I was browsing on here and found a statusbar mod. I flashed it not realizing it was for Sprint and now my SystemUI crashes on startup. I downloaded the ROM again but cannot extract just that apk from it. Can someone post from system/app for me so I can try to flash it back and hopefully correct the issue?
I was running stock TouchWiz.
Thanks in advance!
Just flash your ROM again. Only wipe cache and system

It's the factory ROM, so the only means of flashing is with Odin. I can't reset my Google Wallet app because SystemUI crashes when doing so, so if I do flash, I will lose my Secure element?
Then find a 4.1.1 stock ROM in the android development section and flash it through your custom recovery. Are you rooted?

Download it from here. Luckily I was messing around with it the other day and still had the original saved. You will need root explorer or zip install.
You can extract apps from nandroids using nandroid manager , titanium back up or just extract from rom using 7zip

As far as your secure element, I have never once reset Google wallet from my phone. I forget every single time and flash a new ROM. All I do is go to wallet.google.com on my computer, on the left click devices and then disable the device. Google says it's been disabled and then I reinstall as usual on the new ROM already on my phone.
I have never run into any issues this way and I still maintain my secure element. I use my Google wallet regularly.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but the above works for me every time. Use at your own risk.

Don't factory reset, because it won't fix your problem. Factory reset doesn't touch the system partition, where the file was deleted from.
Make sure after you copy the file to the system partition, then set permissions for the file, otherwise it won't work. Using root explorer, set permissions so that they are the same as all the other apps in the apps folder.
Then reboot and that should fix your problem.
Thanks guys, I installed using rootexplorer and it worked!

So two days ago I rooted + installed cm10, I was having some issues so I did a dark side wipe and re-installed cm10 after that I didn't not think I had wiped my phone properly so I went back and did the factory rest wipe... Well oops... Now my phone won't do a darkside wipe or install cm10. It just sits on the installing text. I was able to use my back up which also seems very bugged, when I try to restart it just sits on the goodbye screen (just one of the big things I've noticed). What do I need to do to fix this, please explain in laymen terms so I can fix this, thank you and sorry for my ignorance....

How do you do this? I assumed the only option was to use the back up I created.
Just go to recovery wipe/factory reset, wipe cache, then under mounts format storage

Get it into download mode, and flash a newer recovery with Odin. Then flash any rom with the newer recovery. And don't use ROM manager until you know a bit more of what you're doing.

Hey all,
I have been flashing roms for a while now but never had this problem. Recently I started receiving this error message every time I open play store after signing in.
First message:
"Unfortunately google account manager has stopped"
Second message (after i try to open playstore from my app drawer):
"Error Retrieving Information From Server [RH--01]" This happens right after I flash Jedi XX.
When I flash the Stock firmware for my T-Mobile Note II it works. However, when I try to a New Rom ( Currently JediXX) it stops working. I dk what else to do. I have tried everything from clearing the cache and installing a fresh version of Stock... but still nothing!
Help me! I dk what is going on. Should I format the SD card using CWM? and then flash stock ROM? and then flash JEdi XX?
Anyone??
Can anyone help?

Jedi XX does not come with gapps.. you have to flash it separately to get play store and all the other google apps

JEDI XX (like every other Touchwiz rom) doesn't need a separate gapps file when flashing... just flash Jedi X, Jedi Master, stock rooted, or any other non AOSP/AOKP/etc rom (without any Gapps) and your Play store will work fine -- unless the custom rom "calls" for a Gapps install (and please don't confuse goody bag with gapps) then you shouldn't have to flash a gapps file

Just checking, you know titanium backup can save all your apps and data? Flashing a kernel, then flashing stock back over it isn't exactly a fresh start and may leave you with the odd strange issue. Or not.
Still I'd recommend backing up your stuff and wiping everything, especially the system partition and doing a clean install.
That's what I would do anyway. Just my opinion tho.

Hi all, just have a quick question regarding my nandroid backup and restore. Every time I try to restore a nandroid backup of my phone, mostly everything works, however, Amazon App Store will stop allowing me to download any apps at all saying that there is a problem with the connection to the internet error (with 3g or wifi) and my swiftkey will popup in the notification drawer saying that there aren't anymore language packs and when trying to install the language packs back on, they don't download. either. WEIRD thing is, the Play Store still works properly. Only those two apps have issues. Any idea what is wrong with my nandroid backup or restore?
Phone Config:
Galaxy S 4 M919V (Wind Mobile)
Wind Stock 4.4.2 VLUFNB5 Factory Image/Kernel
Rooted with CF-Auto-Root-jfltetmo-jfltetmo-sghm919.tar
Recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.1-jfltecan
Knox counter tripped 0x1
Anyone see a problem with my config?
Troubleshooting done already
Changed recovery to philz_touch_6.26.6-jflte.tar, tried backup and restore... SAME problem.
Tried Uninstalling and Re-installing apps (with TiBu and Settings App Manager)... still same problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Try wiping delvik and cache in recovery then reboot. Or you can also try to clear data and cache in those 2 apps and reboot.

Could it be possible that my recoveries aren't completely compatible with my stock firmware? Possibly, a bad flash of recovery? or could it be that the bootloader is screwing something up since the knox bit is tripped? Even when trying to use skipsoft unified android toolkit for my s4, there are backup options that are disabled...
I'd like to get to the bottom of this because not having a proper backup of my system is kicking my ocd's a$$

Also attempted that and the same issue. Another thing is, Swiftkey is the actual paid version from app store, so the possibility of having a corrupt apk is slim to none.
Could it possibly be a problem with those specific apps (swiftkey and amazon app store) in which they dont nandroid backup properly or with these custom recoveries that dont backup everything needed for those 2 apps?

Try deleting your google account and re-installing it.
system/accounts/google tap on your account and remove it.
turn off and do a bat pull
wait abt a min and power up and go to the google account and install selecting existing account and see if the play store will work for you.
good Luck!

Well, I ended up finding that CWM_6.0.4.7_Touch_GT-I9505 worked out for me using i9505 AOSP Pre-Release from Broodplank. No problems with backup or restore most of the time. I did encounter Swiftkey having the no languages installed problem, but it manages to install the languages again without error, so all is good.
