HTC One XL case compatible with HTC One X? - HTC One X

Hey guys,
I know this is not a matter of life & death situation re: (bootloops, phone wouldn't turn on, bricked, etc)
Anyways,
Here at my place, I couldn't find any available case for my One X international version, all i can see here in my place are for the AT&T One XL.
I couldn't try one because it is sealed properly and kinda expensive (around 20$ minimum), so I wouldn't dare open one just to check if it fits properly.
I know that they are almost exactly the same size, but the one XL is 0.4mm taller than the One X:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4320&idPhone2=4572
I would like to know from you guys who owns the international version that tried the case for one XL if that 0.4mm would matter much.
I just dont want my case to be a bit loose.
Thanks for those who will help:angel:

I actually had a One XL case for my One X and it was fine for a bit but then it started to slide ever so slightly up and down. Since it as a silicon case, the sliding got bigger and bigger. I mean, if you're okay with a little sliding I would say go for it, but One XL cases are not exactly the best choice.

I have an Otterbox Commuter for the XL and it works fine. Though it covers the top of the camera but there is no issue with it when taking photos.

My OneX International fits the same cases as my dad's OneXL (at&t but in Australia) - His fits some fairly tightly and mine fits some a little looser but they all "fit well" in my opinion (really I have about 8 different cases and they ALL fit differently anyway - .4mm is not a big difference)
But there is a DEFINITE (albeit small) difference in the length of the two models - it's NOT just the chipset at all...

Size too big?

Like many of you here ive been drooling over the GN since day one but the biggest phone ive had is my current one-the tmobile g2.. considering that this is the biggest phone out there, apart from the mini tablets like the note, are you guys really fine with having such a huge device in your hands day in day out? (no TWSS implied). sure i can see it being perfect for media but as an everyday device? would like some specific input, preferably from GN owners. thanks

Check out the comparison shots and reviews. The phone's footprint is not much bigger than most 4.3" phones out there. Its very thin and the bezel is very small.
i was slightly worried .... i dont have big hands....
. But the size is fine !
Couldnt handle much bigger tho
I came from an HD2 which is heavier but the same width and about 10mm shorter. Nexus feels perfectly fine in the hand, its 30g lighter than my HD2 so its much more comfortable to hold for longder periods and its also easier to use as the grip feels secure when using 1 handed. Dont be worried its a great phone and a fantastic screen.
Mark.
Thanks guys.
I also had the same concerns like spovat, because I also have small hands but still could manage a Desire HD.
You can see for yourself at: www.phone-size.com
To be honest i think i just hold it differently to my desire and my average thumb stretches across just fine
I don't have a problem with the size, I find it very comfortable to hold, type and call with.
Though it does make my Blackberry torch seem like a toy now
i find that its just about fit my hands (i came from nexus one -> nexus S -> G Nexus).
i can still operate with one hands with no problem, however, the phone seems to be sitting/lying on my fingers most of the time instead of my fingers grabbing it.
what i am trying to say here is, when i operate it, if someone accidently bump (lighly) into me, the phone is highly chance to drop out of my hands. but i do like the size...

In addition to using a phone size visualizer, do a search on flickr for the Galaxy Nexus. I found pics of the G2 sitting next to the Galaxy Nexus as a size comparison. Also, since the G2 is similar in size to the iPhone, you can use that as a visual as well. The G2 however is very thick, the Nexus will be much thinner for you.

from Sensation XE to Galaxy NEXUS to ONE S and now to ONE X?

hey guys..
four months ago i bought the xe and sold it for the gnex, because of the better display.
now i exchanged my gnex for the one s and now i have the problem that the display isn't perfect. i sent it back to htc because of the coating failure.
and now i am thinking of selling the ons and paying estimated 100€ to buy the ONE X.
would you do it or would you stay with the ONE S?
are you happy with the ONE X?
I LOVE MY ONE X
No faults whatsoever. But maybe you should wait for the sg3.
Send it back and wait for the sgs 3 if you want or get a one x if you want the display.
no i don't like samsungs. i hate touchwiz and i love sense
therefore it should be a htc.
but i mainly bought the one s because of it's beautifuuuuuul design, but the screen is really a problem for me
do you like the design of the one x? do you have any scratches?

If you're a display fanatic, like the Sensation, the One X ships with two different panels. One's warm and one's cool. The consensus is that the cool is preferred.
There's also a stange issue that affects some One X's that causes graphics issues like screen flickering and dots. It's most likely s/w but you could be impacted until HTC comes up with a solution.
You might want to hold on to the One S until the dust settles.
what are the display types called ?
which is the warm one and which the cool one ?

I LOVE the design of the X, it is the epitome of a perfect phone. Beautiful to look at, as light as a feather, and so soft and smooth to touch and ooerate. And very very fast at switching between apps. And the screen size is as large as can be without being uncomfortable. Any larger and the buttons and keyboard are too big for thumbtyping.
No scratches
Tough one, if you are anal about display quality, go for the X. If not stay with the S. Much better feel to it.
But I ended up with the X eventually. You can read alot about the X and S here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582396
Edit, one thing though. The developers seems to take on the X. Leaving the S a little behind atm. But that can change.

Touchwiz.. I would not have it even if the sg3 came with a butler, beer and 1yr supply of whisky. Touchwiz is terrible..

