I have an issue that I hope someone can shed light on.
My Galaxy Nexus works flawlessly with headphones and speaker, but if to connect to my Stereo it cuts out after a few seconds. I've tried different wires, but the same thing happens. Its weird because it doesn't happen with my headphones. Does it sound like a hardware or software problem? Any insight would be appreciated.
I'm running AOSPA 3.1 in my GN GSM

Look at a logcat of the headphones disconnecting. It's probably reading as the line out being disconnected. If so you should try a different kernel.
You were right! Thanks. I haven't done a logcat, yet. But, I switched kernels and it worked without a hitch. I was using AK Cylon.710.422. I'm going to reflash AK to logcat to pass it on the dev. Thanks, again. So glad it wasn't a hardware issue

I have the same exact issue I really hope there is a fix for this. If not then i hope it's something that won't happen on a new phone when i exchange it.

Did you guys ever figure this out? I just started experiencing this EXACT problem yesterday. I'm wondering if it has to do with the extended battery because I just installed it the night before. I will have to swap out the battery later tonight to check.
Hello,
I think something is wrong with my nexus. The battery charger from Samsung wont charge very good. When I use the phone while charging it doesn't charge. And I hear buzzing sounds when it charges. Normally I hear that only when my charger is plugged in the power but not in the phone itself. I run aokp B33. Do you know if something is wrong?

Your options are:
1) Change back to stock and see if that resolves
2) Change it to a different ROM see if that resolves
3) Get a replacement if 1 and/or 2 fails
Although, it does sound like hardware related to me...
The "buzzing" happens with most of our chargers if you're talking about the high pitch whine.
But how could it be hardware related.. I didnt do anything different.

Take the advice and run with it. If you don't help yourself troubleshoot then why ask? That is a very common troubleshooting method to return x hardware/software to factory specifications. You took it out spec putting custom software on it.
sent with 3g courage. better recognize.
Im just asking it myself. Take the advice and run with it? You were such a good help. Just restored my nandroid backup from a week ago and did a battery pull and I see it charging faster.

got the high pitch thing too with my charger... but I was told that isn't good for the phone... and I realized I had 35°-38° before the sound, and now 45° up to 50° while charging... I'm going to replace it, I just hope it doesn't cost the world xD I already gave samsung €600

Ok... So I have the Blueant Q2 and i'm having problems with the quality. When connected listening to music, if I put the phone in my pocket the BT cuts in and out.. Not to mention if I walk a few feet from my phone. When I had my Vibrant I could walk atleast 30ft with out issue. I have the Ballistics case installed. I didn't know if I was the only person having this issue. Could it be a modem issue. I have had the BT replaced thinking it was bad and have reset it many times trying to clear the problem but no go. I thanks for any assistance.

What rom / kernel your running?

Wicked... Stock kernel.. But it did the same thing with frosty and stock stock.. Thinking maybe I try with out the case.

I actually have the same case. And never had issues with BT connection only audio quality as in a static sound but with KT kernel and Ktweaker it gives an option to bump up your min MHZ when BT is paired and usually clears up the static for me. Although on some occasions on my JVC head unit it will disconnect and reconnect when in use thats about it but that's rare.

Hi everybody, It's been a week since I bought my GN, and I am already spamming the forum with questions... Should be a good thing isn't it?
Here it is. When I connect my GN to my car's bluetooth handsfree kit sometimes it disconnects without a reason, just to reconnect seconds later. It doesn't happen everytime, but when it does, it never stops, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting and it never ends.
I took a logcat, but I'm not able to read out the problem, maybe some experienced use could see the problem.
I'll have to take the car to my mechanic to see if the problem is in the radio, but I'd like to know before that moment if something's wrong with the phone (compatibility issue? ROM/Kernel problem?).
Thank you all for your attention, I'm attaching the logcat!
Here is another logcat, maybe more precise than the previous one.
Did you try with another car, another phone ?
What's your ROM and which kernel ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The car never gave me problems with my old phone, a galaxy ace..
I'm on cyanogenmod 10, latest nightly, with Franco kernel, r300.

And with another ROM ?

Didn't try yet... But I checked with cm10 stock kernel and result was the same!
Could something be evicted from the logcat?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I don't think it's a kernel issue, rather the ROM
And the only thing I can see in the logcat is that your phone can't pair with your car

I just picked the phone up and like it so far. However, when I plug my aux cable into it to play my music and calls through my car stereo, the microphone mutes. I'm coming from a Note ll from t-mo and didn't have this issue. The cable is a high quality monster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this has been an issue of some sort or another for others but I haven't been able to find a fix so far, and I've run out of ideas.
Thank you everyone.

Idk if it's just me but I've always seen this functionality be the case. I am fairly certain it was the case with my note 2 (tmobile) and definitely the case with my s3 (tmobile).

Not sure if I follow correctly, but I use my Note 3 (and did use my Note 2 as well as my previous Galaxy S's) often just plugged into my car stereo with a regular mini-jack AUX cable and the microphone seems to work just fine, since people can hear me without a problem.
As it turns out, that wasn't my only sound issue a couple of days later. My phone also decided it would mute the system volume and lock the slider for some unknown reason. I used a Samsung tech support chat and had to wipe the cache in the system recovery menu. Both issues seem to be solved for now. Thank you for your help. xda is an invaluable resource.
