You can find the tot files for Rogers, Bell and Telus here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2036404
It must be flashed with lgnpst. I don't know if it would work to change from a Bell phone to a Telus.
I have the Telus version and used the program to downgrade to e. I then rooted, freegeed. and then installed Houstonn 's jelly bean 4.1.2. I am on Bell and it works flawlessly, way better than stock.
I am noob too,but I think you would be better off leaving it as a Bell phone and flashing jelly bean. I would be too scared.
You should be able today convert Bell to Telus and vice versa. They are both E973. But it's not necessary unless you want the carrier included bloatware.

Well, that's not really a decision we can make for you, haha. Just know that if you flash the official update, even though you can root, you won't be able to install CWM again. If you want to go back to CWM, you'll have to use unbricking method to revert to Gingerbread.
You might consider just flashing the Telus or Bell ICS flashable version that HO!NO! released instead.

Hello just had a question about the Rogers version of the phone:
http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wire...normal&productId_Detailed=OPTIMUSGBLK&N=52+11
wondering if this is same as the att or sprint version or a different one all together?
bottom line:
when ill need to flash things which version should i choose?
I believe it's an entirely different version altogether, Rogers has their own version and Bell/Telus have their own as well.
Rogers is the E971.
I'm not really sure what version you'll need to flash with.
E971
Perfect thanks for the info

LG uses a locked bootloader on all versions of ICS, so as a result there is no direct way to install CWM. It requires that you downgrade to Gingerbread first and then install CWM and then go to any ROM from there. Just follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044645

The ROM's available through that thread are actually P936 ROM's. As far as I understand there really isn't a difference between the P936 and the P930 other than carrier and region, the P930 I believe is US AT&T only and the P936 is everyone else but I could also be over simplifying it. You can go with any ROM for the P930 / P936 just make sure you have the correct baseband / APN for your region / carrier.

All p93(x) rom's are compatible with each other, just make sure you flash the correct baseband (modem) for your telco and set apn you'll be good to go.

I had OTA update earlier that means i am on 4.1.2 (E97320e)
Does it have an impact if i want to install CM 10.1 ? or when you get to the bootloader what version of android you had before makes no difference?
Thanks !!
Freegee doesn't work to unlock the bootloader on LG's version of JB (4.1.2). To unlock the bootloader, you have to KDZ downgrade back to 4.0.4 first.
And most custom ROMs won't boot if you flash overtop of anything but 4.0.4.
