UOT Kitchen help?

can someone hlep me figure out how to use this kitchen? it seems pretty simple and i do as it was said in the thread but everytime i upload framwork or systemui or anything it says failed so i wanted to see if anyone could give me what settings they put for the downloads to work and i wanted to know if this actuallly does work for our phone
im trying to put some theme on the deodexed stock el30 mtd rom so does anyone know if this would work?

Absolutely....had a whole theme done waiting to upload the freaking Windows rebooted for updates while I been waiting 2 days for the Kitchen to start working again.

Then its probably cuz I'm on my phone its not working??
But like when I make whatever I want, let's say a battery icon, and I go to summary and press submit to kitchen does it need to load a new page or what? Do I get some kind of notification or way to know that It was Successfully submited? And how do I know what file is mine when I pick it up lol? Where is the name of myy file?
Whenever I go to pickup it says my cooked files 0?? This means its not working right lol?

Are you uploading your framework-res, systemui and twframework? Then in summary you hit submit and it tells you your filename to expect and then a link to click on to watch folr it.

Ohh I thought I only had to upload those if it said they we're required

Just one last question lol
In the upload settings all I have to change is the phone type to "galaxy" right? All the other settings r correct as they r?

That and upload system files needs to be checked. Then the boxes will appear for the 3 files it needs you to upload from your ROM.

ya i know about the 3 files
so i just made something and submitted it and now waiting to pick up
it still says cooked files 0 for some reason.. shouldnt that b a 1 now? it gave me my file name and gave me the link to the pickup page so im guessing it worked but at the pickup page it still says "Your recently cooked files (0)"
anyway.. i just wanted to ask about the status bar. Does it work for ours with our widgets? i dont see anywhere over there that lets me edit the widgets for a galaxy phone so does that mean my status bar wont have the widgets in it?

That's usually caused by the apks you've uploaded are not correct file type or are unable to be modded....or couble be corrupted

Yeah I got the sh&tF*ck error with CM7 Crystal theme. No one tried to help from their thread. They may have gotten corrupted in the upload process. Pull the clean ones straight out of the ROM's zip file.

Click the link in my sig for odexed theme guide. Works for deodexed too, just substitute the right files instead of the ones I give.

I did get something to work tho I used clean gb el30's files and put some stuff on it aand it worked like blue overscroll glow and a different font and even boot ani. So I guess ill play with it a little more some other time
I did also try to do one thing. I tried to change some app icons
I went into the email app and looked in res/drawable hdmi (or whatever it is) and replaced the png called "icon" (which had a pic of the email icon) with my own which I renamed to "icon" but when I flashed it it didn't change not sure why tho.

Its like saying "remind me"....If you tell GN "Please tell me" anything it will set an alarm...just like "remind me".

Okay I have read instructions for our devices and I'm kind of confused. Do we need to just download the. Apk file or the zip or both? Do we flash the zip in recovery and that's it? I read the instructions and I'm sorry if I'm a little slow but it just wasn't all that clear to me.

I used the M6 file from this post on that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29756226&postcount=2856 It's working great so far. The only issue I've found is that you can't exit using the back button. You need to press the home button to exit.
Also, even though the instructions say its for CWM, it's not. You can flash it using any recovery.
Download the M6 file, copy it to your SD card, reboot into recovery and flash it, then reboot and poof you're done.

You just need to flash the zip in recovery and it'll work.

Just flash the new version.

Just flashed on FreeGSM R5, works flawless.

Turned my double press home button to voice dial and not a voice anymore, I didn't like it. Flashed my TWRP back up and I'm normal again. Good luck!

Is anybody actually excited to use the multiview feature? I mean, ya its extremely awesome what this guy did and the option to have it awesome but seeing my friend have the note 2 and use the feature just seems like its not as "beneficial as it seems" maybe people can list what they would use the feature for? I see one good reason... editing build.prop and having xda open in the other window...

I could not get the wifi hotspot to work. Please post steps as to how you did.

Any one got multiview to work? I can find it under settings i flashed the zip but i cant find out how to use it i sesrch everywhere on my phone.

