How do I do that?
I'm not impressed with the notifications and alarms and ringtones on the SIII, I'm running the Goodness ROM, is there a package anywhere to get the CM sounds/ringtones and flash them, or alternatively pull them from a CM ROM and make my own installer?
I want my Cyanalarm back and my Iridium notification sounds...actually, all of the CM sounds are 100X better than these ringtones..
Grab a CM10 rom and copy the /system/media/notifications and /system/media/ringtones folders to the corresponding folders of your current stock rom...
Sweet thanks!

I just discovered BNC-GIO-v1.0-R2 rom and it looks quite promising. But most of stock apps were trimmed out. I wanted to put in again Memo but was not able to do it by copying it's apk to system/apps with root explorer and giving the apk all permissions. Does anyone know if there's another way to install stock apps on this rom?
cheers

It won't work unless it has the Samsung TouchWiz Framework like all stock ROMs have. I'm not sure what Delanoister based his rom off of, but I believe it's based off of CM7 and not the official 2.3.6 firmware. I think that BNC-GIO-R1 is based off of the official 2.3.6 firmware, so you can try that and the stock apps should work...
I mistakenly made a tune as a ringtone and now I wanna delete it.
I've looked at the Ringtones folder and then /system/audio/ringtone but I cannot find it.
My One X is running AOKP but based on 4.1.2 AOSP.
Thanks for the help
Orginal thread(Launcher) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40333841
There were questions about compatibility with some phones and roms So I decided to check some roms and some devices:
I can say... It will not work on any ICS rom.
Roms in which it will work:
°Maclaw's JB AOSP( http://maclaw.pl/) (that I am currently running) You need to delete some system apps like :Gtalk, LatinIM(keyboard;before deleting AOSP keyboard go to GPlay and download Swiftkey trial) Now you need to have like 28mb free on system, you can install it. If it's not working... Unzipp the package and put all files in system in their specific directory. After unzipp there will be a folder META-INF don't do anything with it.
After that just reboot.
° Androidarmv6's CM10.1 ROM( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804646)
Just install through CWM.
°Old Droid's CM10.1 CODENAME:BAZINGA ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062676)
Install through CWM... If it's not working do the same like at Maclaw's AOSP
°Erikas JB AOKP( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173572)
WORKING Simply CWM install
° OldDroid's Paranoidandroid(
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212062)
Install through CWM. Not installing? Do like at Maclaw's AOSP
It's also working for any CM10 rom!! :victory:
I RECOMMEND YOU TO USE AOSP OR AOKP IF YOU WANT THIS LAUNCHER BECAUSE OF LESS CRASHES, VERY RARE RESTARTS AND SMOOTHNESS :cyclops:
Now the compatible(tested) phones are :Galaxy Gio
Galaxy Fit
Galaxy Ace
And I will test it on MINI too
Credits: *Belyava for launcher+ Awesone widget
*Maclaw for his incredible smooth JB AOSP
*OldDroid for his CM10.1 and Parandroidandroid
*Erikas for his AOKP
*AND me for 6 days of flashing and reflashing ROMS

Download the stock rom and extract it, then take the system UI APK from the stock rom and install it on your phone. You can also install the sec4launcher APK from the stock rom if you don't like the super fast scrolling/wall paper scrolling of the darth rom.
I use a stock rom that I have mashed all the options from every rom together. Stock rom with jedi System UI apk/sec4 launcher, darth wallpaper + mms and a host of other apks that I just add so it makes the rom to my liking. I call it The MASH and its under 900mb so its pretty darn light for a TW rom.
nice thanks alot :good: so i just extract the apk and install it like i would any other regular apk? just want to be sure and clear!
Yes sir!
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
so i tried to install the apk from a stock deodexed rom but igave me an error message, so i used root browser to replace the darthstalker system UI with the stock one, but there are still bits left of the old system UI. Im not sure where to go or how to change. Any help would be appreciated.
Basically some toggles in settings, download icon in status bar and etc are still in my rom.
There is some way to download only the stock keyboard that comes with this rom?
I Want it so bad.
I already tested it for 2 weeks and it is great but now i'm running a touchwiz ver. and i'd like the Stock keyboard that comes with carbon rom
I'm almost sure that Carbon keyboard not working on TW. Different frameworks if i remember right.
Powered by CM11 M11 snapshot
you know if the opposite is the same? Because i tried to install a TW keyboard replacing the app in /app and it didn't work
@Seikushim If you want the latin ime keyboard like on carbon rom you can try this lightweight app+lib combo.
Attached zip down below. Not meant for flashing. Extract and put apk in system/app and .so file in system/lib. Give proper permissions and reboot. Good luck.
