Hi!
When i want to install a new rom i make a backup from all my apps with MyBackupRoot. And then afther installing the rom i restore everything.
But if i have all my apps on my sd, then i dont have to make an apps backup, right? Is this posibble?

I want backup some of my apps with titaniumbackup, but they don't work on 1.72. Only titanum was full backuped my apps (with dalvik cache and system setings).
So I'am intresting is there any option to full backup apps with root acces from windows command-promt or android app that don't need root acces?
How can I transfer all my original apps to any new ROM that I flash? I do have titanium backup, but when I flash a new ROM it does not show up in my apps screen but it does show that it is installed on my SD Card.
Download Titanium Backup in the market. Then open Titanium and restore the apps you want, assuming you did a backup of them with Titanium prior to flashing. If you're going from a Sense ROM to AOSP, or vise versa, only restore the app and not the data (you might experience problems if you restore the data too in that scenario).
Thank you very much will definitely give that a try
I had to do a reboot after restoring all of my apps for them to show up.
Is there a way to download apps and store them in sd card? Avoiding backup and re-download all the apps everytime I flash a new ROM?
You could try to copy them to your sd card from data/app with a file explorer app. I'm not sure though if this works on an unrooted phone.
My phone is rooted. I need to store locally due to the fact that I like flashing often.

Use Titanium Backup from Market. Requiers Root. (you have, yeah. )
There you can backup all installed Apps within your settings.
And there are options to make a batch, so that you can backup and restore all apps at one time.

fyi, even if you store your apps in sd card, when you flash another rom with full wipe, you need to download your apps back (still , even the apps is there in your sdcard).
My suggestion is , download Titanium Backup, and make backup every apps installed, because you can easily restore back your apps ( with data saved - this is important especially if you play angrybirds .. lol ) even if your apps install in the system or sd card. No need to redownload back.

What a meant is that you can copy your downloaded and installed apk files from this folder to the sdcard and install them again once you flash.
or you can use MyBackup root to backup your APP and Setting, when you reinstall the OS , you can use it restore your APP and Setting too.

SMS backup is a wise choice for backing up your messages, if you change between old sense/sense 2.1/ AOSP ROMs
hi,
i think the what you need is a nandroid backup(in recovery mode), it saves the whole phone(like a snapshot)
but i would do this just once in a while, because these are quite big(300-700mb)
i would suggest you do on a regular base other backups, with apps
like TitatniumBackup can save your user apps + data, so this will not be lost
but system data(wifi spots, contacts, bookmarks, ...) could also be backuped but with care!
i can tell you how i do save all my data.
1. i do a complete nandroidbackup (if you want 2 go back from where you came)
2. a Titanium´Backup (sometimes system data could also be restored)
3. i use MyPhoneExplorer to backup my Contacts
4. MyBackup Root, to save my Sms/mms and other stuff (exept from Contact wich are put in the Google Account, i like it on the telephone memory)
Sounds a little bit much, but most of the apps have advantages at some point but also flaws on a other point!
ps.: yep i know most of them could be stored in the cloud but i like it lokal
pps.: the data is in folders on the sd(nandroid=/clockworkmod , titanium=titanium..., mybackup= /rerware)

1.) Make nandroid-backup via recovery
2.) Use Titanium Backup for the apps and system-data (menu>batch>backup all apps + system-data), SMS Backup&Restore for the SMS. After this copy all data on sd-card to your computer.
3.) Do a full wipe and flash new rom
4.) Restore apps and systemdata with titanium backup (maybe you need to download it first); (DO NOT RESTORE SYSTEM-DATA IF FLASHING A NON-SENSE-ROM WHEN COMING FROM A SENSE-ROM OR REVERSE; this can cause heavy system- problems) and SMS with SMS Backup&Restore
5.) Reboot system
6.) Have fun
wanting to install a new rom but not sure what to back up. do i use titanium backup for apps n data and rom manager to back up my rom? or a nandroid backup. will that back up everythung messages, pictures ect. also if i dont like the rom i install can i use rom manager to restore my stock rom? or do i use the nandroid restore and will my homescreen be exactly the same?
if any1 could shed some light into a good debloated sence rom it would be shound other than hensmod5
thanks
apps and data -> titanium backup
sms -> sms backup and restore
contacts -> back them up to google if you haven't already
use the same apps/google sync to restore everything after installing your new rom.
pictures are stored on your sd card, and aren't touched by ROM.
always nandroid backup before making big changes like a new ROM, either from rom manager or directly in recovery. if you want to go back just wipe everything and nandroid restore from recovery, everything will be EXACTLY the same state you left it: apps, texts, homescreens...
you can even take your nandroid backups from your sd card in clockworkmod/backup and put them on PC for safekeeping, just in case.
Yes exactly what you said provided your rooted.
Titanium backup - apps
Rom manager (clockwork recovery) - complete system backup that you can restore should anything go wrong or you wanna go back to how things are now.
Also you could sync your Calender and contacts with your Google account, goto settings then accounts and sync and make sure its selected under your Google account.
Your pictures and vids are on your SD, so will be unaffected.
Eddiehk6 beat me to it lol
PS - SENSELESS by germzii is a great debloated rom, very fast and loads of space.
U can sms backup pro for sms back up,for pics, music videos u can use box as it provide 50GB of storage.for settings and apps as said by the other members use titanium backup.
nandroid backup because it will backup everything on your phone, but not on the sd card
