said they dropped it into water, and after letting it dry, Its now asking for network unlock key. How is this possible? i just cannot understand. The person has no knowledge of hacking nor about android system.
I can unlock the phone again, but I just dont understand how its asking for unlock key again. anynone?
My Glide asked my for the unlock key some days after unlocking for no reason.
Similary after upgrading to ICS.
So I think there is no reason to worry, just re-enter the unlock key.

yea i guess so
I can confirm this as well. The person i bought the Glide from told me he had purchased it unlocked and has tested it to work with 2 different carriers. But as soon as i inserted my SIM card it asked me for network unlock key. So i'd to purchase it as the seller did not have it. I've also read somewhere that people have been facing problem with Samsung devices asking them for the key randomly after reboots and flashing.
A good advice i followed from somebody on the forum is to write the unlock kep on my battery so i won't loose it ever .
i just recently got my unlock code for my 900 and once i unlocked it everything went well for a week. Then suddenly(not sure when it happen) my phone stopped reading my sim.. I just got this new sim a couple of days ago from tmobile and it was working fine, but now the phone doesnt read any sims, ive tried 3 so far and no luck. Ive even flashed the oem rom back to it and still no luck.. Not sure what to do now. But the phone still picks up wifi and works normally besides no reading sim cards.

Doesn't matter if it's unlocked, or you don't have an at&t account. Pop in your IMEI to check warranty, fill out the form. Nokia will send you a PDF with instructions and a free UPS 2 day air label. Ship it to Nokia, they'll fix it in a few days and mail it back 2 day air. They have great CS. Someone will call you before you ship it to see if you have any questions, then when it comes back the same person will call you to do a "Health Check" on the phone making sure the issue was resolved. I just did this last week or so on my unlocked 900.
Hey everybody, I´ve been having more problems than anticipated with my Dinc2. Basically what happened was this:
I had a phone that I bought new, unlocked, and used on the GSM network this past summer while abroad. (Verizon). However, I had dropped it to the point where the audio jack ceased to work and thus had to take it back in November for a replacement under the Best Buy warranty.
Now, in November I jailbroke the phone again, and I still have the code that I used to do it. Or at least I think I did it successfully, because I never checked with a real SIM card. After (possibly) getting rid of the SIM lock, I rooted, got S-off and flashed the radio following the instructions here, which had been working great for the past few months in the US (CDMA). Now I´m running MIUI on Android 2.3.5 and the baseband version is 20.27W.30.0811U_1.09.01.0622 and a kernel of 2.6.35.14.
Now I´m abroad again, working in Spain for the next several months. My first issue occured when I arrived and tried to use an SD card. Guess what! It would appear there´s a sim card lock. It doesn´t recognize sim cards when they are inserted, nor does the unlock code I got back in November unlock the phone.
It gets better.
The phone doesn´t show an IMEI number, nor is there an IMEI number on the sticker on the back of the phone-just a Serial Number and an MEID. Also, since it was a replacement phone under warranty it was probably a refurb, and I don´t have any other packaging on which the IMEI could appear. As a result I have no friggin´ clue how to get the lock off and allow me to use the 3g network as before.
Should I try flashing the stock rom and radio, or just the stock RUU, and see if I can get the unlock code to work?
Or is it hopeless and in that case should I give up and buy a ****ty candy bar phone?
Thanks in advance!

I had a similar scenario while I went to NZ. I thought I unlocked my phone prior to leaving, but didn't. I called verizon tech support and got a new code, plugged into the settings and then I was able to insert the prepaid SIM I bought. Here is the non 1-800 number for you to call (I had to get my brother-in-law to call them and get a non 1800 number because it is not listed on their website): 1-908-559-4899.
Try that and hopefully they can get you a new code to use. Good luck.

I just talked to Tech support today and got an unlock code... it´s not working however. I´ve put in a card, and it doesn´t show up. When I go to the SIM Lock under Options>Security, it says the code I enter is incorrect. Also, the phone shows no signal. Could it be that I just flashed a bad radio that supported CDMA and not GSM? Or is it something with MIUI? I was pretty certain that both the radio and the ROM were fine for GSM networks...

I got that to work. Thank you! I later installed CM7 to try it out and surprisingly enough that didn´t work.
AOKP did for me-although they are both confirmed to be working with GSM? Anyway, I realized I never flashed gapps with the AOKP, so I tried to flash with the latest version (no coffee, late night) and ended up tweaking the install. Anyway, I re-flashed and I have to say that this setup (AOKP with Nova) is the slickest setup I´ve ever used! It´s been an intense couple days flashing ROM´s, reading about all the stuff that kept popping up, but then end result is so worth it!
Anyway, I´m off to go caress my telephone...oh yes.

I've tried a few services online and none of them can unlock (sim/network) my LG G4 H812 (Canada). Abit long story, but I bought this new from WIND a few months ago, but switched to another carrier (Mobilicity) recently and unlocked it fine. But soon, the G4 had issues so I received a warranty replacement with a different IMEI. During this warranty process, the service center asked who the original provider was, so I said "WIND". I assume that meant that the replacement was locked to WIND again.
OK, np I thought, I would just get the replacement and unlock it again. But for some reason no one is able to unlock it. Is it because this new phone has never been activated with any carrier..? How am i supposed to do it? I no longer have the WIND sim either.
Thanks,

I'm having this exact same issue. My LG G4 was bought brand new from Wind about a year ago, but was sent in for repair through Wind's warranty service. I had the bootlooping issue, so my phone received a new motherboard, and subsequently a new IMEI. For resale purposes, I tried to SIM unlock the phone through multiple third-party services with no luck. I then tried asking Wind for the code directly, which they didn't have (I assume this is because it is a brand new IMEI), so Wind told me they'd request a code directly from LG. I received the unlock code a few days later, but even that code doesn't work. I'm honestly stumped, and my phone's now down to only 2 SIM unlock attempts remaining. Did you ever end up having any success with your phone? Were you eventually able to get it unlocked?

What issue did you have with it to need it repaired in the first place? Since the unlock code that I received from LG directly didn't work for me, I'm a little hesitant about using one of my last two unlock attempts on cellunlocker.net, a third-party service. BUT, seeing as they worked out for you, I'm somewhat hopeful.

Got a used phone from an ebay seller and havent been able to activate it. When it got it, it worked perfectly fine. I had no phone number on it yet. The phone that I was originally using completely broke. Is there any way of being able to root this phone without odin or anyway possible of getting past the original owner login screen. Really would like to be able to get back to the phone screen rather than having to contact the seller etc
