Charging port doesn't work either wtfrak....I'm headed to Verizon tomorrow I guess. This really really pisses me off

I have the same exact issue I really hope there is a fix for this. If not then i hope it's something that won't happen on a new phone when i exchange it.

This morning everything is working again...I'll keep an eye on it. I hope yours is working again too. Let us know.

Well it is always on and off for me. It isn't consistent at all. I have a problem with phone calls too. Its quite annoying lol

Did you guys ever figure this out? I just started experiencing this EXACT problem yesterday. I'm wondering if it has to do with the extended battery because I just installed it the night before. I will have to swap out the battery later tonight to check.

GN extremely low ringer volume?

Hey everyone, I looked around and didn't see anyone asking about this. Basically I am just needing to know if I need to do a warranty exchange or if the phone is working as designed.
I am coming from a Atrix, and it had the best speaker of any phone over ever had. Now I have the Galaxy nexus and it is very hard for me to hear the phone ring at all, or if I am watching a movie in a room with no noise it, it is hard to hear...
Is this normal? Anyone able to compare it to the Atrix?
Thanks

You didn't look very hard. It's a known issue. Try volume+ from the market.
Also custom kernels with a volume fix.

Does your phone make a crackle when it vibrates?

Mine does... Sometimes... I'd call and send it back but its my fifth gnex and the first that works properly. Does anyone else's do it? Maybe its something easy to fix?

Mine does that too. It's not that bad. So I don't bother to fix it
Glad I'm not alone at least. It really isn't bad I'm just so ocd

Battery problem

Hello,
I think something is wrong with my nexus. The battery charger from Samsung wont charge very good. When I use the phone while charging it doesn't charge. And I hear buzzing sounds when it charges. Normally I hear that only when my charger is plugged in the power but not in the phone itself. I run aokp B33. Do you know if something is wrong?

Your options are:
1) Change back to stock and see if that resolves
2) Change it to a different ROM see if that resolves
3) Get a replacement if 1 and/or 2 fails
Although, it does sound like hardware related to me...
The "buzzing" happens with most of our chargers if you're talking about the high pitch whine.
But how could it be hardware related.. I didnt do anything different.

Take the advice and run with it. If you don't help yourself troubleshoot then why ask? That is a very common troubleshooting method to return x hardware/software to factory specifications. You took it out spec putting custom software on it.
sent with 3g courage. better recognize.
Im just asking it myself. Take the advice and run with it? You were such a good help. Just restored my nandroid backup from a week ago and did a battery pull and I see it charging faster.

got the high pitch thing too with my charger... but I was told that isn't good for the phone... and I realized I had 35°-38° before the sound, and now 45° up to 50° while charging... I'm going to replace it, I just hope it doesn't cost the world xD I already gave samsung €600

Please help Ear peace

My ear peace was working great and now all of the sudden the volume is running really low and cant turn it up any more. Im running jelly bean is my speaker done or something else
how did the problem start. were you installing a wet screen protector?
Nope nothing I was talking on the phone and the ear peace started to get really low so I thought I hit the volume rocker but when I checked it was all the way up. This sucks I'm going to try to flash another rom to see if that fixes it

If that doesn't help, the ear piece may have gone bad. Also, try several different kernels.

Finally got it to work I flashed a couple of kernels and the speaker finally started to work. Thanks

Good to know that the problem is resolved.
I have the same issue.
Which kernel help fix the problem?

Internal Mic mutes with aux cable plugged in

I just picked the phone up and like it so far. However, when I plug my aux cable into it to play my music and calls through my car stereo, the microphone mutes. I'm coming from a Note ll from t-mo and didn't have this issue. The cable is a high quality monster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this has been an issue of some sort or another for others but I haven't been able to find a fix so far, and I've run out of ideas.
Thank you everyone.

Idk if it's just me but I've always seen this functionality be the case. I am fairly certain it was the case with my note 2 (tmobile) and definitely the case with my s3 (tmobile).

Not sure if I follow correctly, but I use my Note 3 (and did use my Note 2 as well as my previous Galaxy S's) often just plugged into my car stereo with a regular mini-jack AUX cable and the microphone seems to work just fine, since people can hear me without a problem.
As it turns out, that wasn't my only sound issue a couple of days later. My phone also decided it would mute the system volume and lock the slider for some unknown reason. I used a Samsung tech support chat and had to wipe the cache in the system recovery menu. Both issues seem to be solved for now. Thank you for your help. xda is an invaluable resource.