Buying white one x

Hi guys,
I want to buy a new one x but I can't make up my mind about the color yet. I mean I like the white one but I'm worried that it will get dirty easily specially that I intend to use it without a cover. Can you share on your experience using a white one x without a cover?
Mine has stayed pretty clean. I use it with and without a case.
It really depends on who's carrying the phone, there are some clumsy people who just put their mobile anywhere they like, and their are some people who are just conscious who keeps thinking what if i put it here and there will it get some scratch or so whatever.
For me, just keep it balance, put the phone in a place that you know it'll be safe and neat, though i am one of the owner of black one, white HOX is pretty descent as well, my cousin has one and he is still maintaining the smoothness and cleanliness of it.
It doesn't get dirty much but I always have a case as I read a newspaper on my morning commute to work and the ink rubs off very easily onto the phone or clear or white cases. So I use a black case so it doesn't show any ink marks! As long as your hands are clean it should stay white.

I have the white one close to four months now. At first, I used a case because I feared dirt or scratch marks. But after one or two weeks I ditched the case and never looked back. My phone is still clean and I have no scratch marks whatsoever.
I have white one x no problems I don't even use a case but I recommend waitin for the one x+ should be out soon

[Q] Call quality and reception

Hi everyone.
I recently bought a Lumia 920, but is having some serious problems with the vibrator. I have exchanged the phone to a similar one, but I am going to Exchange this one too. I can't live with the Rattle.
I had the One S earlier, but I didn't like it because it had a static noise whenever I talked to someone, and had to lower the volume to a degree where I couldn't here them. Is that also a problem with the One X.? I know the One X uses a different processor than then One S, and probably a different chip for noise cancellation.?
And how is the reception on it.? Nokia is picking up 3G where I previosly couldn't with my iPhone, is the polycarbonat body helping the One X in similar way.?
Any help would be highly appriciated.
One X has none of the problems you just described. It's a nice phone, and only it's average battery life gets in the way.

Ok. I looked at the One X at the store today, and if there really isn't any problems with it(despite battery) i'm going back to Android.
I do Work in a place with crappy coverage and was told the S3 was one of the worst, the store couldn't say if the X had that problem, but had never heard of it.
Just don't do it. The one x is the worst pos phone for build quality I have ever owned. Do some research and buy something decent like an s3
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I did some research, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. There have been a research in Denmark, that tested the S3 and iPhone 5 to have the worst antennas, I am therefore a bit worried about exchanging it with the S3.
How bad is the quality of the One X, and what is wrong with it.?
I dont know what exactly the other user meant by "The one x is the worst pos phone for build quality I have ever owned.", but so far the One X is on my top list for design and material strength, bought my phone 6 months ago, barely any scratches on screen and 0 scratches on body(i've dropped it from 1 meter height around 5 times, indoors), the polycarbonate body is very flexible and there is a very thin coating of self-healing material (not sure about black model).
The problems with One X :
1- glass lens is a little loose and easily scratch-able
2- the phones signals (wifi/3G/GPS) go insanely bad if you apply bending forces on the phone.
3- screen is "bulging out" and if you drop the phone facedown on rough surface(asphalt/rocks) you will definitely break the screen. (which phone wont :S)

Are you seriously comparing One X build quality with the Galaxy S3 of all phones? No one compares build quality of any phone with Samsung. Period. Any Samsung phone, even if it has very good internal hardware, always feels like a cheap Chinese phone due to Samsung's inane choice of materials.

Ok.
I exchanged it to a Samsung SG3 instead. Couldn't really decide, but I read that the One X had problems with WI-FI, and that really was the only thing that made me choose Samsung. Love the One X design and the SG3.
Thank you for your help, and as a note. If you consider buying the Lumia 920, don't. I went to 3 different stores, and they are all sending the remaining phones in as DOA because of the Rattle problem. Tried 6 phones and they all had the Rattle.
Damn, that's messed up. I didn't expect that from Nokia. How did they miss such an obvious issue during manufacturing?
One X doesn't have any major WiFi issues, at least none that I've noticed in daily usage. There was something about WiFi reception gaining/dropping if the back is flexed real hard (don't remember properly). But if you're a heavy phone user, and you use your phone a lot when you're outside and don't want to be crippled by battery, you did good by getting the SGS3.

[Q] M8 Icons and cases

Hi all, just received my new HTC one M8 today and glad I went for it, been an avid HTC user since they first came out and am really pleased.
Looking for a bit of advice. I have copied an image onto the front screen as a widget from the android image gallery and then one of one of my own photos, however it is tiny, any way of increasing the size????. On my previous HTC one X it was approx 3/4 centimeter square but on the new M8 it is about a 1/4 square.
Also looking for a case that will protect it from the elements as spend a lot of time in dusty conditions. Looking at the Supcase beetle defender or the Love MEI case. Both these cases have an extra glass and dust covers over the ports. Anyone any advice which to go for????. My only concern re the Love MEI one is that all of them seem to be in China or come from China so not sure of the authenticity.
Thanks again all

For suggestions on cases for the device check this thread: One (M8) Accessories There are plenty of threads where they discuss cases.
I'm not really sure about the other point you have, are you using a specific app to make widgets of pics? If so, which? I don't see an option to do such a thing on my phone, so I can't really test it and see if I can find a solution to it. Not much help there, sorry.
