If there's anything I hate more than snot dripping down my nose in a snowstorm, is not being able to use my phone while out in the cold. Back before capacitive touchscreens it wasn't too complicated of an endeavor to place a phone call because you could bang your fingers on the buttons to make a phone call through your gloves. Now it is more complicated than an adult trying to open a child-proof pill bottle.
Newer Technology hopes to change all that. Ok, maybe not the snot dripping thing (or the child-proof pill bottle problem for adults), but they have come up with some gloves which enable you to use your touchscreen while out in the cold AND keep your fingertips from going numb. They call them "NuTouch Gloves" and they are available for purchase on Amazon. They market these for iCrap devices, but they obviously work just as well on all touchscreen devices.
These gloves do in fact work. I am able to slide my finger across my Galaxy S III and Note 10.1 just as if my fingers were naked. I haven't once had an issue with having to duplicate a swipe or a touch due to these gloves thanks to the special electricity-conducting fibers on the finger tips. I did, however, have issues with my hands becoming cold as these gloves are not very thick. They also make my hands more slick, thus causing me to lose control of my phone a few times. Luckily no damage was done, but my life flashed before my eyes a few times. Even with a rubber case on my phone it was still slick.
Overall for the price you can get these for at Amazon, roughly ~$10USD, they are a bargain and make a great gift.

Those look almost identical to the AGloves pair I got when I started playing Ingress.

Yeah I saw those on Amazon as well. These are nice and work - just don't give me a lot of warmth but they do the job.
Cool! Thanks for the post :cyclops: My mom's looking for a glove like this

Worth buying, and which is recommended for online store?
How's the stitching on them? I have a pair of touch screen gloves but they were cheap, 3 dollars from ebay, and the stitching is horrible! And they're the ones with the silver tips so it says to the world "hey i'm using touch screen gloves". .. ugly. Thanks for the review. I may consider these.

The stitching is good on these - good quality in comparison to some others I have used.
"Cuh-hold"? "Coould"? What is this "cold" of whence you speak? It's ~60 out- a bit chilly for the morning, but it's still a little early yet!
... but seriously, thanks for the review; I've got family back East that could probably use a few pair of these.

I like armbands for working out but I hate those ones with the clear plastic face and that seems to be all that is out there for the Note.
I was at a local Academy Sporting Goods and I was surprised to find a good carrier for running. It is the Spibelt (www.spibelt.com). It is a stretchy waist pouch with a stretchy belt and I was shocked when it managed to fit the Note. It looks like a python that just ate a paperback book but it works and it works well.
I went to the gym to lift and I ran 3 miles with it. At the gym you constantly have to shift it around so your weight is not on it. While running it does not bounce and I can forget it is there (except for Pandora pumping through bluetooth headphones).
I've used a ziploc bag to protect it from sweat and I have some "loksaks" on order that are basically just heavy duty ziplocs.
Very happy. Running with the Note was my biggest concern about buying this monster and now I have a good solution.
I'll post pics when I get back home to camera.

Looking forward to the pics.

The surprising thing is how well it rides. I literally forget it is there when running. It rides close to the body and does not bounce.
Sorry if the pics are huge...

I see a few Spibelts on the website, which version is yours?
Not sure. I think most of the variations are just color and/or waterproofing. I should have kept the packaging. I think it is just the basic "spibelt" http://store.spibelt.com/Spibelt-p/spibeltparent1.htm.
I'll try to swing by the store and get a model number tomorrow or Friday.
David
I bought the water-resistant spibelt from a while back for my EVO4g, and was shocked to see the Note was able to fit just barely. But definitely works.
I can't seem to make any comments.
omg sick
Thanks this is exactly what i was trying to look for can't believe i found it thanks to you!!!
So lame when people post pictures as a post.
Sorry for digging this up, can anyone please tell me which spibelt will fit the note the normal 6.5" or the large 8.9" ? Thanks
I just got the iFaraday stylus for $12 and its great so far. The tip is made of cloth and slides great on the screen while wiping off fingerprints. It works with barley any pressure, even on the soft menu and back buttons. So if your looking for the perfect stylus I think I found it.
what do you use it for?
I mostly use it for swype text input, I can get up to 40 words per min
I guess its not the greatest stylus for drawing, but I wouldn't know because I never draw

I was thinking of getting a stylus for my phone, but it's not like the Note where there is a place to put it, it has to be carried around in a pocket.
It's too much of a pain since I would probably forget it all the time.

That's a good point. I really only use it at home. I don't use it on the go. Some have that plastic piece that fits in your 3.5mm headphone jack on a tie on the stylus which is a decent solution

is the tip sharp enough for draw... say in S memo?
or its tip as big as finger
http://adonit.net/product/jot/
I bought one of these awhile ago, for drawing... and the JOT is how you do a precise stylus. anything else (as far as I have tried) is like drawing with a piece of sidewalk chalk.

Agreed--I just bought one of these as well, and was pleased that (notwithstanding some warnings) it works quite well even through my Skinomi screen protector. Makes Graffiti entry quite reliable too. Not only that, but I bought the Mini version, and it fits in the other pocket of my SIII's belt case, so I can carry it everywhere. {ProfJonathan}

My review of these gloves I've now had for a couple of weeks....
Glider Gloves! These things are about the best touch screen gloves I've ever used. I've got the Urban style which is the thinner version just because I use them only for short walks to and from my car, and outside for 15-20 minutes at a time while taking my breaks at work. I prefer the thinner version because I like the extra dexterity you get from them, and I live in Washington state where it doesn't get extremely cold (no worse than 25 degrees usually).
These glove work excellent with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+... I never seem to have any problems navigating between menu's or texting. Also I might mention the customer service is great! When I mentioned the Large's may be too big, Glider Gloves sent me a new pair of Mediums right away.
The only parts of them I have issues with, are the slight fitment problems having to do with too much palm material. Now this part of my review is completely relative because everyone's hands are different shapes and sizes, and it would be silly to knock a product that's made to be pretty much universal. I'm 6'1 @ 235lbs... I feel like I have hands proportioned to my height and weight. I ordered the Larges and they fit pretty well but there was quite a bit extra of palm material. When I received the mediums, I enjoyed the extra dexterity from the tighter fingertips, but alas, the length of the fingers was too short and again still extra palm material. At this point I haven't figured out which ones I like more, the mediums or larges. But aside from the sizing issues with "MY" hands, the quality is top notch!
I especially like the rubberized material on the palm area. It provides a very nice grip when holding my phone or driving with the steering wheel. I'm assuming the silver thread you see in the glove is the conductive material that lines the glove giving you the touch capability with capacitive phones. It feels no different than the black threading and actually gives it a nice aesthetic look that's pleasing to the eyes. On a side note, my jacket has some velcro on it, so watch out if yours does because the velcro definitely sticks to the gloves and will make your glove tips all fuzzy after repeated contact with velcro, just a heads up
Overall these are the best touchscreen gloves I've owned so far and think I'll even be ordering some for the wifey. Aside from my personal fitment issues, I think the gloves are made of great material and workmanship.