Once you are done, then go to twitter or something and click a link and hit "Popup window" then you can use Multi view.

It's a variant of multi-view basically.

He has 2 windows open at once, sort of like multi-view.

What's your battery life like with this? I'm just starting to use it but I was plugged in all night and now an hour after unplugging I'm already at 89%??

Not so great here either. Android system usage is very high when the screen is off.
This is like when I was running the LI8 Jellybean leak, although since this is a port, the reasons for high android system usage while screen off could very well have different causes I guess, but the symptom is the same.

I downloaded it, but there was a problem with the file. a lot of files I get from the goo.im servers seem to have the same problem. they appear corrupted and won't flash. on another thread someone mentioned that that server adds a .html extension to the file and that removing that so that it ends in .zip should fix it, but all the files i have already end in .zip and before anybody suggests otherwise, yes I've adjusted the settings on my windows computer to not hide file extensions.

Downloaded it, but couldn't get it to install. I haven't had issues with any other roms. Tried wiping the device, and the cache. Put the zip initially on the internal memory then the external sd, but just get an invalid zip error from recovery, with the image of the android on his back with a door to his stomach open and red ball figure above it. A little traumatizing really, but when I get a little more time I will flash a different recovery. Heard in the past that has cured some flashing issues. That is unless someone else has some other suggestions.

OK people I download and rezipped it on my pc, i have a lil tiny piece of experience with these un installabe cwm zips i learn that they are easy to mess for flashing when modifying them on the pc, im not a expert but it seem that they have be packed a certian way, i learned this doing my own winzipdev thing. Lol there is one file that corrupted from what it seems after repacking it myself ivevgotten it to install however people here's the bad news there is another block tmo has put up, and I did try changing the agent string like before and fail, I keep getting rerouted to that gay tether plan page...

I take no credit for this, Just found threads in other furums and wanted to put them in ours forums.
Here is a thread for GoogleHome with the search bar fixed, kept FC for people. flash the (New)googlehomev2 then after you boot up install the PrebuilGmsCore.apk file.

Please read all these instructions before proceeding, failing to do so will most likely result in stupid questions, in which case I'll have to make fun of you.
1. Every app can be installed, i.e. you don't have to copy them to /system/app.
2. In order for Google Now/Google Seach to work properly you MUST copy libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so to /system/lib, replacing the original when asked.
3. In order for the Camera to work properly (namely the photosphere) you must copy libjni_filtershow_filters.so, libjni_mosaic.so and liblightcycle.so to /system/lib.
4. Some of the apps depend on Google Services 4 in order to work. Because of this I highly suggest that you install PrebuiltGmsCore.apk before installing any of the other apps.
5. You may not be able to install Maps.apk until you uninstall the one already present in your device.
6. Anything that requires adding/replace lib files requires that you be rooted. No way around it.
7. Before replacing/uninstalling anything that's already installed on your device, I suggest you perform a backup of the original in case anything should go wrong. You've been warned!

These are just the apks, doesn't have lib files, the lib files in the links are for the camera only. The apks I don't think need them or they are built in the app itself

Yup. Followed a few of the instructions in the linked thread and everything I did worked. I didn't really care for the format so I reverted back to Nova but yeah, it worked for me.

This is really cool - love what GOOGLE NOW has become and despite a few things I would like differently, the GOOGLE HOME launcher is pretty cool.
I noticed that I have had to re-install the GOOGLE Core apk thing (whatever that is called) each time I reboot - which is kind of a pain - do you know if someone has come up with a fix that would let you install everyhting once and then you would be done with it?

I installed yesterday from a completely different perspective. Downloaded 3 separate files, home, velvet, and prebuiltcore. Click installed velvet, copied home.apk to system/app then rebooted phone. Ran fix for Google search found on phandroid. For some reason, my phone has no use for the prebuiltgmscore.apk. previous attempts renaming to gmscore and copy pasting into system/app failed for me. Weird, but I am not complaining as it work flawlessly.
