HELP! Cannot boot to recovery!

HELP! rooted, checked its rooted but cannot boot into recovery! flashed recovery also many times already
Keep on going to samsung boot screen with a off-centre logo and flickering screen, then it goes blank.
Please help! Trying to flash some custom rom but just cant get into recovery.

That works, TWRP works, but CWM just wont. I'm using a n7105 international variant, any possible reasons?
another weird thing, i can only flash TW based roms, like cleanrom etc. All CM and aokp roms will go through the flicker thingy and blank screen.
Help please! the reason i root is to do away with tw!

I'm having this exact problem and have no idea what the issue is. If I wait a while after the screen goes black I see the buttons light up and when I press them I get hapic feedback. So I'm assuming it's disabling the screen or something?

Yeah you are correct.
As long as capacitive buttons turn on and the phone vibrates, it means it has booted which generally means a successful boot but failure in screen.
Secondly make sure you do not flash N7100 roms on N7105.
They are too very different phones.
Additionally try cleaning cache dalvik data and system.
Also make sure recovery is for n7105.

Flash stock rom with PC Odin. Root again & flash TWRP Recovery.

I also had this flickering recovery bug. I was flashing CWM with Toolkit v3.0.0 and i think, the problem is in recovery version it uses 6.0.1.7). I reflashed it 3x but every time the same flickering. So i found 6.0.1.5 somewhere, and it is working like a charm.

Same problem here. Would you mind if i ask for a copy of the 6.0.1.5? I would like so much to root my phone but cant go to CWM or the android system recovery.

How did you flash the 6.0.1.5 Tuxxperia? did you still use the toolkit or just odin?

Gt-n7100 4.1.2
got the same problem too. every time i boot to recovery(-volume+home button+power) i got this flickiring and then the screen shutsdown, i tried different version of cwm but not those with img file type.

I flashed via mobile odin made nandroid backup all is well and working ' thank you verymuch now I can gets aflashing ' only got my note 2 replacement yesterday its been hard not being able to flash roms liquid jellybean here I come

Recovery mode not working or crashes...

Guys I recently bought note 2 n7100 series... When I try and get into recovery by pressing volume up+home+power button... I can see samsung note w n7100 and suddenly it what do u say... Like the screen in which note 2 n7100 is there it it scatters around and shuts down. I can not boot into recovery.... Pls reply and help me Pls and yes I rooted it though.. I'll try posting the vedio of the crash of recovery on YouTube and post the link until then please help.. I believe in Xda developers and members...!!!

Well I had same problem I flashed a custom recovery twrp using Mobile Odin and that fixed ed my prob

if u want to remain in stock recovery you can also flash a stock recovery i think there are some in dr.ketan post

[Q] N7100 stuck on bootscreen

I tried flashing CM 10.1.3 on my phone using CWM but for some reason every time I try to CWM crashes and reboots the phone. Now its stuck on the screen where it says
"Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100"
I can turn it off and go into recovery and download mode but every time I try to flash a rom using CWM it just reboots. Yes I did all three wipes before flashing. I tried to use Odin to re-Root the phone and to no avail. I tried just wiping all three and rebooting. i tried flashing other roms still no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced

Try using odin to flash the tar version of phils revovery see if that works. It's worked for others with similar problems

Clockwork mod problem

When I try and boot into recovery my splash screen is all destorted and then the screen is just black and nothing happens 'so I carnt flash anything ' any ideas I was gonna flash philz recovery but am unable to because of this problem

Can you get download mode? Try flashing phils recovery with odin see if that works

You can only flash recovery via Odin. Must be wrong recovery you flashed. Same happened to me. Or if you can boot into Rom find app like goo manager with reboot to recovery and see if that works

Thanks for the replys guys I just in rooted my phone and I'm back too normal I've just noticed I'm on 4.3 fw when I chose a 4.1.2 fw
Lol so now I've got that new knox bootloader anyway is there something different I have to do when rooting this phone now and what about roms and stuff not flashed a rim since dito v1 and [email protected] note 4.1.2 think I've got a lot of catching up to do and use full links on this knox bootloader would be great thnx

Hard bricked grand!!

Gys I have no idea what happened to my grand today ..I was reverting back to stock rom using Odin and I had done this many times before but this time while I was flashing my phone using odin it disconnected and the phone not booting or entering to download mode not even charging:crying:
No idea what happened my warranty expire day after tomorrow Plz give me some suggesssion

before doing this I flashed S5 icons.zip from note2 forum in my rooted stock fw and it was working but bit laggy so i was trying to revert back to stock then this happened

Same kind of problems here man what happened I also flash stock 4.2.2 via PC Odin... Download mode says this ..,

No man I see a post which say to clear he use pit should be done this job...all this normal expect screen is fillkrr in boots and in launcher it is quite annoying I done wipe cahce and data many times even that problems are their any one can help...that....

I undetstand your problem.. Try to change your battery... With a dead battery all the above symptoms can happen...

Y u upset.. It's the latest build problem.. Not your phone..Those who updated to bnb2 have this problem.. This is not a big issue... Phone working fine

As the fellow members said this is usual. That red message shows the eMMC firmware version. Nothing great. And using a PIT file never changes that. A pit file is Partition Identification Table in which a code is written directing the Odin to flash files to different directories. Never use a pit file unless or until necessary. Flashing with a pit file may not be a walk in the park all time. Pit should be used only if Odin says There is no PIT partition. So never advice anyone in that way to use PIT.
