So for those of us who are waiting for ZVB OTA, post here once you get it. I think California and Florida got it so far. Maybe we can track how long it takes Sprint to send it out to everywhere! Exciting

Good to hear central or north jersey hasn't gotten it yet. I'm I'm bloomingdale/Bridgewater thru the past few days I wanted to know if its here or not. I'm unlocked rooted and have a ota blocker on. If it was here I'd be freakin to get back to stock. Anyone know when we might have a zip we can flash thru cwm? I heard it was quick I'm asking not to rush but I just wanna know should I do the method of going back to stock rooted or wait

Southern California/ L.A. County, and still havent got it. I am downloading the update from dev host though, and will try to make a flashable.zip if no one else beats me. taking forever to download (over an hour). I am testing some stuff on ZV9 to get it right, and will work on a nice rom once I get a flashable update in my hands.

True that! FF18 got old real fast I had to roll back to EL29. Breaks my heart that Jelly Bean has been released and we are still struggling to get a solid ICS update I did read reports thought in in android 5 google is considering an update model similar to windows and to bypass carriers and allow the pushing of updates directly to device. This should solve our fragmentation issue but who knows...

not entirely sure what is wrong with the new OTA but I have also have problems with the new update and when I took it to sprint, the tech said the same thing "you should root it". I told them I should but it's not my fault of hardware or software issues and after some talk (I know the guys at the store), they helped me get a replacement. Hopefully the replacement doesn't have any problems too.

a fix for what? If you don't like the ota run one of the fine, bug free ff18 based roms like blue kuban or goodness. Try cm9 or aokp you don't like those. The only reason you have a "buggy" ics build is because you choose to. That said we didn't see all of these complaints when people were running the ff18 leak, the only thing that has changed is the people running it... furthermore why are you posting on xda asking for a patch? Go to sprint users or sprint forums if that's all you're concerned with and want to complain, they'll listen to you there, I thought this was the place where we solved our own problems... not that I think there's anything wrong with ff18.... now flame away instead of spending the time to search and figure out why you're having the issues you're having when plenty of people are running ff18/ff18 based builds without difficulty or issue

I've got the Canadian version, and other than bloat apps and some carrier settings are they not the same phones for the most part? I might be talking out of my ass here, but should the devs not have too much trouble porting a custom Rom from one variant to the others.
Also, it really hasn't even been two weeks since the phone hit the market and it is already unlocked. I am making the assumption that all the variants will be getting some custom Rom love pretty soon. I'm sure it takes a bit of time.

CA stands for California and I did a little research and this is what I found.
"According to an article in the business section of my newspaper, written by Dana Hull of mercurynews.com, the California Energy Commission on Thursday will consider adopting the nation's first energy-efficiency standards for battery chargers. The Commission staff says that these new regulations could (eventually) save the state as much as 2,200 GWh per year. The new regulations will cover every form of battery charger, from cell-phone chargers to industrial-sized chargers and would go into effect by January 2013. "
EDIT: Also with the 2nd LCD thing, I have no idea what that means but I googled it and found this. Seems to be people talking about enabling the 2nd LCD, like I said I have no idea. BUT I did read a few updates for other phones that enabled the 2nd LCD is getting them ready for Jelly Bean.

I can confirm that stock v9 is unrootable meaning if you think you might want to unlock your bootloader and use custom roms its best to do so from v8. If you already upgraded to stock v9 and want to root and unlock you can use lgnpst to downgrade. This is what i did, the instructions for lgnpst are in the dev section. Theres a stock rooted v9 rom up right now so thats the way to go, plus you can get rid of bloatware.

I rooted ZV8 but left the bootloader locked, enabled supersu survival mode then ran the OTA. I was able to keep root.
