For those of you who have tried the wireless charging mod for the T889 version of the SGN2, do you get a voltage drop across the receiver coils with the phone not charging on the Touchstone but powered up? What about NOT charging but powered off? I'm just wondering if the missing hardware controller shuts off power to the receiver coil when the phone is not in wireless charging mode. Do you notice a drop in battery usage time or no drop at all?
Anyone have access to the N7100 version that can verify this?
I'm contemplating applying this mod, but I also want some control over when the receiver coil is active. [I was hoping to post this under the developer thread started by Vinas1, but don't have posting rights to that area yet. I need to pay my dues with 10 posts]
Wireless charging is not much current. I think around standard usb current which is 500mah. The stock charger is 2000mah (2amps). So that means when in wireless charging if you have the screen on it will most likely not charge but keep it at whatever percent it is currently at. If you are doing anything else as well like GPS you can expect it to drain on wireless charging.
it seem that after installing the palm pixi touichstone, is not charging my phone wireless-ly, i test out the touchstone it works out showing 5.5v but testing the terminal on my phone while usb charging, is not giving me the 5.5v.
Anything should i know about what to do?
My charge port started to give me problems. Wouldn't charge unless I would push the prong in the port up and now it completely won't get a connection. I bought a new port and my only question is that I lost my OEM charger and have been using my nexus 10 tablet charger. Do you think that assisted in the port breaking? Cause if you think it did I won't use it on my new one.
Thanks
I have no idea how qi charging works. Can someone let me know if this will work with my g4 with telus as my carrier.

Also how do you set it up?
My N7 isn't charging wirelessly anymore. Was working fine for the last 18 months. Curious if there's something I can do like replacing the QI component? Have no idea how to fix this. Thanks for any help!

Can you confirm that your N7 charges OK via USB and the Qi pad charges OK other devices?
What is the current consumption with and without N7 on the Qi pad?
If you can't confirm nor test any of the above, then it is a safe bet to assume that the battery is faulty.
Thank you for replying. It charges fine via USB and the Qi Pad charges my other N7 successfully. After reading some other posts on this forum I removed the casing and lifted the QI contacts up slightly. It seems to be charging OK now thankfully!! If it stops working again I'll check the current consumption and post back.
